Abstract

The invention relates to the field of communications. In the claimed invention, data are collected by an operator in relation to service users, said data comprising parameters in accordance with which organization of users into groups will be performed, this information is entered into corresponding operator databases, the information is processed by a control device, and recommendations for the grouping of users on the basis of the correspondence of specific parameters are issued. Furthermore, parameters used for performing the organization of users into groups are data relating to interests and preferences of users, personal data of users, and user request data, and the number of participants in one group is limited and is set by a user on creation of the group. The grouping of users into groups comprises the following steps: (а) registration of a service user with the aid of a communications device on the server of an operator and generation of a request for creation of a group, (b) assignment of a personal identifier to a user and entry of this personal identifier into a corresponding data base of a social data module of the operator server, (с) addressing, by the control device, of a module for schedules and work times of mass culture organizations and the social data module, (d) processing of a set of suggestions made to a user in respect of joining one or another group.

Description

Method and system for organizing users into groups

The invention relates to the field of communication, and in particular, to a method and system that provides the ability to establish communication between people based on any parameters and select them into groups according to these parameters based on predefined preferences in order to facilitate dating and establish contacts between people for sharing visits to various cultural events and institutions (bars, restaurants, cinemas, concerts, etc.) and other ways of joint leisure, recreation and communication, as well as any other joint time pastime of group members. Currently, various online services are widely used to establish contacts between people. Basically, these services are aimed at virtual activity within the social graph of users of the service: searching for contacts by various filters, exchanging messages and news, posting your own content and viewing content posted by other users, etc. Searching for contacts and organizing your own network of user contacts is one of the main purposes of these services.

However, contacts between people cannot be limited only to virtual communication. On the one hand, users of various social networks need to organize joint visits to various cultural events and institutions (bars, restaurants, cinemas, concerts, etc.). On the other hand, the organizers of such events and the owners of various entertainment facilities are obviously interested in attracting the maximum audience, using for this, including online services. One of the possibilities of social networks is to unite users into groups, as well as issue recommendations to the user about joining a particular group on the basis of information contained in his profile and information related to the groups and communities in which the user is involved. As a rule, user groups on social networks also focus on the virtual activity of participants within the group, the exchange of content, messages and news on any specific topic. The inconvenience of existing social network services in terms of organizing visits to cultural events, entertainment facilities, etc. It consists in the fact that all activities for creating a group, selecting participants, scheduling, as well as appointing a place and time for meetings of group members, as a rule, are not automated and should be done by users independently. There is no possibility of arbitrary search among the entire set of events currently registered and joining the group planning to attend the specified event.

Automated methods for creating and supporting groups and user communities in social networks are mainly used to target advertising of goods and services or to identify groups of users who may be interested in a particular content and content recommendations to potential users. Thus, these methods are aimed not at end users, but at providers, advertisers, etc. In particular, US Pat. Another example of services, which include, among other things, the organization of a group to attend an event, institution, etc. various promotional “discount” services, such as Groupon or Biglion, can serve. The main purpose of such services is to advertise suppliers of goods and services and to distribute coupons that provide the bearer with a discount on a particular product or service (visiting a bar or restaurant, purchasing a ticket, etc.). If the discount size depends on the number of visitors to a particular event, it becomes necessary to create a group to participate in the event. The indicated services, however, as a rule do not have the means of organizing groups, selecting participants, etc. The participants are entirely responsible for organizing and maintaining the activity of the group.

In the patent of the Russian Federation _N ^* 2447605, a method and apparatus for selecting people based on pre-programmed preferences are described. The method and device described in this patent are close to the claimed invention, however, they have significant disadvantages. In particular, the method does not imply the possibility organization of groups, contact is established only between two clients. In addition, the method and device, although they provide an opportunity to specify in advance the filters by which potential contacts will be selected, are aimed only at establishing a contact as such at a given time. There is no possibility of planning a schedule, choosing a meeting place, etc.

Closest to the proposed invention in terms of essential features is the technical solution according to the patent of the Russian Federation JV "2427090" System and method for organizing group presentations of content and communication in a group during their implementation ", selected by the authors as a prototype.

The invention relates to the field of communication and distribution of content

(content), in particular to group organization and communication between group members during group viewing of content. The technical result is the ability to simultaneously view video or audio content for multiple users, while some or all users are connected to each other through a network. The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that many users synchronously view the content element, such as a movie, while users interact, for example, through an instant messaging system. A viewing event can be organized as a result of users receiving invitations, responding to invitations, and receiving reminders of the viewing event. A viewing event allows a contest between users. Users can be charged for participation in the viewing event.

The known technical solution does not provide the ability to select users in groups according to various criteria based on user preferences.

Thus, there is a need to create a method and system for creating groups based on user preferences. The purpose of creating a group can be a visit to any event, cultural or other institution and any other joint pastime of group members. The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for organizing users into groups according to various parameters based on predefined preferences, as well as a system that implements the specified method. The parameters by which users can be selected into groups can be data on the interests of participants, their gender and age characteristics, geolocation data, desire to attend similar cultural events, cultural and entertainment facilities, make a trip, buy an expensive item, and any other wishes of the participants. At the same time, the main goal of creating a group is not the virtual activity of the participants within the group, providing for any joint action or any other form of joint pastime of the group members (joint viewing of content, sharing news, thematic links, etc.). The main goal of creating the group is “on-line” planning of personal time of participants using the web service in such a way as to organize their subsequent meeting “off-line”. Moreover, the time, place, purpose and composition of the meeting participants are determined in advance, in the process of implementing the method.

The technical result of the present invention is to expand the functionality of the method and system of organizing users in groups. The technical result is achieved due to the fact that in the method of organizing users into groups, including collecting data by the operator about users of the service, containing parameters by which users will be organized into groups, and entering this information into the corresponding operator databases, processing the information by the control device and issuing recommendations for grouping users based on the coincidence of certain parameters, it is proposed:

- as parameters by which users are organized into groups, use data on the interests and preferences of users, personal data of users, user request data, - limit the number of participants in one group by the user and set it when creating the group, - break the process of grouping users into groups into the following stages:

(a) registering a user of the service using a communication device on the operator’s server and generating a request to create a group,

(b) assigning a personal identifier to the user and entering it into the appropriate database of the operator server’s social data module,

(c) access of the control device to the module of schedules of events and working hours of cultural institutions and the module of social data,

(d) the development of a set of proposals to the user for joining a particular group, (e) if the user agrees to join a certain group, he informs the control device about this, which then continues the selection of participants in this group, after the completion of the selection of participants in a certain group the control device issues a “receipt of the meeting” to each member of the group through which the meeting of the group members takes place, (f) if the user does not agree to join the group proposed by the control device, yayuschee device continues selection of options, which runs in an interactive mode, the user can change all the criteria for selecting the groups, namely, event, place, time and composition of the group.

The technical result is also achieved due to the fact that in the system of organizing users in groups, including user communication devices and the operator’s server with a control device and a database of users, an additional module is added for social data and user activity, a module for event schedules and cultural events institutions and a communication module that are connected by communication channels to the control device.

Using the proposed method and system, it is possible to achieve: • opportunities for effective planning and organization of personal time,

• increase of efficiency in the implementation of new acquaintances, in the selection of partners for communication and meetings,

• reduction of time for searching and selecting partners and organizing their acquaintances,

• increase economic efficiency and increase the turnover of cultural and entertainment institutions, catering enterprises, etc. due to an increase in the number of customers (attendance at establishments),

• increasing the level of sales of service and cultural institutions through the creation of a hardware and software complex that involves the integration of a social network and information systems of entertainment institutions,

• improving the security of data exchange between users of the system due to the ability to exchange messages via short numbers, without providing a mobile phone number and other contact information to other users.

Additionally, the service includes a module 4 of social data and user activity, module 6 of event schedules and cultural mass institutions, a communication module 5, which are connected by communication channels 2 to the control device 3.

The system in accordance with the present invention operates as follows: The user, using the communication device 1, connects to the server 7 of the operator and enters his registration data. The set of registration data that must be specified is determined by the operator’s server. In particular, the registration data may contain links to external data sources (for example, social networking services) from which data on user interests can be selected. If the entered set of registration data has not previously been saved in the user database of the social data module 4, the control device 3 of the operator server saves the user registration data in the user database of the social data module 4. Moreover, in the user database of the social data module 4 a new service user profile is created, to which a personal identifier is assigned. After registration, the user, using the communication device 1, enters the request parameters for creating a group, which may include, in particular:

• gender - age characteristics of group members

• event time • event venue

• type of event

• current geographic coordinates of the user (indicated if the communication device supports geolocation)

The full set of possible group search parameters is set at the level of the control device 3 of the operator server. The user can specify any combination of search parameters, that is, parameters may not be specified, or only some parameters may be specified. The value of the search parameters can be set not by an absolute value, but by a choice of a range of values (for example, the age of the group members from 25 to 30 years, the time of the event from 17 to 22 hours).

The set of search parameters entered over the communication channel 2 is transmitted from the user communication device 1 to the control device 3 of the operator server. The control device 3 searches for suitable groups and events by the combination of parameters entered by the user in the database of module 4 of social data and the database of module 6 of event schedules. In this case, the search for groups is carried out taking into account the data specified in the profile of the user who initiated the search. Search results contain only those groups that the user who initiated the search can join.

The list of found groups on the communication channel 2 is transmitted from the control device 3 of the operator server to the user communication device 1. If the geographical coordinates of the user who initiated the search were transmitted in the search request, they are taken into account by the control device 3 of the operator’s server when searching. The result, in this case, contains only places remote from the user at a certain distance and events whose time is separated from the current time of the user at a certain time (parameters are set on the control device of the operator’s server). Using a communication device 1, a user browses a list containing parameters for upcoming events and, based on the results of the viewing, performs one of the following actions: - confirms joining one of the proposed groups. In this case, in the user database of module 4 of social data, a connection is established between the selected group and the user profile. If the group to which the user has confirmed joining is administrable, then the control device 3 of the operator server, using the communication module 5, sends the user who created the group a request about the possibility of joining the user initiating the search group. In this case, the connection between the selected group and the user profile in the user database of module 4 of social data is established only after receiving confirmation from the user who created the group. After joining the group, the user with the communication module 5 is provided with a personal identifier for exchanging messages within the group. This opens up the possibility of internal communication with participants in the upcoming meeting;

The following are indicated as group parameters: 1. Location and time of the event. An event can be selected from the list of events in the database of module 6 event schedules, or set by the user. 2. Gender - the age composition of the participants, their maximum number (the full composition of the group), as well as the mandatory composition of the group (the number of participants, which is mandatory for the group meeting to take place). Number of participants is a mandatory parameter of the group, because the proposed method and system for organizing users into groups provides for the possibility of organizing only those groups that are limited by the number of participants.

3. The end time of the group fees (the time after which new members cannot join the group). This parameter may not be specified by the user when creating a group. If the parameter is not specified, it is calculated automatically by the operator server control device.

4. Group type: administered or non-administered. New members will be able to join the non-administered group without additional requests. The addition of new members to the administered group must be approved by the group moderator, that is, the user who initiated the creation of the administered group.

The parameters of the created group are entered by the user using the communication device 1 and transmitted to the control device 3 of the operator server via the communication channel 2. The control device 3 of the operator server generates a new group in the database of the social data module 4 and establishes a connection between the newly formed group and the user profile.

After joining the group, the user can vote for an event that he wants to attend with the group members. Voting is available if, during the creation of the group, parameters were specified that did not allow to determine a specific event (for example, a group was created to visit a movie theater, but a specific movie show was not specified). Voting is implemented as follows:

The generated list is transmitted to the communication device 1. 5. The user interacts with the system through a communication device capable of transmitting geolocation information (for example, a mobile phone with GPS - navigation function). Initial conditions: the user is in any geographical point and wants to plan for the near future. In this case:

1. Using a communication device, the user accesses the group organization service. When accessing the service, the current geographical coordinates of the user are transmitted.

2. The system offers the user a list of groups to which he can join. The list includes groups:

a. created for attending events in the near future (for example, no later than 1 hour later)

b. created for attending an event that belongs to any category and which, at the same time, is geographically located close to the user's current position (for example, within a radius of 1 km.) c. for which the gender - age characteristics of potential participants correspond to the gender - age characteristics of the user.

3. The user joins the group he likes, after which he is given access to the communication capabilities of the system (for example, text messaging and telephone communications) between the group members. 4. If, after the user joins the group, the meeting conditions for this group are met, the system generates a receipt for the meeting to the group members with a description of the time and place of the meeting. 5. Group members meet at a specified location at a specified time and attend a scheduled event.

c. Number of participants - 6 people

2. The created group is included in the search results for groups performed by other users who access the service.

The proposed method and system provides the following positive effect for users participating in the service:
