Abstract

An emergency call transmitter (3), having at least one emergency call tripping device (7), at least one electronics module (9, 31) and at least one carrier unit (5) which is carried on or over a human wrist, finger, arm or neck, wherein the emergency call tripping device is designed as an electronic emergency call tripping device (7) which prevents accidental tripping of an emergency call, wherein said electronic emergency call tripping device (7) is activated by the carrier unit (5) which is designed to rotate about a rotation axis and which, when it is manually rotated (13) by hand or finger, trips an emergency call when a defined relative change (52) in rotation angle is exceeded, wherein the electronic emergency call tripping device (7) determines the exact data of the rotation (13) of the carrier unit (5) using at least one sensor system (11, 19, 21).
