There is a possibility that the magnetic flux F transmitted from one side does not reach the other and inductive coupling cannot be performed.
- the space allocated for mounting a plurality of antennas as described above on electronic devices such as portable terminal devices has become extremely small. Therefore, in order to mount the antenna coil for RFID and the charging coil for non-contact charging in the same space, there is a demand for downsizing and thinning of the antenna module, and also for the combination and integration of a plurality of coil modules. It is getting stronger.

- the short-range wireless communication between the antenna module 2 that is the reader / writer and the IC tag is the same as the communication between the reader / writer 71 and the antenna module 2 described above.
- the antenna coil provided in the IC tag is smaller than the antenna coil 5 of the antenna module 2 built in the mobile phone 60.
- the outer diameter of the antenna coil 2 is 60 mm ⁇ 50 mm
- the outer diameter of a small antenna coil built in an IC tag or the like in the NFC standard is 20 mm ⁇ 25 mm.
- the magnetic field transmitted from the antenna module on the mobile phone side becomes dense near the antenna coil, and the magnetic flux density becomes sparse as the distance from the antenna coil increases.
- the magnetic field transmitted from the antenna module on the IC tag side In short-distance wireless communication, the cellular phone 60 is held over an IC tag so that the distance between the antenna module 2 and the antenna coil on the IC tag side is close to several millimeters. For this reason, if the inner / outer diameter difference between the inner diameter of the antenna coil 5 that performs communication and the outer diameter of the small antenna coil on the IC tag side increases, the magnetic flux transmitted by one may not reach the other and inductive coupling may not be possible ( (See FIG. 16).
- the antenna module 2 on the mobile phone 60 side has an upper side 5c and a lower side 5d so that the inner diameter of the antenna coil 5 is close to the outer diameter of the small antenna coil 20 of the antenna module on the IC tag side.
- the innermost antenna pattern is formed closer to the center of the antenna coil 5 than the antenna patterns formed on the left side 5a and the right side 5b. Thereby, the antenna coil 5 can be brought close to the pattern of the antenna coil on the IC tag side, and communication with the small antenna coil 20 can be performed.
- the antenna coil 5 has at least the innermost antenna pattern of the antenna patterns formed on the upper side 5 c and the lower side 5 d superimposed on the non-contact charging coil 7 of the non-contact charging module 3.
- the antenna coil 5 has a line width W of the innermost antenna pattern superimposed on the non-contact charging coil 7 equal to or smaller than the line width of the antenna pattern outside the innermost circumference. .
- the antenna coil 5 sets the line width W of the innermost antenna pattern to 1 mm or less.
- FIG. 4 is a graph showing the relationship between the line width of the antenna pattern on the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d of the antenna coil 5 and the value of the eddy current flowing in the antenna pattern on the upper and lower sides 5c and 5d. Specifically, a magnetic field was generated from the coil on the power transmission side at 120 kHz, and the eddy current generated in the antenna coil 5 at that time was obtained.
- the line width of the antenna pattern of the left side 5a and the right side 5b is fixed to 1 mm, and the line width and pitch of the antenna pattern of the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d overlapping the non-contact charging coil 7 6 and type 2 in which the antenna pattern is formed with the same line width over the entire circumference, and the line width and pitch of the antenna patterns on all sides 5a to 5d are changed equally, as shown in FIG. Prepared.
- FIG. 4 it can be seen that the generation of eddy currents is suppressed as the line width of the antenna pattern is narrowed, and that the effect is prominent when the line width is 1 mm or less.
- the antenna coil 5 may be configured such that only the line width of the innermost antenna pattern is narrow (1 mm or less).
- the line width of the innermost antenna pattern was fixed at 1 mm, the relationship between the line width of the antenna pattern on the outside and the eddy current was examined.
- a magnetic field was generated from a coil on the power transmission side at 120 kHz, and an eddy current generated in the antenna coil 5 at that time was obtained.
- the line width of the antenna pattern of the left side 5a and the right side 5b is fixed to 1 mm, and the innermost circumference of the antenna patterns of the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d overlapping the non-contact charging coil 7 is used.
- a type 3 was prepared in which the line width of the antenna pattern was fixed to 1 mm and the line width of the outside antenna pattern was changed.
- the line width of the antenna pattern of the left side 5a and the right side 5b is fixed to 1 mm, and the line width and pitch of the antenna pattern of the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d overlapping the non-contact charging coil 7 are changed equally. Contrast with Type 1
- the line width of the antenna pattern on the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d is changed equally.
- it has the same effect in suppressing eddy currents. This is because since the magnetic flux density passing through the outer peripheral side of the antenna coil 5 is small, the generation of eddy current is also small. That is, it can be seen that the effect can also be obtained by reducing only the line width of the innermost antenna pattern (less than 1 mm).
- the line width of the innermost antenna pattern overlapping the non-contact charging coil 7 is fixed to 1 mm, and the outer antenna pattern is formed with the same line width over the entire circumference.
- the eddy current when the line width of the outer antenna pattern is changed is Examined.
- Type 4 has the same effect in suppressing eddy currents as compared with Type 2 in which the antenna pattern is formed with the same line width over the entire circumference. This is because since the magnetic flux density passing through the outer peripheral side of the antenna coil 5 is small, the generation of eddy current is also small. This also shows that the effect can be obtained by making only the line width of the innermost antenna pattern narrow (1 mm or less).
- the antenna coil 5 may form the slit 10 along the longitudinal direction of the antenna pattern in the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d. Even when the slit 10 is formed, the line width of the antenna pattern can be substantially narrowed in the formation region of the slit 10 and the generation of eddy current can be suppressed, as in the case where the width is narrowed. For this reason, as an antenna pattern, it is preferable that the pattern width divided
- one slit 10 may be formed in one antenna pattern, or a plurality of slits 10 may be formed in one antenna pattern as shown in FIG. Further, the slits 10 may be formed in all antenna patterns on the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d, but the same effect can be obtained even if formed only in the innermost antenna pattern.
- the slit 10 may be formed with the same width in all the antenna patterns on the other two sides 5c and 5d of the antenna coil 5, or may be gradually widened from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side.
- FIG. 13 shows a composite coil module 1 in which the line width of the antenna pattern on the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d of the antenna coil 5 is larger than the line width of the antenna pattern on the left side 5a and the right side 5b, and the pitch between the patterns is increased.
- 4 is a graph showing an eddy current generation state when the number of slits 10 formed in the antenna pattern of the upper side 5c and the lower side 5d is changed.
- the composite coil module 1 may be formed by a single magnetic sheet 11, an antenna coil 5 superimposed on the magnetic sheet 11, and a non-contact charging coil 7.
- the magnetic sheet 11 and the antenna coil 5 are formed in substantially the same shape, and the non-contact charging coil 7 is formed in substantially the same diameter so as to be inscribed in the outer edges of the antenna coil 5 and the magnetic sheet 11.
- the magnetic sheet 11 draws a magnetic field into each of the antenna coil 5 and the non-contact charging coil 7.
- the configuration of the magnetic sheet 11 is the same as that of the first magnetic sheet 4 and the second magnetic sheet 6 described above.
- the antenna coil 5 and the non-contact charging coil 7 are formed with the same diameter and the magnetic sheet 11 is shared, so that the area occupied by the composite coil module 1 can be reduced. Also in the configuration shown in FIG. 14, when an attempt is made to receive magnetic flux by the non-contact charging coil 7, generation of eddy current can be suppressed in the innermost antenna pattern superimposed on the non-contact charging coil 7. .
- Non-contact charging module 3 is provided on a sheet-like second magnetic sheet 6 formed of a magnetic material different from the first magnetic sheet 4 and the second magnetic sheet 6 and is wound in a planar shape.
- the second magnetic sheet 6 is formed in a size that fits inside the opening 2 a of the antenna coil module 2. Moreover, the 2nd magnetic sheet 6 consists of a sintered compact of the magnetic particle formed in the sheet form similarly to the 1st magnetic sheet 4 mentioned above, for example, can use MnZn type ferrite suitably. The second magnetic sheet 6 may be formed of NiZn ferrite. The second magnetic sheet 6 can be manufactured in the same manner as the first magnetic sheet 4.
- the second magnetic sheet 6 may be formed into a sheet shape including magnetic particles made of soft magnetic powder and a resin as a binder, like the first magnetic sheet 4.
- the second magnetic sheet 6 may be made of the above-described materials that can also be used for the first magnetic sheet 4 with magnetic particles and a binder.
- the second magnetic sheet 6 is not limited to the case of being composed of a single magnetic material, like the first magnetic sheet 4, and two or more kinds of magnetic materials may be mixed and used. Or you may form by laminating
- the second magnetic sheet 6 may be made of the same magnetic material, may be mixed by selecting a plurality of magnetic particle diameters and / or shapes, or may be formed by laminating in multiple layers. .
- the contactless charging coil 7 receives a magnetic field transmitted from the power transmission coil and inductively couples it with the power transmission coil, thereby supplying a charging current to the battery of the portable device in which the composite coil module 1 is incorporated.
- the non-contact charging coil 7 is made of a conducting wire wound in a spiral coil shape, for example.
- the lead wire constituting the non-contact charging coil 7 is a case where the non-contact charging module 3 is used as a secondary charging coil for non-contact charging having a charging output capacity of about 5 W, for example, and used at a frequency of about 120 kHz. It is preferable to use a single wire made of Cu having a diameter of 0.20 to 0.45 mm or an alloy containing Cu as a main component. Alternatively, in order to reduce the skin effect, the conductive wire may be a parallel line or a knitted line obtained by bundling a plurality of fine wires thinner than the above-described single wire, or a single layer using a thin rectangular wire or flat wire. It is good also as a 2 layer alpha winding. Further, the non-contact charging coil 7 may use Cu foil or the like patterned on a substrate such as a flexible substrate according to the current capacity.
- Non-contact charging system Next, the non-contact charging function by the non-contact charging coil 7 will be described.
- the non-contact charging coil 7 is used as, for example, a Qi standard non-contact charging system 80.
- the non-contact charging system 80 charges the battery pack 81 connected to the non-contact charging coil 7 of the non-contact charging module 3 with the charging device 82.
- the non-contact charging coil 7 of the non-contact charging module 3 and the power transmission coil 83 of the charging device 82 are similar to the positional relationship between the antenna coil 5 and the reader / writer 71 described above, and xy of the three-dimensional orthogonal coordinate system xyz. It is assumed that they are arranged so as to face each other on a plane.
- the charging device 82 functions as a power transmission unit that transmits a magnetic field in the z-axis direction to the non-contact charging coils 7 of the non-contact charging module 3 facing each other in the xy plane, and specifically, the non-contact charging coil 7. And a power transmission control board 84 that controls the supply of power to the non-contact charging coil 7 that is inductively coupled via the power transmission coil 83.
- the charging device 82 is provided with a power transmission control board 84 electrically connected to the power transmission coil 83.
- a control circuit made of electronic components such as one or a plurality of integrated circuit chips is mounted. This control circuit supplies a charging current to the non-contact charging coil 7 inductively coupled to the power transmission coil 83.
- the power transmission control board 84 drives the power transmission coil 83 with a power transmission current having a predetermined frequency, for example, a relatively low frequency of 110 kHz.
- the non-contact charging module 3 is incorporated in the housing 61 of the mobile phone 60, and the non-contact charging coil 7 receives the magnetic field transmitted from the power transmission coil 83 and inductively couples with the power transmission coil 83, The received current is supplied to the battery pack 81 incorporated in the mobile phone 60.
- the non-contact charging coil 7 When the non-contact charging coil 7 receives a magnetic field transmitted from the charging device 82, the non-contact charging coil 7 is magnetically coupled to the charging device 82 by inductive coupling, receives the modulated electromagnetic wave, and is charged via the terminal portions 9a and 9b. Current is supplied to the battery pack 81.
- the battery pack 81 applies a charging voltage corresponding to the charging current flowing through the non-contact charging coil 7 to the battery cell inside the battery pack 81.
- the antenna coil 5 that realizes a short-range wireless communication function and the non-contact charging coil 7 that realizes a non-contact charging function are formed. It is possible to realize both the short-range wireless communication function and the non-contact charging function while reducing the size of the housing 61 when incorporated in the telephone 60.
- the line width W of the innermost antenna pattern superimposed on the non-contact charging coil 7 of the antenna coil 5 is set to 1 mm or less, so that the magnetic flux is received by the non-contact charging coil 7.

Abstract
