Abstract
Provided herein are recombinant host cells having an active isopropanol pathway including one or both of a first heterologous polynucleotide encoding an HMG-CoA synthase and a second heterologous polynucleotide encoding an HMG-CoA lyase. Also described are methods of using the recombinant host cells to produce isopropanol and propylene.
