Abstract
The invention relates to a method for operating a device for feeding an asynchronous machine (1), wherein the asynchronous machine (1) has a stator (3) comprising stator windings and a rotor (4) comprising rotor windings (5) and the device comprises a first converter unit (6) and a second converter unit (7). For easy operation of the device and efficient operation of the asynchronous machine (1) one first end of each rotor winding (5) is connected in each case to an AC voltage phase (6R, 6S, 6T) of the first converter unit (6) and one second end of each rotor winding (5) in each case to one AC voltage phase (7R, 7S, 7T) of the second converter unit (7) for starting up the asynchronous machine, and the stator windings are short-circuited for starting up the asynchronous machine (1) and the short-circuit of the stator windings is removed after starting up the asynchronous machine (1). The invention further relates to alternative methods for operating the device.
