Abstract
The invention relates to an energy storage device and to a method for operating an energy storage device. In order to specify an energy storage assembly and a method for the operation thereof that are adapted to complex requirements in the properties of said energy storage assembly and said method for the operation thereof and have both high-current properties and high-energy properties, an energy storage assembly is specified, comprising: at least one high-current cell (20) and at least one high-energy cell (10), wherein the at least one high-energy cell (10) and the at least one high-current cell (20) are connected in parallel, wherein the cells (10, 20) are charged and/or discharged by means of a current pulse and a charge equalization between the cells (10, 20) occurs in the pulse pauses.
