Definitions
- This invention relates to the adapter for portable devices attached to the external connection terminal of a portable device.
- portable devices are provided with external connection terminals (jacks) for connection with external devices for communication and charging.
- jacks external connection terminals
- a plug provided at the end of a cable extending from the charger is inserted into an external connection terminal (jack) of such a portable device.
- Patent Document 1 converts a flat terminal by attaching a terminal conversion adapter to the external connection terminal of the portable terminal. The technology to do is disclosed.
- the flat terminal of the terminal conversion adapter is in contact with and electrically connected to the spring terminal portion of the base on which the portable terminal is placed.
- the terminal conversion adapter of Patent Document 1 includes two plate terminals for external connection, one for power supply and one for ground, and each plate terminal has one electrode surface. For this reason, if the other party's specifications (such as the angle and position of the spring terminal) of the holder or the like are different, it is difficult to use or cannot be used, and there is a problem in terms of convenience.
- the present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and its purpose is to flexibly cope with the case where the specification of the other party such as the holder is different compared to the case where there is only one electrode surface per terminal.
- the object is to provide an adapter for a portable device.
- An aspect of the present invention is an adapter for portable equipment.
- This adapter for portable devices is an adapter attached to an external connection terminal of a portable device, and includes a housing and a conductor portion held by the housing, and the conductor portions are at least electrically connected to each other. It has two electrode surfaces for external connection.
- the housing has a recess facing the outside, the first electrode surface of the conductor portion is positioned on the bottom surface portion of the recess, and the second electrode surface of the conductor portion is supported by the side wall portion of the recess. You may expose outside the said side wall part.
- a notch may be provided in the side wall of the recess, and the conductor may be assembled to the housing from the opening side of the recess while passing the second electrode surface through the notch.
- a lead hole may be provided in a bottom surface portion of the concave portion, and the lead portion of the conductor portion may be inserted into the lead hole to form a contact portion with the portable device side.

- the waterproofing of the portable device holder has not been particularly taken into consideration, but in this embodiment, the connector insertion hole 58 is watertightly sealed by providing the elastic ring 7, and the adapter housing 20 and the connector housing are further sealed. Since watertight sealing is also performed with respect to 60 (watertight space is formed), waterproofness is enhanced. In particular, in the case of in-vehicle use, drinks and the like are often spilled in a vibrating vehicle, and thus high waterproofness is required. However, this embodiment is suitable for such use.
- the adapter 2 can be assembled simply by inserting the conductor portion 30 into the saddle adapter housing 20, the process is simple compared to insert molding.
- the portable device holder 5 is not limited to being mounted on the stand 8 and mounted on the stand 8, but may be a desktop holder type as shown in FIG. In this figure, the case where the waterproof function is omitted is shown.
- the mobile device 1 may be a mobile phone other than a smartphone, a mobile communication device, a mobile music player, or the like.
- the number of the conductor portions 30 of the adapter 2 and the terminal pins 65 of the spring connector 6 is arbitrary, and may be appropriately determined according to the application.
