Abstract

Es wird ein Leuchtmittel (100) vorgeschlagen. Das Leuchtmittel (100) umfasst einen Kolben (2) umfassend ein zumindest teilweise lichtdurchlässiges Material; einen Lampensockel (4) zum Befestigen des Leuchtmittels an eine Fassung und zum Zuführen elektrischer Energie; mindestens einen im Kolben (2) angeordneten Leuchtkörper (8), wobei der Leuchtkörper (8) in einer Trennebene (16) angeordnet ist, welche einen Raum in einen ersten dem Lampensockel (4) abgewandten Halbraum (10) und einen zweiten dem Lampensockel (4) zugewandten Halbraum (12) unterteilt und welche eine Vorzugsrichtung (18) definiert, welche senkrecht zur Trennebene (16) zum ersten Halbraum (10) hin verläuft, wobei der Leuchtkörper (8) dazu ausgebildet ist, im Betrieb Licht vorwiegend in den ersten Halbraum (10) abzustrahlen, und mindestens ein Umlenkelement (14, 24), welches im ersten Halbraum (10) angeordnet und dazu ausgebildet ist, von dem Leuchtkörper (8) abgestrahltes und auf das Umlenkelement (14, 24) treffendes Licht derart zumindest teilweise umzulenken, dass wenigstens ein Teildes umgelenkten Lichts den Kolben (2) passiert und in den zweiten Halbraum (12) abgestrahlt wird.
