- a power conversion system (2) connected to the water-cooled reactor (1) to generate electricity by directly receiving heat energy generated at the core of the water-cooled reactor without a heat exchanger;
- a reload tank 3 used for reloading the nuclear fuel of the water cooled reactor 1;
- Water 100 used as a coolant and a moderator of the water-cooled reactor 1 may use heavy water or hard water.
- Intrinsically safe water-cooled reactor system is for the production of electricity
- the water-cooled reactor (1) is a water-cooled reactor that must be able to operate in a high temperature environment of several hundred °C or more and several MPa or more to obtain sufficient power generation efficiency As such, it may be operated at a pressure condition of 1 to 30 MPa, and may have a reactor outlet temperature of 200 to 700 ° C.
- the water-cooled reactor (1) is a boiling reactor that is allowed to boil the coolant according to the pressure and temperature conditions, a pressurized reactor that is not allowed to boil the coolant, or a supercritical pressure water-cooled reactor using a supercritical water. Can be applied.
- the water-cooled reactor 1 may employ a pool type reactor capable of retaining a large amount of water. This is to ensure that even in the event of a serious accident such as a loss of coolant or a loss of power, even if there is no separate safety system or separate supply of cooling water, a high level of decay heat immediately after the reactor stops can be removed with only a large amount of water in the pool type reactor. .
- the water-cooled reactor 1 includes a nuclear fuel assembly 7 arranged in a ring form as shown in FIG. This is to safely remove the low level of decay heat continuously generated in the fuel rods of the fuel assembly 7 even if all the water in the reactor evaporates due to a serious accident to the outside of the reactor without cooling water through radiant heat transfer.
- the nuclear fuel assembly arranged in such a ring is a large difference from the existing water-cooled nuclear power plant, and the reactor core of the conventional water-cooled nuclear power plant has a nuclear fuel assembly arranged in a circle from the center of the core.
- the circularly arranged fuel assemblies have a very high temperature distribution in the center of the core when all the water in the reactor evaporates, so it is necessary to remove the decay heat through a separate safety injection system.
- the nuclear fuel assembly 7 arranged in a ring shape can easily remove low levels of decay heat through radiant heat transfer, so that a separate safety system is not required.
- the water-cooled reactor 1 is made of silicon carbide (SiC) or corn carbide (ZrC) such as cladding, control rod surface, control rod guide tube, core diaphragm (5, 6), etc. Replaced with a ceramic material. This is to safely remove the low level of decay heat continuously generated in the fuel rods of the fuel assembly 7 even after all the water in the reactor evaporates due to the accident, to the outside of the reactor without cooling water through radiant heat transfer.
- cladding in particular, by replacing the existing metal material with ceramic material such as silicon carbide or cornium nitrate, critical heat flux, which is the maximum heat transfer from the outer wall of the reactor vessel to the cooling water, may be allowed during the worst transition process. In addition, it is possible to prevent the problem that the metal material coating material of the existing water-cooled reactor reacts with water at high temperature to generate hydrogen gas, thereby indicating the danger of hydrogen explosion.
- the water cooled reactor 1 has a structure located underground. By placing the reactor underground, the concrete walls surrounding the steel brazing vessels can be removed.
- the concrete wall is originally a structure for protecting the reactor system from external shocks and shielding of radioactivity, but the concrete wall is unnecessary because the reactor is lowered underground.
- the water cooled reactor 1 may be located underground below the ground surface, and thus may naturally have a reactor cavity 10.
- the reactor cavity 10 is for discharging core decay heat, and the external cooling of the reactor vessel 9 by filling the reactor cavity 10 with water in the event of a serious accident such as a loss of coolant or a loss of power. This makes it possible to effectively cool the reactor.
- the reactor cavity can be filled with water to quickly lose coolant inside the reactor, preventing the core from being exposed to the air when the initial high level of decay heat occurs.
- the reactor cavity 10 includes a reload tank 3 in the containment vessel. Cooling water can be actively supplied using pumps and valves that require power.
- cooling water may be passively supplied to the reactor cavity 10 using only a valve and gravity using a battery, thereby effectively cooling the collapse heat of the reactor even without a separate cooling system.
- the cooling water in the reactor may evaporate in the process of removing the decay heat.
- the generated water vapor is condensed in the inner wall of the containment vessel and the inner wall of the reactor cavity after being discharged to the outside of the reactor, it is collected by the force of the reactor to the reactor cavity 10 by gravity, and serves as a cooling water.
- the water-cooled reactor 1 is a reactor that uses water 100 as a coolant, a method using a reactor coolant pump (RCP) that requires power supply to circulate the coolant water, or any active Natural Circulation method using only the density difference of coolant can be applied without equipment.
- RCP reactor coolant pump
- the steel containment vessel (4) has an effect capable of removing the decay heat through the conduction, radiation and convection heat transfer compared to the concrete containment vessel.
- the steel containment container 4 may include a fin structure as an inner wall. As the containment vessel 4 includes a fin structure, the heat transfer area is increased, thereby enabling more effective removal of decay heat.
- the containment vessel 4 is not limited thereto, and a general steel containment vessel not including the fin structure and a steel brazing vessel including the fin structure may be used.
- the reload tank 3 in the containment vessel may be used as a coolant supply tank for cooling the reactor core in the event of a serious accident such as a loss of coolant or a loss of power.
- the water in the reload tank 3 in the containment vessel is supplied as the coolant of the reactor through a coolant supply valve 12 installed in the core coolant supply pipe 11 of the reload tank in the containment vessel. Valves that require supply or battery operated valves can be used in case of power loss. However, the water in the reload tank 3 in the containment vessel is not only supplied into the reactor 1 for core cooling, but may also be supplied to the reactor cavity 10 for cooling the reactor vessel outside.
- the reactor system according to the present invention may include a flow path for collecting the condensed and flowing water into the reloading tank 3 in the containment vessel. .
- the water condensed through the flow path can be collected into the reloading tank 3 and used as cooling water, through which the continuous cooling water can be supplied from the reloading tank in the containment vessel.
- a coolant loss accident such as a reactor pipe breakage accident occurs. Since the generated water vapor does not escape to the outside of the reactor, the pressure in the reactor 1 may increase, thereby degrading the decay heat removal efficiency. In addition, when the pressure in the reactor continues to rise, an accident such as breakage of the coolant pipe may occur due to failure of the pressure in the reactor system, resulting in an accident such as loss of the coolant.
- the reactor system according to the present invention includes a reload tank 3 and a water-cooled reactor 1 in a containment vessel. Is connected to the reactor decompression pipe (13) to discharge the steam generated in the reactor to the reloading water tank (3) in the containment vessel to condense in the reloading tank, through which the pressure in the reactor can be easily controlled. .
- the reactor pressure reducing pipe 13 is provided with a reactor pressure reducing valve 14, the reactor pressure reducing valve 14 must be opened in order to remove the water vapor continuously generated due to the collapse heat in the situation that the loss of coolant accident does not occur. do.
- the reactor system according to the present invention when the pressure in the reactor reaches a specific set value is pushed to the internal pressure to open the reactor pressure reducing valve 14 passively, after opening the pressure does not close even if the pressure drops below the set value. Do not. Accordingly, even if water vapor is continuously generated due to decay heat, water vapor may be discharged to the reloading water tank 3 in the storage container through the pressure reducing valve 14.
- the water in the reloading tank 3 in the containment vessel may be supplied through a pump in order to supply the cooling water more efficiently when a power loss accident does not occur, and the water in the reloading tank 3 By smoothly supplying the reactor, the cooling efficiency of the reactor can be further improved.
- the reloading tank 3 may be provided in a form in which an upper portion of the side is opened, and through this, when the reloading tank 3 is already filled with water, out of the reloading tank Water overflows and collects passively into the reactor cavity.
- the power conversion system 2 receives heat energy generated in the core of the water-cooled reactor indirectly through the heat exchanger 15 in the containment vessel or directly receives heat energy without the heat exchanger. Both ways are possible.
- the intrinsically safe water-cooled reactor system for electricity production has no safety system even in the event of a serious accident such as a loss of coolant or a loss of power. All decay heat can be safely removed. That is, even when no additional cooling water is supplied from the reloading water tank 3 in the containment vessel and the reactor pressure reducing valve 14 is not operated, the low level after the evaporation of all the water in the reactor from the high level of decay heat It is a water-cooled reactor designed to safely remove all decay heat up to the level of decay heat without exceeding all safety-related thresholds such as reactor internal temperature conditions or containment pressure.
- the intrinsically safe water-cooled reactor system for electricity production may be used as a coolant supply tank in the reloading water tank (3) in the containment when removing the decay heat after the accident, the reloading water tank in the containment vessel ( Since the cooling water can be passively supplied to the reactor core or the reactor cavity from 3), it is possible to supply the cooling water stably even in the event of a power loss accident or other serious accidents involving power loss accidents. Effective decay heat removal is possible.
- the intrinsically safe water-cooled reactor system for electricity production according to the present invention has inherent safety, various safety-related systems required by the existing water-cooled reactor can be removed, thereby lowering the construction cost. And economical electricity production is possible.
- the intrinsically safe water-cooled reactor system for electricity production according to the present invention is most suitable for electricity production, but if the reactor system of the present invention provides a temperature range, seawater desalination, district heating, petroleum refining, hydrogen production, and other industrial heating. Or other processes such as reaction processes.

Description

본 발명에 따른 전기생산을 위한 고유안전 수냉각형 원자로 계통은 도 1에 나타낸 바와 같이, 물(100)을 냉각재 및 감속재로 사용하며, 핵분열을 통해 열에너지를 발생시키는 수냉각형 원자로(1);
상기 수냉각형 원자로(1)에 연결되어 상기 수냉각형 원자로의 노심에서 발생된 열에너지를 격납용기(4) 내의 열교환기(15)를 통해 간접적으로 전달받아 전기를 생산하는 동력변환계통(Power Conversion System, 2);
또한, 본 발명에 따른 전기생산을 위한 고유안전 수냉각형 원자로 계통은 도 2에 나타낸 바와 같이, 물(100)을 냉각재 및 감속재로 사용하며, 핵분열을 통해 열에너지를 발생시키는 수냉각형 원자로(1);
상기 수냉각형 원자로(1)에 연결되어 상기 수냉각형 원자로의 노심에서 발생된 열에너지를 열교환기 없이 직접적으로 전달받아 전기를 생산하는 동력변환계통(Power Conversion System, 2);
