  • FIGS 1 and 2 show a jewellery assembly 10a in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • the jewellery assembly 10a comprises two elongated members 12 and 13 connected by a joining means 60.
  • the elongated members 12 and 13 in this embodiment are flexible strands of jewellery material, such as precious metals including gold and silver.
  • the elongated members 12 and 13 are thus typically strands used for jewellery necklaces and bracelets.
  • Each of the elongated members 12 and 13 is essentially looped onto itself by having both ends 15a and 15b of the respective elongated members 12 and 13 connected to the joining means 60. This positions the elongated members 12 and 13 to be in spaced apart relation from each other, being generally parallel to each other.
  • the jewellery assembly 10a further comprises pendants 20, with each pendant 20 having attachment means 22a and 22b respectively extending along generally opposing portions 21a and 21b thereof.

  • the joining piece 18 is of the same or smaller diameter as the end 15 and is typically joined to the end 15 via soldering.
  • the joining means 60 is a clasp block 22 having a number of slot formations 23 formed therein for receiving a respective connection formation 16.
  • the clasp block 22 is generally a rectangular prism block having end faces 25, side faces 26 and front and rear faces 27.
  • Each slot formation 23 comprises a cavity 32 shaped and dimensioned for receiving a key formation 17 therein, and an elongated opening 33 which extends in the same direction as the cavity 32.
  • Each cavity 32 extends from an end face 25 into the block 22, with its associated elongated opening 33 also extending from an end face 23 and along one of the side faces 26.
  • the clasp block 22 comprises retaining means 40 for retaining the respective connection formation 16 within each slot formation 23.
  • the retaining means 40 comprises a retaining member 42 which is biased by a spring means 43 to a first position for retaining the respective connection formation 16.
  • the retaining member 42 comprises an angled edge 44 and a retaining edge 45.
  • the angled edge 44 is engaged by the joining piece 18 during insertion of the key formation 17 into the cavity 32 which moves the retaining member 42 sidewardly, to allow the joining piece 18 to pass the retaining member 42.
  • the joining piece 18 is then disposed between the closed end 34 of the elongated opening 33 and the retaining edge 45 when the retaining member 42 returns to its biased first position to lock the connection formation 16 within the slot formation 23.
  • connection formation 16 Removal of each connection formation 16 from its slot formation 23 involves moving the retaining member 42 to allow the joining piece 18 to be moved past the retaining edge 45 and moving the key formation 17 out of the cavity 32.
  • the clasp block 22 in this embodiment comprises two spaced slot formations 23 on each of the side faces 26 thereof.
  • the pendants 20 can be in any desired shape or form and can be a charm or symbol, or can be adapted for holding an item such as a photograph.
  • Figure 4 shows some examples of the pendant shapes such as a letter 101 , a symbol shape 102, a photo carrier 103, a blank tile suitable for a personalised engraving 104, a tile with clips for pictures 105, a tile with clips for significant symbols 106, and a tile with clips for holding tribal markings or other symbols 107.
  • Figure 5 also shows examples of pendants having picture holding means 110 or a personal item hooks 11 1 as desired by the user.
  • Figures 6 and 7 show further examples of pendant tile shapes which the user can interchange in the jewellery assembly as desired.
  • Figure 7 (d) shows pendants with precious and/or semi-precious stones.
  • Gem stones are used to provide colour, decoration and for depicting certain events .i.e. birthstones to recognise ones birth month or birth months of family members.
  • Gem stones come both in precious i.e. diamonds sapphires rubies emeralds, and semi-precious including amethyst, topaz, garnet turquoise and lapis. Synthetic substitutes of such stones can also be used allowing for use at different price points to cater for marketing the bracelet to various' socio economic people.
  • the stones can be used individually or in combination decorating the links to the user's desire.
  • Figure 7(e) shows a pendant 20m formed as a locket which comprises a body 61 and a pivotable door 62 with a hinge 63 which together define an internal cavity 65.
  • the door is iockable/openable via lock 64 for a user to access the cavity 65.
  • the user can thus place a desired secret item in the cavity 65.
  • Figure 7(f) shows a joining means 60m similarly farmed as a locket having an internal cavity 65 accessible via a lockable door 62, similar to that of the pendant 20m.
  • each pendant 20 comprises at least one loop formation 50 extending along each of the opposing portions 21 of the pendant 20.
  • Each loop formation 50 is shaped for receiving a respective one of the elongated members 12 or 13 therethrough in use, and in the embodiment comprises a generally tubular formation 50.
  • Each loop formation 50 comprises spaced portions 52 and 52 which define an opening 54 therebetween adapted to allow the key formation 17 to be inserted therethrough, when the key formation 17 is aligned with the opening 54.
  • the opening 54 has a width slightly larger than the width 19b of the key formation 17.
  • the key formation 17 can only pass through the opening 54 when aligned therewith and as it generally requires human effort to provide such alignment, the key formation 17 essentially retains the pendant 20 to the elongated members 12 and 13.
  • Each attachment means 22a and 22b on each side 21 a and 21b of each pendant 20 can comprise one, two, three or more spaced loop formations 50, depending on the shape and width of the pendant 20.
  • FIG. 3 shows a jewellery assembly 10b according to a modified embodiment.
  • the assembly 10b comprises three spaced elongated members 12, 13 and 14.
  • the elongated members 12, 13 and 14 are also looped by having both their ends 15 connected to a modified joining means 60b which positions the elongated members 12, 13 and 14 in spaced apart relation from each other, being generally parallel to each other.
  • the modified clasp block 22 in this embodiment comprises at least three spaced slot formations 23 at each of opposing sides thereof, with the middle slot formation 23 being accessible from a side face 26 .
  • Pendants 20 can then be positioned between the respective members 12 and 13, or the members 13 and 14.
  • FIG. 14 shows a jewellery assembly 10c according to a modified embodiment of the present invention.
  • the assembly 10c comprises a strand 100 which can be a necklace strand.
  • the elongated member is 11 , 12, 13 and 14 in this embodiment includes a first end 15a having an aperture through which the strand 100 extends through.
  • the middle members 13 and 14 co-extend with each other and their second ends 15b are connected via a clasp block 22.
  • the side members 11 and 12 are about half the length of the middle members 13 and 14 and their ends 15b are connected to mid-portions of the respective side members 13 and 14 via modified clasp blocks 22b.
  • the modified clasp blocks 22b in this embodiment can grip the mid-portions of the side members 13 and 14.
  • the elongated members 11 to 14 in this embodiment thus provide a pendant assembly to which individual pendants 20 can be added as desired.
  • the present invention thus provides a jewellery assembly which is highly customisable by the user.
  • the user can configure the jewellery assembly and can combine pendants as desired.
  • the elongated members can be embodied in other forms, such as leather stands, stainless steel strands and plastics strand material.
  • the elongated members in other forms can fully or at least partly rigid or semi-rigid.
  • the loop formation in another embodiment can be a complete loop with no spaced portions.
  • the loop formation in another embodiment can also comprise a simple wire loop.
  • the connection means can also be embodied in other forms.
  • the clasp block for example can include loops, and the ends of the elongated members can include hooks.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un bracelet doté de deux ou trois rails de chaînes, sur lesquels des breloques attachées, interchangeables et séparées, sont glissées et maintenues en place. Le fermoir est sûr, il présente un support spécialement conçu, qui est amovible, ce qui permet de fixer ou de retirer les breloques attachées de la manière souhaitée. Les rails sont souples et peuvent être fabriqués en métaux ou en matériaux synthétiques. Les attaches sont dotées de glissières, qui coulissent sur les rails et peuvent être fabriquées en métaux et en matériaux naturels ou synthétiques. Les attaches sont conçues en diverses formes et tailles, pour pouvoir être décorées dans une large gamme de styles et conceptions différents. La conception peut aussi être incluse dans un collier.
