Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Katalysator zur Herstellung von Carbonsäuren und/oder Carbonsäureanhydriden, der mehrere hintereinander angeordnete Katalysatorlagen aufweist, zu dessen Herstellung ein Vanadiumantimonat mit einem maximalen Gehalt an kristallinem Valentinit von 5 Gew.-% eingesetzt wurde. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Gasphasenoxidation, bei dem man einen Gasstrom, der mindestens einen Kohlenwasserstoff und molekularen Sauerstoff umfasst, durch einen Katalysator leitet, der mehrere hintereinander angeordnete Katalysatorlagen aufweist und zu dessen Herstellung ein Vanadiumantimonat mit einem maximalen Gehalt an kristallinem Valentinit von 5 Gew.-% eingesetzt wurde.
