Abstract
The tattoo machine with rotary movement of the transmission system with double bearing is an innovative electrical manual device, used by tattoo artist to create tattoos by inkjecting ink into the skin. It was invented to meet the increasingly demanding professional tattoo artists. The features that make this innovative machine compared to the other rotary on the market are: the accuracy and homogeneity of the needle movement thanks to the particular system of transmission of movement with double bearing, an innovative concept of motion transmission constructed entirely of titanium, consisting of a lever articulated with a double bearing, integrated with a special rod rubberized star, which makes it less effective and safer the motion of the needle, by attenuating the noise and reducing the unpleasant effects of vibration, the absence of energy dissipation thanks to the eccentric truncated-cone which limits the inertia to the area next to the axis of rotation.
Description
Double bearing rotary tattoo machine.
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates generally to a tattoo machine. BACKGROUNG ART
Currently on the market are mainly two types of machines for tattoos: the traditional electromagnetic machine and the rotary machine. In both types the tattoo takes place through the penetration in the dermis (under the skin) of one or more vibrating needles at speeds of the order of 100 penetrations per second. To move the needle, the first type of machine employs an armature bar vibrating over electromagnetic coils, the second type directly exploits an electric motor. The rotary motion of the electric motor is then transformed into linear reciprocating motion of the needle. Usually this transformation is carried out directly by fixing the needle to an eccentric keyed to the shaft of the electric motor. This implies a rigid movement and non-linear needle, with footprint irregular, excessive noise and vibration, resulting in discomfort and danger of the operation. The tattoo machine with transmission system with double bearing movement was created to overcome these problems. DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
The central mechanism of this rotary tattoo machine consists of:
- An eccentric shape of a truncated cone 24, keyed to the motor shaft of the electric motor 26 and fixed by a grain 25;
- A connecting rod 12 with two bearings 11 and 13, which connects the eccentric 24 to the ring 6;
- A ring 6 keyed to the vibrating rod 5 through a rubber star 7 and a screw 8; the ring 6 is connected to the upper bearing with a pin (fig. 6b);
- A vibrating rod 5 connected to the body 1 via a flexible metal plate 4.
This transmission system makes it possible to convert the rotary motion into a perfect linear motion (fig. 3), avoiding unnecessary energy losses. In particular, the truncated-cone shape of the eccentric 24 focuses the inertia along the axis of rotation; the two bearings 11 and 13 create a fluid movement of the connecting rod 12 and then the final one of the needle 9. The linearity of the motion of the needle is ensured by the slat 4 (fig. 6f), which is connected to the vibrating rod 5 (fig. 6e) with the two plugs 2 and the four screws 3: in this way the bar 5 is constrained to move along the vertical (fig. 3). Furthermore, the reed 4, fixed by the two rawplug 2 (fig. 6g) and located in an intermediate position compared to the vibrating rod 5, contributes to the reduction of vibrations. The particular shape of the rubber 7 (fig. 6a) makes soft the needlebar movement, reducing the risks related to an overly vigorous motion of the needle 9. It is interesting to note that the properties of the ring 6 in terms of hardness clearly influence the fluidity of the motion of the needle 9, so using rubbers of different material (rubber, PVC, ...) it is possible to obtain the most varied performance. Powering the electric motor with a voltage adjustable we can increase or decrease the speed of the reciprocating motion of the needle 9. The needles on the market are equipped with an eyelet which allows the fixing of the same on the bar 5, following the insertion of the grommet to the bar 10. Once inserted the tube 21, the grip 22 and the tip 23, having tightened the tube 21 in the grip 20 with a key 19, you can tighten the needle by turning the screw 15, which goes to record the lever 17, which is fixed, free to rotate, the guide 14. To make sure that the guide 14 remains always in contact with the needle we have inserted the torsion spring 18.
