Definitions
- the present invention relates to a tear extraction apparatus, and more particularly, to a tear extraction apparatus that can effectively collect tears used for medical examination.
- Tears and fluids in the tears can be used not only as a means of identifying diseases related to the eyes but also for the analysis of biomarkers of diseases.
- tears always wet the cornea and conjunctiva to wash away foreign material, supply glucose and oxygen to the corneal epithelium, collect waste products, and prevent infection. Tears are formed in the lacrimal glands soaking eyes and passing through the tear canal to the nose through the tear bag.
- the daily secretion of tears is 1 ⁇ 1.2ml and is not secreted during sleep. Tears are slightly alkaline and have an osmotic pressure like plasma. The lacrimal glands are tripled and dominated by nerves, but no detailed mechanisms have been identified. For example, the reason why a lot of tears come out when sad is not known.
- tears have the main function of protecting the eyes, but analyzing the tears and fluids in the tears can be used for analyzing biomarkers for diseases related to the eyes.
- tears In order to analyze tears and body fluids in the tears, tears must be collected effectively, but since tears flow out along the skin, it is not easy to collect them. In addition, in order to collect tears, tears must be shed radically, but it is difficult to artificially make tears. Even if you open your eyes for a long time, the tears produced are very small and are not suitable for analysis. There is also a way to shed sadness and tears, but this is not a good way because it is not only individual but also not easy to cause emotional changes.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a tear extraction apparatus that can artificially induce the generation of tears and effectively collect the tears produced.
- a tear extracting device for achieving the above object is a stimulator for promoting tear generation; A collecting unit for collecting the generated tears; A storage unit for storing the tears collected by the collection unit; And a mask unit for fixing the components to closely contact the face to the user.
- the stimulator may be configured as an ultrasonic stimulator.
- the apparatus may further include a transducer configured to receive ultrasonic waves reflected from the ultrasonic stimulator.
- the transducer may extract image information about the shape of the lacrimal gland based on the received ultrasound.
- the apparatus may further include a transmission unit for transmitting the image information to the outside.
- the transmitter may transmit the image information to the outside using wireless or wired communication.
- the magnetic pole portion may be configured as a cold air injector for injecting cold air.
- the cold air injector may inject cold air of 5 ⁇ 15 °C to the eye of the user.
- the stimulation unit may be configured as a low frequency stimulator.
- the low frequency stimulator may generate low frequency using alternating current or intermittent flat current of 10,000 Hz or less.
- the collection unit which is composed of a flow path device may be fixed to the mask so that one end is located at the tear point of the user.
- the other end of the collection unit may be connected to the storage unit to move the tears generated at the tear point of the user to the storage unit.
- the storage unit the filtration membrane for removing the waste of tears moved through the collection unit; And a reservoir for storing the tears passing through the filtration membrane.
- the tear extraction device can artificially induce the generation of tears, can effectively collect the generated tears to help analyze the tears.

- FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a general mechanism in which tears are generated and flow. Tears are formed in the lacrimal glands (1) to wet the eyes, and pass through the tear canal (4) through the tear canal (4) through the upper and lower tear points (2,3) to the nose (6).
- tears can not only protect the eyes but also identify various diseases through the components contained in the tears. It is an indicator of various diseases, such as retinopathy caused by diabetes as well as dryness according to the amount of tears.
- the tear extracting apparatus includes a mask unit 100, a low frequency stimulator 110, a collector 140, and a storage 150.
- the mask unit 100 has a function of fixing the low frequency stimulator 110, the collector 140, and the storage 150.
- the low frequency stimulator 110, the collecting unit 140, and the storage unit 150 to which the storage unit 150 is fixed are manufactured to be in close contact with the user's face.
- Figure 2 as a method of stimulating the tear gland (1), it includes a low-frequency stimulator 110 for stimulating the nerve.
- a constant low-frequency electrical stimulation is applied to the nerves of the tear gland (1), tears are produced in the tear glands (1), and the resulting tears move to the tear point (2) after wetting the eyes.
- Tears moved to the tear point 2 are collected through the collecting unit 140.
- the structure and function of the collection unit 140 will be described in detail below.
- Tears collected through the collecting unit 140 are stored in the storage unit 150 installed at the bottom of the collecting unit 140, the storage unit 150 is separated and used to move to the equipment for analysis. Specific configuration of the storage unit 150 will also be described in detail below.
- alternating current or intermittent flat current below 10,000 Hz is used.
- the current flow refers to a direct current in which a current flowing through a circuit always has a constant direction and magnitude, and is mainly used for electrotherapy for treating nerve and vascular disorders.
- This flat current has an anode and a cathode, and in the present invention, cathode stimulation is used to stimulate nerves of the lacrimal glands 1.
- the transducer 125 further includes a transducer 125 for receiving a signal from which ultrasonic waves generated by the ultrasonic stimulator 120 are reflected. Stimulation of the tear gland (1) through the generation of ultrasonic waves, the sound wave conveyed from the tear gland (1) is received by the transducer 125, to obtain image information about the shape of the tear gland (1), through which the tear gland (1 You can check the status of).
