Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé consistant à imprimer un code lisible par une machine permettant d'étiqueter une substance médicinale. Le procédé consiste à encoder au moins une identification de la substance médicinale dans un format lisible par une machine, et à sélectionner un modèle établissant une disposition appropriée d'une étiquette sur laquelle l'identification doit être appliquée dans le format lisible par une machine. L'étiquette doit être appliquée à un récipient permettant d'entreposer la substance médicinale devant être administrée à un patient. Le contenu de l'étiquette incluant l'identification dans le format lisible par une machine est agencé pour être appliqué à l'étiquette dans la disposition appropriée selon le modèle, et le contenu de l'étiquette est produit dans la disposition appropriée pour être imprimé sur l'étiquette.
