Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un système et à un procédé adaptés pour diffuser et pour afficher des « parenthèses » visuelles (SwitchBanners (SB)) sur un écran TV au moment de la commutation entre des chaînes DVB, au moment de l'activation ou de la désactivation d'un récepteur DVB et/ou au moment de l'entrée ou de la sortie du menu de commande principal d'un récepteur DVB. La ou les SB peuvent être un ou plusieurs objets quelconques statiques, dynamiques, audio et/ou vidéo, qui sont représentés par des fichiers d'un format défini qui contiennent des données spécifiques et des métadonnées spécifiques qui fournissent la capacité de commander l'affichage d'une SB. L'invention a pour objectif de pouvoir fournir à des utilisateurs DVB (des abonnés) une ou plusieurs SB ciblées et de regrouper les SB dans n'importe quelles catégories disponibles (SB personnalisées). De cette manière, les utilisateurs peuvent recevoir les SB personnalisées en fonction du groupe cible qui leur est associé. L'invention est représentée par une combinaison d'applications logicielles et par un procédé pour leur interaction. L'invention comprend deux composants principaux de base : le côté de transmission et le côté de réception. Le côté de transmission est représenté par le matériel et par un logiciel spécifique qui est conçu pour la formation, la configuration et la diffusion de la ou des SB au côté de réception, au moyen du flux de transport DVB. Le côté de réception est représenté par l'intergiciel qui est installé dans des récepteurs DVB et qui permet de recevoir des SB en provenance du flux de transport DVB, et d'afficher ces SB sur l'écran TV de l'utilisateur à certains moments (comme, par exemple, quand des utilisateurs passent d'une chaîne DVB à une autre, quand ils entrent dans le menu de commande principal du récepteur DVB ou qu'ils sortent de ce menu, ou bien encore quand ils activent ou désactivent le récepteur DVB).
