Definitions

  • One embodiment of the system involves providing one or more goods that are physically present but secured against removal through some locking or restraint mechanism. If a consumer desires a locked item, the consumer effects payment via remote means, such as via use of the Internet and/or via a smartphone. Upon confirmation of payment, the system responds with a means for the consumer to remove the lock from the purchased item and to take immediate possession. In some cases, this may be via the provision of a combination or code that is then used physically by the user to unlock the merchandise.

If the QR code that was scanned by the user was created through the website version of the aforementioned system, then the settings for the reminders will all be generated from the QR code and the user can only edit the reminder once said reminder has been created.

Abstract

Selon un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un système qui consiste à fournir un ou plusieurs produits qui sont physiquement présents mais protégés contre leur enlèvement par un quelconque mécanisme de verrouillage ou de retenue. Si un consommateur souhaite un article verrouillé, le consommateur effectue le paiement par des moyens distants, par exemple en utilisant internet et/ou un smartphone. A confirmation du paiement, le système répond en adressant au consommateur un moyen de déverrouiller l'article acheté et d'en prendre immédiatement possession. Dans certains cas, ceci peut consister à fournir une combinaison ou un code qui est ensuite utilisé physiquement par l'utilisateur pour déverrouiller la marchandise.
