Abstract
Disclosed is a method for shielding, blocking or guiding sand storm, quicksand, accumulated snow, mountain torrents, detritus streams, and falling soil and broken rocks due to landslide by using arch-bridge arch type protective covers comprises: constructing the arch-bridge arch type protective covers with the reinforced concrete structures in railroad sections and road sections where disasters and dangerous cases frequently occur; determining strength, a span and a bridge floor gradient according to types and properties of disaster prevention; for resisting sand storm, in which sands and sandy soil are piled up on the outer sides of arches of the protective covers, the gradient being smaller than 30%; for resisting quicksand and accumulated snow, constructing the arches of the protective covers; for resisting mountain torrents, detritus stream, and falling soil and broken rocks due to landslide, constructing arch bridges, so that the gradient of the arch-top upper slope bridge floors being larger than 10%, and the gradient of the arch-top lower slope bridge floors being larger than 45%; constructing embankments on each arch-bridge bridge floor extending to two sides along the disasters; embedding the ends of the arch-bridge arches of the protective covers into the stratum for a certain depth, so as to reinforce the whole; and reserving spaces for the arch-bridge arches and the bridge floors to fill the spaces with the sandy soil and broken stones, so as to reduce damage of bridge floor shake to the arches.
