Description
REMOTE SURVEILLANCE AND SIGNALING SYSTEM OF THE HUMAN BODY PARAMETERS
This invention relates to a system that monitors body parameters, comparing them with the normal ones and remotely sends a warning signal, so that the patient or his tutors, or the special services can take action. Obviously, the domain in which this invention can be applied is that of health, such as clinics, hospitals, emergency services, rescue, SMURD, social establishments etc.
Worldwide, many other systems that monitor different parameters of human body are known, especially hospitals or other health institutions.
Also, other "home systems" are known, systems being in the reach of the patient, mostly outside the health institutions, systems that monitor different parameters of human body, especially blood pressure, the recorded value being revealed to the patient either by a traditional display or by a digital one. The disadvantage of this system is that patients should know the normal range of blood pressure values, to determine whether the recorded value is within the normal range or not.
We know various tactical systems of biological signals, which use radio waves and telephone lines. Disadvantages of these solutions are generated by their low performance, their complexity, allowing identification of the subject and the occurrence of an emergency situation, this information being sent to a third person rather to the one in question.
For example, it is known a patent document no. RO 122960 with the title "Monitoring, tactical warning system related to vital physiological parameters of persons exposed to risk factors, because their work is carried out under extreme conditions", in depth or height, in narrow spaces, extreme temperatures, thin or flawed atmosphere, etc. The disadvantage of this solution is that it is a complex system that requires a multitude of devices a monitoring equipment, and some portable interfaces, including a tactical technique, all occupying a relatively large space and are operated by someone other than those monitored. Also, another disadvantage is that this system addresses only to a certain category of people, not to everyone.
It is also known a patent document no. RO 112 575, entitled "System for tactical and monitoring biological signals" whose major disadvantage is that, although it can monitor a large
number of subjects, it is only intended for consulting rooms, which are served by staff who know the human biological parameters.
Another document in the state of art is no. DE 10029065, entitled "Body function detector for monitoring pulse, blood pressure, etc.. transmits measure values for display and storage on everyday communications terminal", which refers to a detector of vital body functions in order to monitor pulse, blood pressure, etc.. and transmission of measured values for display and storage on a daily communication terminal comprising a sensory way, communications equipment and an external GPS system. The disadvantages of this solution are: because of how it is designed, the system works continuously, transmits values continuously, and thus consumes much energy, thus periodic maintenance of the system is required, also causing rapid wear of the component equipment.
The system, according to the invention, removes the presented disadvantages, by the fact that it consists of only two devices, a sensory module and an intelligent communication device that has a GPS embedded inside.
The system, according to the invention, has the following advantages:
- due to the microcontroller 11, communications between the two modules 8 and 1 are minimal, which leads to significant energy savings, and therefore increases the lifetime of the equipment.
- due to the existence of sensory module microcontroller 11, a real comparison of the measured values with the expected normal values is possible, and their transmission to the communication device 1 will be made only if there is a significant variation in values, thus achieving significant energy savings, especially because the wireless communication interfaces 2 and 12 are large consumers;
- use of only two distinct modules, by integrating GPS 5 in the communications equipment 1, this reducing system complexity and also reducing the time and labor allocated to maintenance, thus increasing life duration of the system.
It is shown further, a practical example of how the system works according to the claimed invention in connection with picture 1.
The remote surveillance and signalmenmt system of the human body parameters, according to the invention, comprises a sensory module 8 and a communication device 1. The sensory module 8 is composed of a touch sensor 9 for pulse, temperature, etc., an amplifier 10, a microcontroller 11 and a communication interface 12, either wired or wireless.
' The communication device 1 includes a communication interface 2, similar to the interface 12, an antenna 3, a telephone interface 4, a processor 6, a display 7, a GPS 5, an application 13, a map 14 and a special software module 15.
Sensor 9 for pulse and temperature etc., from sensory module 8, sends the signal taken from the subject to over the amplifier 10, which in turn sends the signal to the microcontroller 11 This allows the information to be processed, after which it decides if there is significant variation from the permissible values that deserve to be transmitted via the communication interface 12, wired or wireless, this information being afterwards received by the communication device 1. Data is then transmitted to the processor 6 which, on the basis of complete algorithms, can decide if the values reported by sensor 9 are within normal limits. If they are not, then a message is displayed on screen 7. Also, information along with geospatial coordinates collected by GPS 5 may be transmitted by voice or written message (eg sms, mms) or by internet (like email or connecting to a server through a server client).
The communication device 1 allows setting up phone numbers for voice or written messages, email addresses as well as login server in the client-server applications. The application 13 can display the location of the monitored person on the map 14, and with the help of special software module 15, displays the shortest routes to the customer.
