Abstract

La présente invention a pour but de proposer un mécanisme de numéro d'identification personnel (PIN) comprenant deux PIN, à savoir un PIN normal pour des transactions normales et un PIN d'urgence ou d'alarme pour des transactions qui sont traitées apparemment en tant que transaction normale, mais dans lesquelles au moins une mesure d'urgence, de préférence secrète, est déclenchée. De manière plus spécifique, l'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un PIN, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à : extraire le PIN entré par un utilisateur d'une unité de terminal pour autoriser une transaction; vérifier si le PIN entré par l'utilisateur est égal à un premier PIN normal ou à un second PIN d'urgence ou d'alarme; dans le cas où le PIN entré par l'utilisateur est égal au premier PIN normal, exécuter la transaction; dans le cas où le PIN entré par l'utilisateur est égal au second PIN d'urgence ou d'alarme, déclencher une mesure d'urgence appropriée. En outre, l'invention concerne une unité de terminal, une unité de transaction et une unité de serveur dorsal configurée pour fonctionner selon ce procédé.
