Abstract
A system and associated method for controlling production in a multilateral well having a primary wellbore and multiple lateral bores, the system comprising a first wireless transceiver, located in a first lateral bore, connected to at least one measurement device located in the first lateral bore; a second wireless transceiver, located in a second lateral bore, connected to at least one measurement device located in the second lateral bore; a third wireless transceiver located on a tool which is moveable in the primary wellbore and operable to collect data from the measurement devices via the first and second wireless transceivers; a central control unit at a surface of the well for analysing the collected data and providing commands for the control of production.
