Abstract

The present invention relates to a hearth roll configured such that a resilient means for pressing a flange against a body portion of the hearth roll is not exposed to the outside. The hearth roll according to the present invention comprises: a roll body installed about a rotating shaft, at the middle thereof; a side flange and an opposite side flange pressed against both sides of the roll body, respectively, and supporting the roll body; and a side rotating-shaft portion and an opposite side-rotating shaft portion projecting outward from the side flange and the opposite side flange, respectively, about the rotating shaft at the middle thereof. Said side rotating-shaft portion includes: a rotating-shaft portion passing through the side flange and installed such that the side flange can move in the direction of the rotating shaft; a hollow portion installed from the inside of the side rotating-shaft portion toward the rotating shaft; a connecting hole passing from the hollow portion through the side rotating-shaft portion and installed so as to have a predetermined length in the direction of the rotating shaft; connecting means passing through the connecting hole, extending into the hollow portion, and coupled to the side flange; a slider installed so as to slide in the hollow portion in the direction of the rotating shaft in order to push out the connecting means in the opposite direction; fixing means fixed to the rotating-shaft portion; and a resilient means, both sides of which are supported by the slider and the fixing means, and which provides supplementary resilient pushing force in the direction opposite the slider.
