Abstract

Brandmelder sind lokal installierte Einheiten, welche beispielsweise an einer Decke oder an einer Wand montiert werden und dazu dienen, einen Brand in deren Umgebung zu detektieren. Im Rahmen der Erfindung wird ein Brandmelder 2 für ein Brandmeldesystem 1 zur Überwachung eines Überwachungsbereichs 3 vorgeschlagen, mit einer Schnittstelle 12 zur Kommunikation mit dem Brandmeldesystem 1, mit einer Sensoreinrichtung 7 zur ortsaufgelösten Aufnahme des Überwachungsbereichs 3 in einem IR-Wellenlängenbereich und zur Ausgabe von Sensorsignalen, mit einer Auswerteeinrichtung 9 zur Ermittlung eines Brandzustands durch Auswertung der Sensorsignale der Sensoreinrichtung 7, wobei der Brandzustand über die Schnittstelle 12 an das Brandmeldesystem 1 übertragen wird, wobei die Sensoreinrichtung 7 ein Sensorfeld umfasst, welche als Sensorsignale ein Messwertfeld ausgibt.
