Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for simulating hairstyles, and a recording medium. An embodiment relates to a method for simulating hairstyles in a computer system. The method for simulating hairstyles in a computer system according to an embodiment of the present invention to solve the above problems includes: determining the locations of a plurality of head points acting as reference locations when cutting hair, on bare head images of customers; obtaining the length of hair and angles that hair and head surface make when cutting hair, with reference to the determined plurality of head points; and applying specific hairstyles to the bare head images of the customers according to the obtained length of hair and the obtained angles, and displaying the applied results. According to the present invention, since hairstyles suitable for the head shapes of customers may be presented, customers may preview hairstyles that will be similar to after the hairstyles are actually completed, and thus the present invention may assist customers in selecting their hairstyles and increase trust between customers and hair designers by minimizing the dependence on the skill of the hair designers because it is possible to complete hairstyles on the basis of numerical data.
