Abstract

The invention relates to devices for accommodating and displaying advertising and other information, preferably to be viewed from passenger conveyors such as escalators and moving walkways, inter alia with complex curved, spiral (helical) and other trajectories. The device is in the form of at least one display with a control system, which extends along the aforementioned passenger conveyor and is designed so that at least one unit of predominantly visual information can be displayed thereon and can move therealong, wherein the rate of movement of the unit of information is commensurable with the rate of movement of the conveyor. The display control system comprises devices for controlling the display of information, which are accessible to passengers and can be provided in one embodiment with components for transmitting and receiving radio frequency signals for initiating the display of information directly opposite the location of the passenger.
