Abstract

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Abdecken einer elektrischen Verbindung von zwei Kabeln weist jedes Kabel einen elektrischen Leiter auf, der mit einem elektrisch leitenden Verbindungselement elektrisch verbunden ist. Ein Bereich, in dem das Verbindungselement angeordnet ist, ist von einer elektrisch leitenden Schicht umgeben, die elektrisch in Kontakt mit dem Verbindungselement steht. Jedes Kabel ist von einer Mantelschicht umgeben, die auf einer Isolierung des jeweiligen Kabels angeordnet ist. Dabei ist in der Mantelschicht ein Feldsteuerelement vorgesehen, das die Isolierung umgibt. Die leitende Schicht und das Feldsteuerelement überlappen in axialer Richtung der Kabel und sind elektrisch miteinander verbunden. Zwischen einem dem Verbindungselement abgewandten Randbereich der leitenden Schicht und dem Feldsteuerelement ist ein Raum in der Mantelschicht ausgebildet, der mit einem Isoliermaterial gefüllt ist.
