Description

A COOLING DEVICE WITH AN ICE MACHINE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a cooling device with a deep freezer whose shelf usage area is improved and which comprises an ice machine. KNOWN STATE OF THE ART
In some applications, cooling devices with a freezer chamber further comprise an ice machine. Ice machines, which are positioned inside the freezer, are in connection with a water supply and they produce ice by cooling the water coming from the water supply and they transfer said ice to an ice vessel thereof. Since the ice machine, comprising ice vessel, is positioned inside the cooling device chamber, in cooling devices with a deep freezer and with one door, the volume of the freezer chamber is filled with ice machine substantially. When the ice machine is placed into the freezer chamber, there become empty spaces on the edges of the ground where the freezer is placed.
In the US patent application US3514964, a cooling device is disclosed comprising an ice machine. In said patent application, ice machine is placed to the freezer chamber and the ice vessel, to which the ice machine is connected, is placed to the freezer chamber's floor under the ice machine. In this application, after the placement of the ice machine and after the placement of the ice vessel wherein the ice machine discharges, there are unused empty spaces formed on the freezer floor.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the subject matter invention is to realize a cooling device which provides the unused regions around the drawer in the freezer chamber to become usable where a drawer is positioned like positioning of an ice machine.
In order to realize the above mentioned object, the subject matter cooling device is preferably a domestic type cooling device. The cooling device comprises a storing unit with a drawer; and a heat insulated chamber wherein the storing unit is positioned. The storing unit comprises a shelf which is adjacent to a lateral wall of the drawer and wherein the items to be stored are placed. By means of this, the unused spaces near the drawer are made usable.
In a preferred application of the subject matter invention, the drawer is positioned at the center of the chamber. In this application, the drawer comprises symmetric shelves positioned at the mutual edges thereof. By means of this, in the chamber, a shelf, which has the same characteristics and the same dimensions, can be used in both of the excessive storage regions on the right and/or on the left of the drawer. In some applications, by fixing and removing a single shelf, it can be used both in cooling and/or storing by the user.
In a preferred application of the subject matter invention, the shelf is positioned in a vertical manner to the drawer and it is fixed to the chamber from the lateral wall thereof. The shelf comprises one each extension which is formed in a symmetrical manner on the front and rear parts. By means of the extensions, the shelf forms a bridge form which extends from the rear of the freezer chamber towards the front side of the freezer chamber. The extensions are formed by the symmetric bending of the shelf at both the front and the rear of the shelf. By means of this, the same shelf can be used in both sides of the drawer as a left shelf or as a right shelf.
In a preferred application of the subject matter invention, the storing unit is a freezer chamber and the drawer is an ice-making machine. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
The additional properties and advantages of the subject matter invention will be obtained from the exemplary embodiments giving reference to the accompanied figures. In Figure 1 , the frontal schematic view of an application of the subject matter cooling device is given.
In Figure 2, the detailed view of the freezer chamber in the application of the subject matter cooling device existing in Figure 1 is given. In Figure 3, the perspective view of the shelf used in the freezer chamber in the application of the subject matter cooling device existing in Figure 1 is given.

THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The subject matter cooling device comprises at least one chamber 20 wherein the products to be cooled are placed and which has at least one opening; at least one storing unit 30 of the chamber 20 which has lateral walls 32 facing the inner side; at least one drawer 40 of the storing unit 30; and at least one shelf 50 of the drawer 40.
The drawer 40 comprises lateral walls 42 facing the storing unit 30.
In Figure 1 , a refrigerator is illustrated which has a single door deep freezer compartment 30. In the refrigerator, there is the chamber 20 and there is the storing unit 30 which is positioned inside the chamber 20. The drawer 40 is positioned in the middle of the storing unit 30. On both sides of the drawer 40, shelves 50 are positioned in the regions existing between the lateral walls 32 of the storing unit 30 and the lateral walls 42 of the drawer 40. The shelf 50 is seated in a horizontal manner to the floor of the storing unit 30. When the cooling device 10 is faced from the frontal part thereof, these shelves 50, which are positioned so as to be on the right and on the left of the drawer 40, are symmetrical and they provide all of the volume in a storage unit 30 comprising drawer 40 to be used in an efficient manner by the user. In Figure 2, the storing unit 30 is illustrated where the lateral walls 32 are removed.
In Figure 3, the perspective view of the shelf 50 which is used in the storing unit 30 is given. The shelf 50 comprises a lateral wall 52 which is obtained by bending of the shelf 50 on an edge thereof, in order to provide fixation to the lateral walls 32 of the storing unit 30. The lateral wall 52 comprises assembly holes 522 for fixation and one each extension 54 which are from end to end on the front and on the rear edges. The extensions 54 are formed by elongating the short edges of the shelf 50 in an inclined manner with respect to the shelf 50. In an application, the shelf 50 is made of metal sheet. In this application, the shelf 50 comprises openings for providing cool air passage.
