本发明涉及降低功耗技术, 特别涉及一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功 耗的方法和装置。 背景技术
目前市场上存在的基于 PC ( Personal Computer, 个人电脑 )架构的软件无 线电系统主要有两个, 一个是微软亚洲研究院研制的 SORA系统(Soft Radio, 软件无线电), 另外一个是 GNU ( GNU's Not Unix, 非 Unix的 GNU )组织的 软件 GNUradio和外设 USRP ( Universal Software Radio Peripheral,软件无线电 通用外设), 这里将这两者统称 GNU。 这两种系统均可以应用在移动设备和固 定计算机上。 SORA系统目前的工作模式是仅使用 CPU参与计算, 并锁定系 统的两个 CPU核心, 所有的软件无线电处理均由该两个核心完成, 为了保证 两个核心的高响应速度, 不论系统负荷和无线通信需求有多 氐, 两个核心一 直以最高速度运行, 这就会导致系统的工作负荷比较高, 设备的电池寿命会比 较低。 而 GNU系统目前仅使用 CPU参与计算, 则且并不控制 CPU的工作状 态, 因此, 一旦系统负荷比较低且无线业务传输速率需求也较低时, 设备的耗 电将会很明显, 因此, 这将导致设备电池寿命很低, 严重影响用户体验和续航 时间。
针对这个问题, 本发明提出了针对单独应用 CPU 的系统和使用 CPU和 GPU异构进行数字信号处理的系统的节省功耗的方法和装置,该方法可以提高 设备电池寿命, 可以大大提高用户电池的续航时间, 提高用户体验。
发明内容
本发明实施例提供一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功耗的方法和装置, 用于在系统低负荷时根据无线承载业务的特征自适应的改变 CPU和 GPU的工 作状态, 解决小带宽或低速率的无线通信时的功耗问题, 降低功率消耗, 延长 电池寿命, 提高用户体验。
本发明实施例提供的一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功耗的方法, 该方 法包括:
在系统低负荷时统计当前无线业务特征;
根据当前业务特征阈值调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态。 较佳的, 所述的系统低负荷指 CPU占用率低于阈值和 /或内存占用率低于 阈值;
较佳的, 所述当前无线业务特征包括: 当前承载的无线业务的平均速率、 占用的緩沖量、 业务的速率需求(保证比特速率), 业务的时延特征;
较佳的, 所述调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态包括: 调整 CPU的工作频 率、 调整 CPU工作的核心数、 调整 GPU的核心数、 调整 GPU的工作频率、 判断 GPU的开启和关闭;
较佳的,通过软件控制命令调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态,如内核指令 等。
本发明还提供一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功耗的装置,其特征在于, 该装置包括: 业务特征判断模块、 执行模块:
业务特征判断模块: 在系统低负荷时统计当前无线业务特征;
执行模块: 根据当前业务特征阈值调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态; 较佳的, 所述的系统低负荷指 CPU占用率低于阈值和 /或内存占用率低于 阈值;
较佳的, 所述当前无线业务特征包括: 当前承载的无线业务的平均速率、 占用的緩沖量、 业务的速率需求(保证比特速率), 业务的时延特征;
较佳的, 所述调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态包括: 调整 CPU的工作频 率、 调整 CPU工作的核心数、 调整 GPU的核心数、 调整 GPU的工作频率、 判断 GPU的开启和关闭;
较佳的,通过软件控制命令调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态,如内核指令 等。 附图说明

本发明实施例在系统低负荷时统计当前无线业务特征; 根据当前业务特征 阈值调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态; 通过此过程可以看出,本发明实施例的 方法和装置可以实现降低功耗的作用, 从而实现移动设备的电池寿命, 进而提 高用户体验的感受度, 对移动设备尤其有用;
下面结合说明书附图对本发明实施例作进一步详细描述。
如图 1所示, 本发明实施例一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功耗的方法 包括:
步骤 10: 在系统低负荷时统计当前无线业务特征;
步骤 20: 根据当前业务特征阈值调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态; 较佳的, 所述的系统低负荷指 CPU占用率低于阈值和 /或内存占用率低于 阈值;
较佳的, 所述当前无线业务特征包括: 当前承载的无线业务的平均速率、 占用的緩沖量、 业务的速率需求(保证比特速率), 业务的时延特征;
较佳的, 所述调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态包括: 调整 CPU的工作频 率、 调整 CPU工作的核心数、 调整 GPU的核心数、 调整 GPU的工作频率、 判断 GPU的开启和关闭; 较佳的,通过软件控制命令调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态,如内核指令 等。
如图 2所示,本发明实施例一种降低 PC架构软件无线电设备功耗的装置, 该装置包括业务特征判断模块和执行模块:
业务特征判断模块: 在系统低负荷时统计当前无线业务特征;
执行模块: 根据当前业务特征阈值调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态; 较佳的, 所述的系统低负荷指 CPU占用率低于阈值和 /或内存占用率低于 阈值;
较佳的, 所述当前无线业务特征包括: 当前承载的无线业务的平均速率、 占用的緩沖量、 业务的速率需求(保证比特速率), 业务的时延特征;
较佳的, 所述调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态包括: 调整 CPU的工作频 率、 调整 CPU工作的核心数、 调整 GPU的核心数、 调整 GPU的工作频率、 判断 GPU的开启和关闭;
较佳的,通过软件控制命令调整 CPU和 /或 GPU的工作状态,如内核指令 等。 从上述实施例中可以看出: 本发明实施例通过降低主要耗电器件的电源消 耗,如 CPU核心数、 降低 CPU工作频率、控制 GPU的开启和关闭、控制 GPU 的工作频率等几种方式实现降低功率消耗的目的, 从而提高电源的使用寿命, 大大提升用户感受。
显然, 以上所述仅是本发明的优选实施方式, 应当指出, 对于本技术领 域的普通技术人员来说, 在不脱离本发明原理的前提下, 还可以做出若干 改进和润饰, 这些改进和润饰也应视为本发明的保护范围。 同样, 本领域的 技术人员可以对本发明进行各种改动和变型而不脱离本发明的精神和范围。 这 样,倘若本发明的这些修改和变型属于本发明权利要求及其等同技术的范围之 内, 则本发明也同样意图包含这些改动和变型在内。
