Description
The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a drawer wherein items to be washed are placed.
In dishwashers, when wide and thin items such as oven trays and grills are desired to be washed, generally the distance between the racks is not sufficient for these items to be placed, and the heights of the racks are needed to be adjusted or the top rack is needed to be removed out of the dishwasher.
On the other hand, in dishwashers, drawers disposed at a position close to the ceiling are used in addition to the baskets wherein items to be washed are placed for effective utilization of the washing space. The drawers are generally suitable for placing long and thin items such as cutlery, providing the dead space inside the washing chamber to be utilized.
In order to solve this problem, in the state of the art International Patent Application No. WO2010133505, a dishwasher is described that comprises a hanger mounted to the ceiling and a drawer disposed at a position close to the ceiling so as to open/close by moving forwards/backwards on the rails mounted to this hanger..
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher comprising a drawer that increases the loading capacity by allowing effective utilization of the interior volume.
The dishwasher of the present invention realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the attached claims comprises at least one drawer wherein the items to be washed are placed, mounted to a movement mechanism fixed to the ceiling of the body or to the side walls, so as to move forwards/backwards.
The drawer has at least one carrier that provides thin and wide items to be hung under the drawer, parallel to the ceiling. The thin and wide item is clasped to the carrier and hidden under the drawer. Thus, the interior volume of the dishwasher is provided to be effectively used.
In an embodiment of the present invention, at least one housing is disposed on the carrier. One side of the items to be washed is inserted into the housing to be clasped to the carrier.
In an embodiment of the present invention, four carriers are disposed at four corners of the drawer. Thus, the item to be washed is provided to be supported from four sides under the drawer.
In different embodiments of the present invention the opening of the housing faces downwards or forwards. In these embodiments, the item to be washed is placed to the carrier by being pushed upwards or slid backwards depending on the direction the opening of the housing faces.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the opening of the housing is wider than its interior space. Thus, the thin parts of the item to be washed that is placed into the housing, such as grill wires, easily enter the opening of the housing and squeezed in the housing. Thus, the item to be washed is provided to be kept in the carrier.
In an embodiment of the present invention, more than one housing with different dimensions is disposed on the carriers. Thus, the part of the item to be washed that is placed into the housing is placed into the housing with dimensions suitable for its dimensions.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the carrier is rail-shaped so as to enable the item to be washed to be placed under the drawer by being slid. Thus, it becomes possible to support heavy items such as trays under the drawer.
In an embodiment of the present invention, at least one of the carriers is movably connected to the drawer. Preferably, the carrier is slid in the channels located on the drawer to adjust the distance between the carriers.
By means of the present invention, thin and wide items such as tray, grill, etc. Are provided to be positioned in the dishwasher so as to be more efficiently cleaned and to occupy less space. Thus, the volume of the dishwasher is effectively used.
The model embodiments relating to the dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention are illustrated in the attached figures, where:
