Abstract
入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に電荷供給・回生が可能な双方向コンバータ(CONV1~CONVn)が設けられ、振幅変化監視回路(10)はRF入力信号のエンベロープを検出し、コンバータ切替回路(11)は出力電圧が入力信号の振幅変化に追従するように双方向コンバータ(CONV1~CONVn)の電荷供給・回生を制御する。出力キャパシタ容量推測手段(13)は出力キャパシタ(Co)の容量をその電圧および電流から推測する。遅延時間検知回路(12)は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置(111)の遅延時間を把握し、遅延調整回路(22)で調整を行う。これにより、高周波増幅回路に対する電源電圧を高周波信号のエンベロープに追従して変化させる高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置および高周波電力増幅装置を構成する。
Description
本発明は高周波電力増幅回路用の電源装置に関し、特に高周波電力増幅回路の電力効率を高めることができる電源装置および、それを備えた高周波電力増幅装置に関するものである。
特許文献1には、高周波増幅回路の高効率化を図るために、高周波増幅回路の電源電圧を増幅前の高周波信号の振幅変化(エンベロープ)に追従させる構成が示されている。ここでの高周波信号の振幅変化の周波数は搬送波周波数(例えば携帯電話における1~2GHz)ではなく、搬送波の振幅変化の周波数(10~100MHz程度)である。音声用の増幅回路ではD級増幅回路(デジタルアンプ)があるが、高周波電力増幅回路用の電源装置においては、扱う周波数帯が高周波帯域であり、非常に高速なスイッチングが要求される。
図1は特許文献1に示されている高周波電力増幅回路50のブロック図である。この図1に示されている高周波電力増幅回路50は、エンベロープ検出回路54、供給電圧選択回路56、電源電圧調整回路58および高周波増幅回路52を備えている。エンベロープ検出回路54は高周波信号(RFIN)のエンベロープを検出し、供給電圧選択回路56は高周波信号(RFIN)のエンベロープに追従するように電圧源(V1~V4)を選択する。電源電圧調整回路58は選択された電圧の波形調整を行って高周波増幅回路52に電源電圧として供給する。これにより、高周波増幅回路52は高周波信号(RFIN)を増幅して高周波信号(RFOUT)を出力する。
ところが、特許文献1の高周波電力増幅装置においては、複数の電圧源を準備しておき、これを選択して高周波信号のエンベロープに追従させる方式であるため、複数の電圧源の切り替え時の電圧差(波形段差)を修復するための複雑な回路および非常に複雑な制御が必要になる。この波形段差の修復が不完全であると波形歪が大きくなり、通信システムにおける隣接チャンネル漏洩電力比(ACPR)が大きくなり、規定範囲外周波数に悪影響を及ぼすため、周波数帯域の割り当てが厳しい製品には適用できない、という問題が生じる。
本発明は上記の回路および制御の複雑化の問題を解決して、比較的簡素な構成で、高周波増幅回路に対する電源電圧を高周波信号のエンベロープに追従できるようにした高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置および高周波電力増幅装置を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置は、高周波信号を増幅する高周波電力増幅回路へ供給する電源電圧を前記高周波信号の振幅変化に応じて変化させる装置において、
入力電圧の入力部と前記出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた単一または複数の、電荷供給・回生が可能な双方向コンバータと、
前記高周波信号の振幅変化を検出し、前記出力電圧が前記高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、前記双方向コンバータによる電荷供給・回生を制御する振幅変化監視回路と、を備えたことを特徴とする。

本発明によれば、双方向コンバータは供給・回生が可能であるため、双方向コンバータの内部スイッチ素子のON/OFF時間を非線形制御(パルス幅制御、周波数制御、スリープ時間およびバースト時間の組み合わせ制御など)を行うことにより、ダイナミックレンジが大きくとれ、高速制御が可能となる。このことから、低周波から高周波まで範囲を問わず、高周波入力信号と出力電圧の振幅および位相を精度よく調整することが可能となり、エンベロープにも追従させることができる。
《第1の実施形態》
図2は第1の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101、高周波電力増幅装置201および高周波電力増幅回路100の関係を示す図である。

高周波電力増幅回路100は高周波信号RFinを入力し、電力増幅して高周波電力信号RFoutを出力する。高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101は入力電源電圧Vinを入力し、高周波信号RFinの振幅変化(エンベロープ)を検出し、それに追従するように出力電圧Voutを変化させる。高周波電力増幅回路100は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101の出力電圧Voutを電源電圧として動作する。
図3は前記高周波電力増幅回路100に対する電源電圧Vout、高周波電力信号RFoutおよびそのエンベロープVeとの関係を示す図である。図3(A)は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101を作用させた場合の波形、図3(B)は高周波電力増幅回路100に対する電源電圧を一定にした場合の波形である。ここでは高周波信号のエンベロープを表す都合上、電源電圧も正負対称に表している。概ね、VoutとVeとの差分が損失であるものと言える。本発明によれば、この損失が削減できる。
図4は第1の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。図4において「入力信号」は(1~2GHz)の振幅変化信号(エンベロープ信号(10~100MHz))である。振幅変化監視回路10は出力電圧が前記振幅変化信号に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。
図5は前記高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置101および、それに含まれる双方向コンバータの具体的な構成を示す図である。双方向コンバータCONV1は、整流素子(ハイサイド素子)Q11、転流素子(ローサイド素子)Q12およびチョークコイルL1を備えている。双方向コンバータCONV2は、整流素子Q21、転流素子Q22およびチョークコイルL2を備えている。同様に、双方向コンバータCONVnは、整流素子Qn1、転流素子Qn2およびチョークコイルLnを備えている。また、各双方向コンバータには整流素子および転流素子を制御するスイッチング制御回路を備えている。
振幅変化監視回路10は各双方向コンバータのスイッチング制御回路に対してエネルギー調整用の制御信号を与える。例えば、複数の双方向コンバータのうちどの双方向コンバータを駆動するかを切り替える。
図6は前記高周波信号の振幅変化RFref(エンベロープ)、およびエンベロープ追従出力電圧Voutとの関係を示す図である。各双方向コンバータの電荷供給・回生により、エンベロープ追従出力電圧Voutは入力信号RFrefのエンベロープに追従する。この例では、図5に示した高周波電力増幅回路100に対して最高65V、最低15Vの電源電圧が印加される。図6は図3で示したVoutと高周波電力信号のエンベロープ(図3中のVe参照)との差分がゼロとなる理想的な状態を示す。
各双方向コンバータの電荷供給・回生動作および振幅変化監視回路の応答遅れなどに起因して、前記エンベロープ追従出力電圧Voutは入力信号RFrefのエンベロープより遅延時間Tdだけ遅れる。この遅延時間Tdは例えば1μs以下であることが必要とされる。
《第2の実施形態》
図7は第2の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置102の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号(エンベロープ)で信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が入力信号に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。そして、双方向コンバータの出力部に出力側エネルギー蓄積素子ESCを備え、双方向コンバータの入力部に、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子ESCから回生されるエネルギーを蓄える回生エネルギー蓄積素子RESCを備えている。
図7は第2の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置102の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号(エンベロープ)で信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が入力信号に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。そして、双方向コンバータの出力部に出力側エネルギー蓄積素子ESCを備え、双方向コンバータの入力部に、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子ESCから回生されるエネルギーを蓄える回生エネルギー蓄積素子RESCを備えている。
出力側エネルギー蓄積素子ESCは例えばキャパシタCoである。また、回生エネルギー蓄積素子RESCは例えばキャパシタCiまたは蓄電池SCである。
双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給時に負荷(高周波電力増幅回路)に電源電圧が供給されると、エネルギー蓄積素子ESCにエネルギーが蓄積される。双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの出力側からエネルギーが回生されると、そのエネルギーは入力側に移動するので双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの入力電圧が上昇する。そこで、図7に示したように、回生エネルギー蓄積素子RESCを備える。これにより、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの入力電圧の上昇が抑えられ、安定した入力電圧とすることができる。
《第3の実施形態》
図8は第3の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置103の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。そして、コンバータ切替回路11は、負荷が必要とするエネルギー量を、入力信号の振幅に基づいて供給または回生する時間を切り替える。すなわち、複数の双方向コンバータのうち供給動作または回生動作させるコンバータを切り替えるとともに供給または回生する時間を切り替える。
図8は第3の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置103の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。そして、コンバータ切替回路11は、負荷が必要とするエネルギー量を、入力信号の振幅に基づいて供給または回生する時間を切り替える。すなわち、複数の双方向コンバータのうち供給動作または回生動作させるコンバータを切り替えるとともに供給または回生する時間を切り替える。
このように複数の双方向コンバータを切り替え制御することで、入力信号が高速で変化した場合でも、出力電圧の変化の追従性(応答性)を高めることができ、入力信号に応じて出力電圧を高速に追従させることができる。
《第4の実施形態》
図9は第4の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置104の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が入力信号に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。
図9は第4の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置104の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。入出力部の左右両方向の矢印はエネルギー移動方向を表している。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が入力信号に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。
複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnのそれぞれは供給・回生エネルギー量が異なる。そして、振幅変化監視回路10はこれら複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの何れかまたは組み合わせを選択することによって、供給・回生のエネルギー量を高い分解能で入力信号に追従させる。
図10は前記高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置104の双方向コンバータの具体的な構成例を示す図である。ここでは整流素子Q11,Qn1等および転流素子Q12,Qn2等をスイッチ素子の回路記号で表している。双方向コンバータの供給・回生エネルギー量は出力側エネルギー蓄積素子への供給電荷量で定まり、この電荷量は出力側エネルギー蓄積素子への電流積分であり、この電流の変化の傾きはチョークコイルL1,Ln等のインダクタンスに反比例する。したがって、チョークコイルL1,Ln等のインダクタンスが大きいと、双方向コンバータの供給・回生エネルギー量は小さくなり、チョークコイルL1,Ln等のインダクタンスが小さいと、双方向コンバータの供給・回生エネルギー量は大きくなる。
このように、チョークコイルのインダクタンス値の設定によって、双方向コンバータの供給・回生エネルギー量を変えることで、同じ供給または回生の時間であっても、1回当たりの供給・回生エネルギー量を変化させられる。また、回路を流れる電流の変化di/dtを緩慢にでき、ノイズの発生を抑制できる。さらに、チョークコイルとして寄生のインダクタンス成分を使用する場合や、基板に導体パターンで描いた空芯(コアレス)のプリント基板コイルで構成する場合には回路部品を省略できる。
《第5の実施形態》
図11は第5の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置105の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置105において、コンバータCONV1,CONV2,CONV3はそれぞれ供給コンバータ、コンバータCONV4,CONV5,CONV6はそれぞれ回生コンバータである。これらの複数のコンバータによって全体として双方向コンバータとして作用する。
図11は第5の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置105の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置105において、コンバータCONV1,CONV2,CONV3はそれぞれ供給コンバータ、コンバータCONV4,CONV5,CONV6はそれぞれ回生コンバータである。これらの複数のコンバータによって全体として双方向コンバータとして作用する。
コンバータCONV1は、整流スイッチ素子Q11、この整流素子Q11に対してON/OFF制御信号を供給するスイッチング制御回路、転流ダイオードD12およびチョークコイルL1を備えている。コンバータCONV2,CONV3についても同様の構成である。
コンバータCONV4は整流ダイオードD41、転流スイッチ素子Q42、この転流スイッチ素子Q42に対してON/OFF制御信号を供給するスイッチング制御回路、およびチョークコイルL4を備えている。コンバータCONV5,CONV6についても同様の構成である。図11には示していないが、前記スイッチング制御回路は振幅変化監視回路によって制御される。
図12は図11に示した高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置105が備えるコンバータCONV1~CONV6による電荷の供給・回生のパターンを示している。ここで、コンバータCONV1,CONV4のチョークコイルのインダクタンスLは最小、コンバータCONV2,CONV5のチョークコイルのインダクタンスLは中程度、コンバータCONV3,CONV6のチョークコイルのインダクタンスLは最大である。また、H/Sは整流素子(ハイサイド素子)のON/OFF、L/Sは転流素子(ローサイド素子)のON/OFF期間を表している。図12において各コンバータのチョークコイルのインダクタンスの違いによる供給・回生エネルギー(電荷)量の違いを縦方向に配列して表している。そして、三通りの供給・回生時間の違いを横方向に配列して表している。
このようにして合計18パターンの電荷量の供給・回生によって出力エネルギー蓄積素子(図11に示したキャパシタCo)の充放電を行い、出力電圧を変化させる。ここで示した18パターンの電荷量を示す図は、チョークコイルの印加電圧が変化しないミクロ的な図としているが、出力電圧Voutの変化に伴った正弦半波状となることから、ノイズが低減できる。また、それぞれの電荷量はチョークコイルの電流を不連続、連続、不連続と連続の組み合わせ、共振などにより、種々の形態を取り得る。
図13は、前記18パターンの電荷量の供給・回生によって出力電圧を入力信号に追従させた様子を示す図である。供給コンバータCONV1,CONV2,CONV3および回生コンバータCONV4,CONV5,CONV6について横軸はこれらのコンバータのON,OFF,SLEEPのタイミングチャートである。図12に表したように、供給コンバータにおいて「ON」は整流素子(ハイサイド素子)のON期間、「OFF」は整流素子のOFF期間である。また、回生コンバータにおいて「ON」は転流素子(ローサイド素子)のON期間、「OFF」は転流素子のOFF期間である。
振幅変化監視回路は入力信号に基づいて、各コンバータのスイッチング制御回路に対して、このタイミングチャートのとおりの切替信号を与える。各コンバータで電荷量の供給・回生によって出力エネルギー蓄積素子(キャパシタCo)の充放電が行われるので、出力電圧は図13に示すように変化する。この出力電圧は入力信号に追従していることがわかる。
複数の双方向コンバータが供給または回生するエネルギー量を変更する手段としては、特に入力信号の周波数が高い場合において、上記の例に示すようにスリープとバーストを組み合わせた離散的な制御を行うことが有利である。このことにより、スイッチング周波数の増大が抑えられ、スイッチング素子の損失が軽減される。
なお、双方向コンバータが備えたスイッチング素子(トランジスタ、ダイオード等)のオンまたはオフ制御はスリープとバーストを組み合わせた時間制御以外に時比率、周波数の制御で行うことができる。
《第6の実施形態》
図14は入力信号、高周波信号、および出力電圧の関係を示す図である。ここで、出力電圧の高周波成分は各双方向コンバータのスイッチング周波数成分であり、この各双方向コンバータの電荷供給・回生により、入力信号RFrefに追従する。

第6の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置および高周波電力増幅装置は上記遅延時間Td分の補正を行うものである。
図15は第6の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置106および高周波電力増幅装置206の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅装置206は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置106、RF信号処理回路20および高周波電力増幅回路100を備えている。
入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。これらの双方向コンバータはそれぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能なコンバータである。振幅変化監視回路10は包絡線検波&ひずみ補正回路21から出力される包絡線信号を入力し、出力電圧が高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。遅延時間検知回路12は振幅変化監視回路10により検波された包絡線信号と出力電圧信号との比較により遅延時間を検知する。
包絡線検波&ひずみ補正回路21は高周波電力増幅回路100の出力信号から分配した信号をRF入力信号に対して帰還してひずみ補正を行う。遅延調整回路22は遅延時間検知回路12で検知された遅延時間に相当する信号を入力して、ひずみ補正回路21の出力信号を遅延させて高周波電力増幅回路100へ出力する。
このように、高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置106の遅延時間分だけRF入力信号を遅延させて高周波電力増幅回路100へ出力することにより、高周波電力増幅回路100が増幅すべき信号に追従した電源電圧が印加されることになる。
《第7の実施形態》
図16は第7の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置の出力電圧振幅監視回路の原理を示す図である。以上に示した各実施形態で示した出力キャパシタCo以外にも各双方向コンバータの出力部にキャパシタンス成分を備え、高周波電力増幅回路の電源ラインにもキャパシタンス成分を備えるので、出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量は出力キャパシタCoだけでは定まらない場合がある。そこで、振幅変化監視回路10は、必要に応じて出力電圧の振幅を検出(モニタリング)して、出力電圧振幅が正常であるか否か、すなわち入力信号に比例しているか否かを把握する。第7の実施形態はこの出力電圧の振幅を検出する一つの方法である。
図16は第7の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置の出力電圧振幅監視回路の原理を示す図である。以上に示した各実施形態で示した出力キャパシタCo以外にも各双方向コンバータの出力部にキャパシタンス成分を備え、高周波電力増幅回路の電源ラインにもキャパシタンス成分を備えるので、出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量は出力キャパシタCoだけでは定まらない場合がある。そこで、振幅変化監視回路10は、必要に応じて出力電圧の振幅を検出(モニタリング)して、出力電圧振幅が正常であるか否か、すなわち入力信号に比例しているか否かを把握する。第7の実施形態はこの出力電圧の振幅を検出する一つの方法である。

《第8の実施形態》
図17は第8の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置108の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。コンバータ切替回路11は、負荷が必要とするエネルギー量を、入力信号に基づいて供給または回生する時間を切り替える。すなわち、複数の双方向コンバータのうちどのコンバータを供給動作させるか回生動作させるか、を切り替える。そして、出力エネルギー蓄積素子であるキャパシタCoの容量を推測する出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13を備えている。この出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13は、キャパシタCoの電圧および電流を入力して、キャパシタCoの容量を推測する。出力キャパシタCoの容量値Cは電圧変化量をΔVoutと電荷移動量をΔQoutで表すと、C=ΔQout/ΔVoutにより算出する。この演算実行手段は、演算機能付き集積回路(CPU、DSP、FPGA、CPLD等)で実現する。
図17は第8の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置108の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnが設けられている。振幅変化監視回路10は高周波信号の振幅変化信号である入力信号を入力し、出力電圧が高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnの電荷供給・回生を制御する。コンバータ切替回路11は、負荷が必要とするエネルギー量を、入力信号に基づいて供給または回生する時間を切り替える。すなわち、複数の双方向コンバータのうちどのコンバータを供給動作させるか回生動作させるか、を切り替える。そして、出力エネルギー蓄積素子であるキャパシタCoの容量を推測する出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13を備えている。この出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13は、キャパシタCoの電圧および電流を入力して、キャパシタCoの容量を推測する。出力キャパシタCoの容量値Cは電圧変化量をΔVoutと電荷移動量をΔQoutで表すと、C=ΔQout/ΔVoutにより算出する。この演算実行手段は、演算機能付き集積回路(CPU、DSP、FPGA、CPLD等)で実現する。
コンバータ切替回路11は振幅変化監視回路10が入力した入力信号(高周波信号のエンベロープ)と、推測によるキャパシタCoの容量とに基づいて、各双方向コンバータの供給または回生する時間を切り替える。このことにより、出力キャパシタCoの電荷移動量の制御により出力電圧を制御するが、出力キャパシタの容量値のばらつきが問題となる。しかしこの実施形態のように、出力キャパシタの容量を推測することにより、入力信号に基づいたフィードフォワード制御に加え、出力キャパシタCoの電圧、電流から推測した容量値をフィードバック制御することで、精度を高めることができる。
《第9の実施形態》
図18は第9の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置の出力キャパシタの容量を推測するためのサンプリングタイミングの例を示す図である。出力キャパシタCoの電圧と電流をデジタル量で処理する場合、出力電圧の振幅変化の周波数より高い周波数でサンプリングする場合と、低い周波数でサンプリングする場合がある。低い周波数でサンプリングする場合は、サンプリング周波数を低減し、2点間のデータから出力キャパシタCoの容量を推測する。
図18は第9の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置の出力キャパシタの容量を推測するためのサンプリングタイミングの例を示す図である。出力キャパシタCoの電圧と電流をデジタル量で処理する場合、出力電圧の振幅変化の周波数より高い周波数でサンプリングする場合と、低い周波数でサンプリングする場合がある。低い周波数でサンプリングする場合は、サンプリング周波数を低減し、2点間のデータから出力キャパシタCoの容量を推測する。
このように、サンプリング周波数が信号周波数より低くても前記ΔVoutおよびΔQoutを基に、出力キャパシタCoの容量を算出できる。そして、サンプリング周波数を信号周波数より低くすることで、出力キャパシタCoの容量を算出するのに要する単位時間あたりの演算量を低減できる。
《第10の実施形態》

図19は第10の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置110の構成を示すブロック図である。入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVn、振幅変化監視回路10、コンバータ切替回路11、出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13を備えている。
振幅変化監視回路10は、アナログまたはデジタルの入力信号を入力でき、アナログ信号をデジタル化するADコンバータを備えている。入力信号がデジタルの場合はパラレルまたはシリアルの信号であって、パラレル信号をシリアル信号に変換するシリアライザ、またはシリアル信号をパラレル信号に変換するデシリアライザを備えている。パラレル信号の場合はLVDSなど、シリアル信号の場合はI2C、SPIの他、高速インタフェースが挙げられる。これらのインタフェースを用いることで様々なデータ処理に適用可能な信号を取り扱うことができる。
なお、各データは、高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置110内部で発生する遅延時間を予め補正し、入力信号と出力電圧の振幅位相が合っていることが好ましい。
《第11の実施形態》
図20は第11の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111および高周波電力増幅装置211の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅装置211は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111、RF信号処理回路20および高周波電力増幅回路100を備えている。高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111には、入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVn、振幅変化監視回路10、コンバータ切替回路11、出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13、遅延時間検知回路12を備えている。
図20は第11の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111および高周波電力増幅装置211の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅装置211は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111、RF信号処理回路20および高周波電力増幅回路100を備えている。高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置111には、入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVn、振幅変化監視回路10、コンバータ切替回路11、出力キャパシタ容量推測手段13、遅延時間検知回路12を備えている。
その他の構成は第6の実施形態および第8の実施形態で示した高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置と同様である。このように遅延時間分の補正を行うとともに、入力信号に基づいたフィードフォワード制御に加え、出力キャパシタCoの電圧、電流から推測した容量値をフィードバック制御することで、出力電圧の追従精度をより高くすることができる。
《第12の実施形態》

この第12の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置112はデジタル制御を行う場合、制御部には演算用マイクロプロセッサ(CPU、DSP、FPGA、CPLD等)MPUを備え、その内部にデジタルON/OFF制御回路で構成されたコンバータ切替回路(コンバータ切替制御機能)11、異常発生時にコンバータ切替回路11の機能を強制的に停止する強制停止回路(キルスイッチ)16、演算用マイクロプロセッサMPUの異常時にアラーム出力を行うウォッチドッグタイマー回路15およびデバイス制御用インタフェース部14を備えている。その他の構成はこれまでに示した各実施形態と同様である。
《第13の実施形態》
図22は第13の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置113の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置113は入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVn、振幅変化監視回路10を備え、さらに、入力電圧の入力部に電圧安定化回路300を備えている。
図22は第13の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置113の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置113は入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVn、振幅変化監視回路10を備え、さらに、入力電圧の入力部に電圧安定化回路300を備えている。
電圧安定化回路300は非絶縁型または絶縁型のDC-DCコンバータであり、双方向コンバータCONV1,CONV2・・・CONVnへの入力電圧を最適な電圧に安定化させる。この電圧安定化回路300を絶縁型のDC-DCコンバータで構成すれば、部品故障時に電圧安定化回路300→双方向コンバータ→高周波増幅回路の経路での過電流や過電圧を防止できる。
図23は前記電圧安定化回路300の具体的な回路図である。トランスT1の一次側にスイッチング素子Q11,Q12,Q13,Q14が接続されていて、このトランスT1の二次側にスイッチング素子Q21,Q22が接続されている。トランスT1の二次巻線のセンタータップにチョークコイルLおよびキャパシタCが接続されている。スイッチングコントローラCNTは外部からのリモート信号RCを入力して、スイッチング素子Q11,Q12,Q13,Q14のゲートに制御信号を出力する。またパルストランスT2を介して駆動回路DRVへスイッチング素子Q21,Q22に対する制御信号を出力する。
このようにして、一次側がフルブリッジ方式、二次側がセンタータップ方式の絶縁型DC-DCコンバータとして作用する。例えば-48V系の電圧を入力し、安定化された+70Vを出力する。
前記電圧安定化回路300としては、その他に各種の非絶縁チョッパコンバータ、絶縁型フォワードコンバータ、絶縁型フライバックコンバータ、ハーフブリッジ型コンバータ、LLC共振コンバータ等を用いてもよい。
《第14の実施形態》
図24は第14の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置114の構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置114は入力電圧の入力部と出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた、それぞれ電荷供給・回生が可能な複数の双方向コンバータCONV1・・・CONVnおよび振幅変化監視回路10を備えている。

各双方向コンバータは絶縁型フォワードコンバータで構成されている。例えば双方向コンバータCONV1はトランスT1、スイッチング素子Q11,Q12,Q13、チョークコイルL1を備えている。スイッチング素子Q11はトランスT1の一次巻線に流れる電流をスイッチングし、スイッチング素子Q13はトランスT1の二次巻線に誘起される電圧を整流し、スイッチング素子Q12はチョークコイルL1に流れる電流を転流する。他の双方向コンバータについても同様である。
このように、供給または回生用コンバータを絶縁型コンバータで構成すれば、この絶縁型コンバータでエネルギーの供給・回生だけでなく、電圧変換も行うことができるので、所定の出力電圧を得るためのDC-DCコンバータ(プリレギュレータ)は不要となる。そのため、全体の電圧変換回数を減らすことで、効率の低下を防止できる。例えば、プリレギュレータの効率を90%、双方向コンバータの効率を90%とすると、2段変換の場合、全体の電力変換効率は90%×90%=81%になるが、双方向コンバータで電圧変換も行えば、電力変換効率は90%で済む。
《第15の実施形態》

まず、入力信号を微分してΔRFref値およびその正負を検出し、ΔRFref値をΔRFrefレジスタに入れる。ΔRFref値がプラスであれば、必要な+ΔQ電荷を算出し、ΔRFref値がマイナスであれば、必要な-ΔQ電荷を算出する。この±ΔQの値に応じてどのコンバータに電荷供給・回生を担当させるかを振り分ける。すなわち、+ΔQの値を「+ΔQ=大」「+ΔQ=中」「+ΔQ=小」三つの値に分けて、それぞれデューティサイクルレジスタDCR1,DCR2,DCR3に入れる。また、-ΔQについても同様に、-ΔQの値を「-ΔQ=大」「-ΔQ=中」「-ΔQ=小」三つの値に分けて、それぞれデューティサイクルレジスタDCR4,DCR5,DCR6に入れる。
デジタルPWM回路DPWM1~DPWM6は上記デューティサイクルレジスタDCR1~DCR6の値に応じたオンデューティ比の信号を出力する。デッドタイム付きコンプリメンタリ出力生成器DT&COMP1~DT&COMP6はデジタルPWM回路DPWM1~DPWM6の出力信号に応じて双方向コンバータの整流スイッチ素子および転流スイッチング素子を駆動する。
図28はフィードバック制御およびその他の制御ブロックの処理内容を含めて示した図である。図28において「フィードフォワード制御ブロック」は図27に示した構成を簡略化して表したものである。図28において「フィードバック制御ブロック」では、時刻t0における入力信号の振幅変化ΔRFref(t0)と遅延時間Td後の出力電圧Vout(t0+Td)とを基にして、増幅度Vout/RFrefを求め、それに応じて設計上の増幅度Gainとのずれを微調整するための+ΔQ,-ΔQを求め、フィードフォワード制御ブロックの「必要な+ΔQまたは-ΔQ電荷の計算」で求められる値を微調整する。
また、「フィードバック制御ブロック」では、前回タイミングでのVout(a)と今回タイミングでのVout(b)との差分ΔVout(b-a)を算出し、前回タイミングでの出力キャパシタに流れる電流Icout(a)と今回タイミングでのIcout(b)との差分の時間積分値ΔQout(b-a)を算出する。そして、時刻bでの出力キャパシタの容量を算出し、設計上の容量とのずれを微調整するための+ΔQ,-ΔQを求め、フィードフォワード制御ブロックの「必要な+ΔQまたは-ΔQ電荷の計算」で用いられる値を調整する。
「その他の制御ブロック」では、Voutが所定の上限値を超えたとき、またはIcoutが所定の上限値を超えたときにデューティサイクルレジスタDCRnのオンデューティ比を制限する。これにより過電圧保護または過電流保護を行う。また、外部からの強制ON/OFF信号に応じてデジタルPWM回路DPWMnを強制的にOFF(オンデューティ0)にする。さらに、ウォッチドッグタイマーがタイムアップすれば、外部へアラーム出力を行う。
図29は前記フィードバック制御ブロックによる微調整を含めた必要な+ΔQまたは-ΔQの計算処理内容を示す図である。設計値の増幅度Gainより実際の増幅度が低い場合にはΔQだけ増し、設計値の増幅度Gainより実際の増幅度が高い場合にはΔQだけ減じる。また、時刻bの出力キャパシタの容量Coutが設計値より低い場合にはΔQだけ減じ、設計値より高い場合にはΔQだけ増す。
図30は前記電荷担当の振り分け処理の例を示す図である。この処理は実際のエンベロープのdV/dtの変動値(max-min)をフェーズ数で分割し、dV/dtの値の範囲に応じてコンバータ毎のデューティサイクルレジスタDCRの値を定める。
dV/dtが170以上256以下であれば、Lout小で供給量大のコンバータCONV1がONを継続するように、前の状態がONモード時は引き続きONを継続し、前の状態がSLEEPモード時は解除してONに移行するよう、コンバータCONV1用のデューティサイクルレジスタDCR1の値を定める。
dV/dtが85以上170未満であれば、Lout中で供給量中のコンバータCONV2がONを継続するように、前の状態がONモード時は引き続きONを継続し、前の状態がSLEEPモード時は解除してONに移行するよう、コンバータCONV2用のデューティサイクルレジスタDCR2の値を定める。

図31(B)に示す例のように、微分値dV/dtの絶対値が小さい範囲で変位を続ける場合に、コンバータCONV3の供給動作およびコンバータCONV6の回生動作が頻繁に行き来することになる。これに対し、図31(A)に示すように、微分値dV/dtの絶対値が小さくて不感帯に入る場合には、コンバータCONV1~CONV6のいずれも停止する。このことにより、コンバータCONV3の供給動作およびコンバータCONV6の回生動作が頻繁に行き来する現象が防止され、デューティサイクルレジスタDCR3,DCR6の処理の集中が緩和されるとともに、動作が安定化する。
《第18の実施形態》
図32(A)は第18の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Aの構成を示すブロック図である。図32(B)は出力電圧の波形図である。
図32(A)に示すように、この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Aは双方向コンバータCONV1~CONVnの出力部にバイアス電圧重畳回路を設けている。このバイアス電圧重畳回路は、直流バイアス電圧を発生して、複数の双方向コンバータCONV1~CONVnの出力に重畳する回路である。この直流バイアス電圧を発生する回路は単一または複数の双方向コンバータで構成する。或いは、入力電圧の入力部前段に備えた電圧安定化回路より供給する。
図32(A)は第18の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Aの構成を示すブロック図である。図32(B)は出力電圧の波形図である。
図32(A)に示すように、この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Aは双方向コンバータCONV1~CONVnの出力部にバイアス電圧重畳回路を設けている。このバイアス電圧重畳回路は、直流バイアス電圧を発生して、複数の双方向コンバータCONV1~CONVnの出力に重畳する回路である。この直流バイアス電圧を発生する回路は単一または複数の双方向コンバータで構成する。或いは、入力電圧の入力部前段に備えた電圧安定化回路より供給する。
図32(B)に示すように出力電圧は直流バイアス電圧を常に超える値となり、このバイアス電圧を超える範囲で入力信号のエンベロープに追従した出力電圧となる。この構成により、出力電圧変動範囲が狭くなり、制御範囲が限定されるので制御性が高まる。
図33(A)は第18の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Bの構成を示すブロック図である。この高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Bは、図32(A)に示した高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置のより具体的な例である。図33(B)は高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置118Bの出力電圧の波形図である。図33(A)において、双方向コンバータCONVmは、入力電圧の入力部前段に備えられた双方向コンバータであり、直流バイアス電圧を供給する。
直流バイアス電圧を超えない範囲で、高周波電力増幅回路(出力電圧が供給される負荷)が可変抵抗性となる場合は、入力電圧と時比率によって出力電圧が一義的に決まるよう、直流バイアス電圧を発生する双方向コンバータCONVmの動作モードは、そのチョークコイル電流が連続的に流れる動作モードであることが好ましい。このことにより、フィードフォワードでの制御性が高まる。またこの直流バイアス電圧は必要に応じ変動させることも可能である。
《第19の実施形態》
図34は第19の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置119の構成を示すブロック図である。
コンバータ切替回路11が出力するパルス信号は後段のデバイス遅延の影響を受けるため、ターンオン時の立ち上がりエッジの遅延時間およびターンオフ時の立ち下がりエッジの遅延時間を独立して合わせるON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17H,17Lをハイサイドのスイッチ素子とローサイドのスイッチ素子についてそれぞれ備えている。FETドライバ18LはON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17Lの出力信号でローサイドのスイッチ素子Q22を駆動する。アイソレータ&FETドライバ18HはON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17Hの出力信号でハイサイドのスイッチ素子Q11を駆動する。これらの遅延調整部18H,18Lはシフトレジスタなどで構成される。
図34は第19の実施形態の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置119の構成を示すブロック図である。
コンバータ切替回路11が出力するパルス信号は後段のデバイス遅延の影響を受けるため、ターンオン時の立ち上がりエッジの遅延時間およびターンオフ時の立ち下がりエッジの遅延時間を独立して合わせるON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17H,17Lをハイサイドのスイッチ素子とローサイドのスイッチ素子についてそれぞれ備えている。FETドライバ18LはON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17Lの出力信号でローサイドのスイッチ素子Q22を駆動する。アイソレータ&FETドライバ18HはON&OFF時エッジ遅延独立調整部17Hの出力信号でハイサイドのスイッチ素子Q11を駆動する。これらの遅延調整部18H,18Lはシフトレジスタなどで構成される。
このように遅延調整部を演算用マイクロプロセッサMPU内部に備え、実際のデバイス遅延のバラツキに応じてタイミングの合ったパルス信号を各コンバータに供給する。
演算用マイクロプロセッサMPU内部で処理されるデジタルデータの演算遅延時間は予想できるが、コンバータ切替回路11が出力したパルス信号を受けるパルストランス、デジタルアイソレータ、フォトカプラ、FETドライバ、スイッチ素子(FET等)など、主にパワー半導体のON、OFFそれぞれの伝搬遅延時間のバラツキは相対的に非常に大きい。この実機のバラツキが問題となるが、これらのバラツキに応じてターンオンまたはターンオフの遅延を個別に調整することにより、例えば生産工程において個々の調整が可能となり、演算処理されたデータで正確にパワー半導体のON/OFFを制御することができる。

Claims (23)
- 高周波信号を増幅する高周波電力増幅回路へ電源電圧として供給する出力電圧を前記高周波信号の振幅変化に応じて変化させる高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置において、
入力電圧の入力部と前記出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた単一または複数の、電荷供給・回生が可能な双方向コンバータと、
前記高周波信号の振幅変化を検出し、前記出力電圧が前記高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、前記双方向コンバータによる電荷供給・回生を制御する振幅変化監視回路と、を備えたことを特徴とする高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記双方向コンバータの前記出力部に出力側エネルギー蓄積素子を備え、前記双方向コンバータの前記入力部に、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子から回生されるエネルギーを蓄える回生エネルギー蓄積素子を備える、請求項1に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記双方向コンバータは複数備えられ、
前記振幅変化監視回路は、前記高周波信号の振幅変化に基づいて、前記複数の双方向コンバータによる供給または回生を切り替える切替回路を備えた、請求項1または2に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記複数の双方向コンバータは供給または回生するエネルギー量がそれぞれ異なる、請求項3に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記複数の双方向コンバータが供給または回生するエネルギー量は、チョークコイルのインダクタンスまたは回路に寄生するインダクタンス成分の違いによりそれぞれ異なる、請求項4に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記双方向コンバータはスイッチング素子およびこのスイッチング素子のオン時間またはオフ時間の制御により供給または回生するエネルギー量を制御するスイッチング制御回路を備え、
前記スイッチング制御回路は、前記スイッチング素子の時比率、スイッチング周波数、スリープ時間およびバーストの時間の制御のいずれかを組み合わせた制御を行う請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記高周波信号の振幅変化に対する前記出力電圧の変化の遅延時間を把握する遅延時間検知回路を備えた、請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記振幅変化監視回路は、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量値と、前記高周波信号の振幅変化とに基づいて、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子へ供給するまたは回生する電荷量を調整する供給回生電荷量調整手段を備えた、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記振幅変化監視回路は前記高周波信号の振幅の微分値を求める手段を備え、
前記供給回生電荷量調整手段は、前記高周波信号の振幅変化の傾きが大きいほど、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子へ供給するまたは前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子から回生する電荷量を増加させる、請求項8に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記振幅変化監視回路は、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子への印加電圧および電流を検出して、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量を推測する出力容量推測手段を備えた、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記出力容量推測手段は、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子へ流れる電流から電荷移動量を検出し、この電荷移動量を前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子への印加電圧の変化量で除した値を前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量とする計算手段である、請求項10に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記出力容量推測手段は、前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子への印加電圧および電流を、サンプリングし、デジタル信号に変換し、複数点間のデータに基づくデジタル演算により前記出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量を推測する、請求項10または11に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記振幅変化監視回路はマイクロプロセッサを備え、
前記マイクロプロセッサは、前記双方向コンバータの動作/停止を切り替える手段と、前記双方向コンバータの異常を検知する手段と、この異常検知時に、前記双方向コンバータの動作を停止する手段を備えた、請求項1~12のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記入力電圧の入力部前段に、電圧安定化回路を備えた、請求項1~13のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記双方向コンバータは、絶縁トランスを備えた、絶縁型コンバータで構成した、請求項1~14のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記振幅変化監視回路は、単位時間(t0からt1までの期間)当たりの高周波信号の振幅変化をΔRFref(t1-t0)、必要なゲインをGain、供給する電荷量を+ΔQ(t1-t0)、回生する電荷量を -ΔQ(t1-t0)、出力側エネルギー蓄積素子の容量をCout、出力電圧変化をΔVoutで表した場合、
ΔVout=ΔRFref(t1-t0)×Gain= 〔+ΔQ(t1-t0)-ΔQ(t1-t0)〕/Cout
を満たす制御を行う、請求項1~15のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記振幅変化監視回路はマイクロプロセッサを備え、
前記マイクロプロセッサは、前記双方向コンバータを離散的にON/OFFして前記双方向コンバータによる電荷供給・回生を制御する、請求項1~16のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。 - 前記振幅変化監視回路は、前記高周波信号の振幅の微分値から求めた供給・回生電荷量を基に、複数の双方向コンバータのうち各双方向コンバータが供給または回生する電荷量の分担を求め、各双方向コンバータをON/OFF制御させるパルス発生器を備えた、請求項17に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記パルス発生器は、各双方向コンバータのターンオン時の遅延時間およびターンオフ時の遅延時間を独立して合わせる遅延素子を備えた、請求項18に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記振幅変化監視回路は、前記高周波信号の振幅の微分値がしきい値未満である場合に、前記双方向コンバータの離散的なON/OFF制御を停止する不感帯制御を行う手段を備る、請求項17~19のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記出力部に直流のバイアス電圧を重畳する直流バイアス電圧重畳手段を備えた、請求項1~20のいずれかに記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 前記直流バイアス電圧重畳手段は双方向コンバータおよびこの双方向コンバータが発生する前記バイアス電圧を時間軸上で変更する制御回路で構成された、請求項21に記載の高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置。
- 高周波信号を増幅する高周波電力増幅回路と、この高周波電力増幅回路へ電源電圧として供給する出力電圧を前記高周波信号の振幅変化に応じて変化させる高周波電力増幅回路用電源装置とを備えた高周波電力増幅装置において、
入力電圧の入力部と前記出力電圧の出力部との間に設けられた単一または複数の、電荷供給・回生が可能な双方向コンバータと、
前記高周波信号の振幅変化を検出し、前記出力電圧が前記高周波信号の振幅変化に追従するように、前記双方向コンバータによる電荷供給・回生を制御する振幅変化監視回路と、を備えたことを特徴とする高周波電力増幅装置。
