Abstract

A tap assembly for a fluid conduit, the tap assembly comprising at least one fluid flow 5 path, a release mechanism comprising a socket portion, a plug portion, and a locking member for receiving a pin member, wherein in a first position, the locking member is operable to engage with the pin member such that the plug portion is received in the socket portion, and the fluid flow path is substantially open.
