Abstract

According to a method for inputting Chinese using a touch screen having an intonation selection function proposed by the present invention, when a specific button is pressed, buttons related to the pressed button are repeatedly generated so as to enable easy input of Pinyin, and candidate Chinese characters for each intonation of a relevant Pinyin entry are presented so as to enable desired Chinese characters to be input at one time. Thus, when inputting Chinese characters in a mobile terminal or other immobile terminal using a touch screen that requires character input, problems of input complexity are solved and only a minimum number of buttons need be pressed only a minimum number of times so as to enable Chinese characters to be easily and quickly inputted.
