Abstract

 本発明による共振回路(10)は、磁気共鳴装置に用いられる共振回路である。共振回路(10)は、所定の周波数を有する電磁波のサンプルへの送信およびサンプルからの電磁波の受信の少なくとも一方を行う。共振回路(10)は、コイル(22)、および、コイル(10)に電気的に接続された少なくとも1つのキャパシタ(24)を有するLC回路(20)と、LC回路(20)に電気的に接続された伝送線路(30)とを備える。LC回路(20)のコイル(22)およびキャパシタ(24)は、所定の周波数とは異なる周波数で共振するように構成されており、LC回路(20)および伝送線路(30)は、前記所定の周波数で共振するように構成されている。

Description

共振回路
 本発明は、共振回路に関し、より詳細には、磁気共鳴装置に用いられる共振回路に関する。
 磁気共鳴法は、非侵襲的で対象物(サンプル)内の構造および状態を調べることができ、近年、研究のみならず診断にも好適に用いられている。例えば、磁気共鳴法を用いた手法として、磁気共鳴画像法(Magnetic Resonance Imaging:MRI)や核磁気共鳴法(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance:NMR)が知られている。
 磁気共鳴装置では、サンプルに強力な磁場を印加して、サンプル中の核スピンを持った原子核の磁気モーメントに静磁場方向を軸とする歳差運動を惹起させた状態で、静磁場方向に直交する向きの高周波磁場を印加して、原子核の磁気モーメントの歳差運動を励起し、その後、原子核の磁気モーメントの歳差運動が励起状態から基底状態に戻る際に放出される電磁波を、サンプルに固有な高周波磁界として観測する。特に、MRI装置では、磁気共鳴現象を利用してサンプルの検査部位における水素原子の核のスピンの密度分布や磁化の緩和時間分布に関するデータを収集し、検査部位の断層画像が表示される。
 一般的には、磁気共鳴装置の電磁波の送受信は、コイルおよびキャパシタを有するLC回路の共振を利用して行われる(例えば、特許文献1参照)。特許文献1には、LC回路を用いて電磁波の送受信を行う磁気共鳴装置が記載されている。LC回路のコイルおよびキャパシタは、所定の周波数を有する電磁波と共振するように構成されており、共振周波数は1/(2π×√(LC))と表される。

 一般に、磁気共鳴装置における信号の感度はそれほど高くなく、感度の向上が望まれている。例えば、感度が2倍になると積算時間を1/4に短縮でき、また、積算時間が等しい場合、解像度を向上させることができる。
 現在、感度を向上させるために、磁気共鳴に用いられる静磁場を増大させた磁気共鳴装置の開発が進められている。例えば、人間用に、磁束密度7T(300MHz)を越える静磁場を印加する磁気共鳴装置が開発されており、また、小動物用では、磁束密度11.7T(500MHz)以上の静磁場を印加する磁気共鳴装置が開発されている。
 また、感度を向上させるために、コイルのインダクタンスを増大させて誘起電圧を増大することも検討されている。例えば、コイルのインダクタンスは、コイルの巻き数および/またはコイルの径を増大させることによって増大させることができる。しかしながら、一般に、単純に、コイルの巻き数および/またはコイルの径を増大させてコイルのインダクタンスを増大させる場合、LC回路が所定の周波数の電磁波を送信および/または受信できないことがある。特に、磁気共鳴装置における静磁場が比較的大きい場合、コイルの巻き数および/またはコイルの径を増大させることは困難であった。例えば、磁束密度11.7T以上の静磁場を印加する磁気共鳴装置では、水素原子の原子核モーメントの共振する電磁波の周波数は500MHz以上となる。この場合、内径10mm程度の1ターンまたは2ターンのコイルが用いられているが、内径10mmを小さくすることなくコイルのターン数を増大させることは困難であり、感度を向上させることは困難であった。
 本発明は上記課題を鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、磁気共鳴における感度を改善した共振回路を提供することにある。
 本発明による共振回路は、磁気共鳴装置に用いられる共振回路であって、前記共振回路は、所定の周波数を有する電磁波のサンプルへの送信およびサンプルからの前記電磁波の受信の少なくとも一方を行い、前記共振回路は、コイル、および、前記コイルに電気的に接続された少なくとも1つのキャパシタを有するLC回路と、前記LC回路に電気的に接続された伝送線路とを備え、前記LC回路の前記コイルおよび前記キャパシタは、前記所定の周波数とは異なる周波数で共振するように構成されており、前記LC回路および前記伝送線路は、前記所定の周波数で共振するように構成されている。
 ある実施形態において、前記LC回路の前記コイルおよび前記キャパシタは、前記所定の周波数よりも低い周波数で共振するように構成されている。
 ある実施形態において、前記伝送線路は、前記電磁波をTEMモードで伝送する。

 本発明によれば、磁気共鳴における感度の改善された共振回路を提供することができる。

 以下、図面を参照して本発明による共振回路の実施形態を説明する。
 図1に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。共振回路10は磁気共鳴装置に用いられる。共振回路10は、所定の周波数を有する電磁波(高周波)のサンプルへの送信およびサンプルからの電磁波の受信の少なくとも一方を行う。共振回路10において共振する電磁波の周波数は、磁気共鳴装置における静磁場に応じて設定される。なお、本明細書の以下の説明において、上述した所定の周波数を共振回路の共振周波数と呼ぶことがある。
 共振回路10は、LC回路20と、LC回路20に電気的に接続された伝送線路30とを備える。LC回路20は、コイル22およびコイル22に電気的に接続されたキャパシタ(コンデンサ)24を有する。コイル22は1以上のターンを有している。LC回路20は複数のキャパシタ24を有していてもよい。キャパシタ24はコイル22に直列に接続されていてもよく、コイル22に並列に接続されてもよい。また、キャパシタ24としてコイル22に直列及び並列に接続された複数のキャパシタを用いてもよい。
 伝送線路30は、電磁波をTEM(Transverse Electromagnetic)モードで伝送する。伝送線路30として、例えば、同軸ケーブル、レッヘル線またはストリップ線路が用いられる。例えば、伝送線路30はLC回路20からみてインピーダンスがほぼゼロになるように構成されている。
 本実施形態の共振回路10において、LC回路20のコイル22およびキャパシタ24自体は、共振回路10の共振周波数とは異なる共振周波数を有しているが、LC回路20および伝送線路30を同時に用いることで所定の共振周波数で共振するように構成されている。このため、LC回路20の構成が変更されても、共振回路10は共振周波数の電磁波を送信および/または受信することができる。例えば、LC回路20のコイル22の巻き数を増加させると、電磁波の受信感度を向上させることができる一方で、それに伴い、LC回路20の共振する周波数が低減することがあるが、伝送線路30を設けることにより、共振回路10における共振周波数の低下を抑制することができる。
 例えば、LC回路20が伝送線路30と直列に接続されている場合、所定の周波数に対して共振回路10のインピーダンスが最も小さくなるように、LC回路20および伝送線路30は構成される。例えば、LC回路20自体の共振周波数は所定の周波数よりも低く、伝送線路30自体の共振周波数は所定の周波数よりも高くてもよい。あるいは、LC回路20自体の共振周波数は所定の周波数よりも高く、伝送線路30自体の共振周波数は所定の周波数よりも低くてもよい。なお、LC回路20は伝送線路30と並列に接続されてもよい。
 図2に、共振回路10を備えた磁気共鳴装置100の模式図を示す。磁気共鳴装置100は、共振回路10と、静磁場を印加する静磁場発生部110と、傾斜磁場を印加する傾斜磁場発生部120とを備える。例えば、静磁場発生部110はコイルから形成されており、静磁場発生電源112に接続されている。また、例えば、傾斜磁場発生部120はコイルから形成されており、傾斜磁場発生電源122に接続されている。例えば、静磁場発生部110および傾斜磁場発生部120はそれぞれ円筒状に設けられており、サンプルは、これらの中心部分に配置される。例えば、共振回路10のコイル22は、磁気共鳴装置100の表面コイルとして用いられる。
 また、ここでは、共振回路10は、サンプルに電磁波を送信するとともにサンプルからの電磁波を受信するが、共振回路10は、サンプルへの電磁波の送信およびサンプルからの電磁波を受信の一方を行い、他方は別の回路によって行われてもよい。例えば、外側に設けられた大きな径の送信回路を用いて大きなパワーの電磁波を照射して、受信回路として共振回路10を用いて局所的に高周波を受信してもよい。
 電磁波のエネルギーを受ける水素原子核の磁気モーメントは、42.6MHz/Tである。例えば、磁束密度が1.5Tの場合、水素原子から送受信される電磁波の周波数は64MHzである。磁束密度が3Tの場合、電磁波の周波数は128MHzである。磁束密度が11.7Tの場合、電磁波の周波数は500MHzである。なお、共振回路における共振周波数が所定の周波数よりも数MHzずれると、電磁波との共振が起こらず、所定の周波数の電磁波の送受信が行われない。
 図3に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。図3に示した共振回路10では、コイル22は1ターンの配線から形成されており、コイル22はキャパシタ24と直列に接続されている。例えば、配線の幅は0.5mmである。また、ここでは、コイル22は平面状に形成されている。
 伝送線路30は導線32、34を有している。導線32はLC回路20と電気的に接続されている。なお、図3に示した共振回路10では、導線34の一端はLC回路20と電気的に接続されており、典型的には、導線34の他端は接地されている。本明細書において導線32を第1導線と呼ぶことがあり、導線34を第2導線と呼ぶことがある。
 例えば、導線32、34の長さLは、所定の周波数に対応する波長のほぼ1/4である。なお、厳密には、この波長は、真空または空気中の波長ではなく、導線32、34を伝搬する電磁波の波長である。この場合、伝送線路30は、λ/4TEM(Transverse Electromagnetic)で電磁波を伝送する。図3に示した共振回路10では、第1導線32および第2導線34は互いに短絡しておらず、伝送線路30はLC回路20からみてインピーダンスがほぼゼロになるように構成されている。
 なお、図3に示した共振回路10では、導線32、34の長さLは、所定の周波数に対応する波長のほぼ1/4であったが、本発明はこれに限定されない。導線32、34の長さLは、所定の周波数に対応する波長のほぼ1/4の奇数倍であってもよい。
 伝送線路30として同軸ケーブルが好適に用いられる。図4に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。図4に示した共振回路10では、伝送線路30として同軸ケーブルを用いている。第1導線32は同軸ケーブル30の内部導体(芯線)として用いられており、第2導線34は同軸ケーブル30の外部導体として用いられている。導線32と導線34との間には絶縁部材が設けられている。例えば、絶縁部材はポリエチレンから形成されており、同軸ケーブル30の特性インピーダンスは約50Ωである。
 なお、上述した説明では、キャパシタ24は伝送線路30よりもコイル22側に設けられたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。また、図3および図4に示した共振回路10では、キャパシタ24はコイル22に直列に接続されたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。
 図5に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。図5に示した共振回路10では、キャパシタ24a、24bがコイル22と伝送線路(同軸ケーブル)30との間に設けられている。キャパシタ24aはコイル22と直列に接続されており、キャパシタ24bはコイル22と並列に接続されている。
 キャパシタ42、44は伝送線路(同軸ケーブル)30に対してコイル22とは反対側に設けられている。なお、キャパシタ42、44は、伝送線路(同軸ケーブル)30と、共振回路10を制御する制御回路(図示せず)との間に設けられている。
 ここでは、キャパシタ42、44は、容量(キャパシタンス)を変更可能である。キャパシタ42は、伝送系を同一のインピーダンスに整合させるために共振回路10に設けられている。また、キャパシタ44は、チューニングに用いられ、特定の周波数で回路が共振し、電磁波を受信しやすくなるように設けられている。このようなキャパシタ42、44はバリコン(バリアブルコンデンサ)とも呼ばれる。なお、導線34およびキャパシタ44は接地されている。例えば、導線34およびキャパシタ44は物理的に接続された状態で接地されてもよい。
 なお、上述した共振回路10では、キャパシタ24はコイル22とは別の箇所に設けられていたが、キャパシタをコイル22内に設けてもよい。
 図6に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。図6に示した共振回路10においてコイル22は、互いに分離された配線22a、22bを有する。配線22a、22bの幅は約0.5mmである。本明細書において配線22a、22bを第1配線22a、第2配線22bと呼ぶことがある。
 図6に示した共振回路10では、コイル22と直列的に接続されたキャパシタ24a、および、コイル22と並列的に接続されたキャパシタ24bに加えて、第1配線22aおよび第2配線22bの間にキャパシタ24cが設けられている。キャパシタ24cは、第1配線22aおよび第2配線22bの両方と接続されている。例えば、キャパシタ24cはチップキャパシタである。このように、キャパシタ24cを設けることにより、LC回路20の構成を多少変更しても、制御回路(図示せず)を介して所定の周波数の電磁波を送信および/または受信することができる。例えば、コイル22の巻き数を増加させると、電磁波の受信感度を向上させることができる一方で、それに伴い、LC回路20において共振する電磁波の周波数が低減することがあるが、キャパシタ24cを設けることにより、共振回路10の共振周波数の低下を抑制することができる。
 また、上述したように、コイル22は1ターンであってもよい。一般に、コイル22の径が小さいほど、送受信される電磁波の強度を均一化することができる。一方、コイル22の径が大きいほど、インダクタンスが増加し、コイル22と電磁波の送受信可能な領域との距離を増加させることができる。
 なお、コイル22は2以上のターンの配線から形成されてもよい。図7に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。この共振回路10において、コイル22は2ターンを有している。このように、コイル22のターン数を増大させることにより、誘導電圧(起電力)を増大させることができ、共振回路10の感度を向上させることができる。
 なお、コイル22のターン数が多いほど、インダクタンスが増加し、コイル22と電磁波の送受信可能な領域との距離を増加できる。コイル22が2以上のターンを有する場合、径の異なる配線が同心円形状に構成されていることが好ましい。この場合、コイル22が径の異なる配線を有しているため、電磁波の送受信を比較的広い領域にわたってほぼ均一に行うことができる。
 なお、図7に示した共振回路10ではコイル22のターン数は2であったが、本発明はこれに限定されない。コイル22の巻数は3以上であってもよい。
 図8に、本実施形態の共振回路10の模式図を示す。図8に示した共振回路10ではコイル22は3ターンを有している。コイル22の径(内径)は10mm以上である。
 また、ここでは、共振回路10は、キャパシタ24a、24b、24c、42、44を有している。例えば、キャパシタ24a、24b、24cのキャパシタンス(容量)は、それぞれ、約1pF、約1pF、約2pFであり、キャパシタ42、44のキャパシタンス(容量)はいずれも4pF以下に調整されている。また、コイル22の長さは約10cmであり、コイル22には約2.5Aの交流電流が流れる。
 図8に示した共振回路10では、共振周波数を500MHzに設定することができる。例えば、磁束密度を11.7Tに設定する場合、水素原子核は500MHzの電磁波と共鳴して吸収し、また、吸収した電磁波を放出する。このため、共振回路10が、周波数500MHzの電磁波を照射し、周波数500MHzの電磁波を受信することにより、サンプル内の水素原子の状態を測定することができる。この場合、同軸ケーブル30は約15cmである。ただし、同軸ケーブル30を伝搬する電磁波の速度は、真空中または空気中よりも小さく、短縮率は1よりも大きいので、厳密には、同軸ケーブル30は15cmよりも短い。なお、ここでは、コイル22の径が10mm以上であり、キャパシタ24cを設けているが、コイル22の径が小さい場合、キャパシタ24cを省略してもよい。ただし、コイル22の径が比較的大きいことにより、共振回路10は、コイル22から比較的離れた地点の電磁波を送受信することができ、例えば、マウスの脳、脊髄および心臓などの撮像に好適に用いられる。
 図9(a)に、マウスの頭部に対して共振回路10のコイル22を配置した模式図を示し、図9(b)に、共振回路10を用いて得られる像の一例を示す。
 以下、比較例の共振回路と比較して本実施形態の共振回路10の利点を説明する。ここでは、磁束密度11.7Tの磁場を印加する磁気共鳴装置を用いる。この磁場に対応する電磁波の周波数は500MHzである。
 図10に、比較例の共振回路90を示す。共振回路90は、2ターンのコイル92および、キャパシタ94a、94bを有している。キャパシタ94aはコイル92に直列に接続されており、キャパシタ94bはコイル92に並列に接続されている。
 ここでは、ファントムとして、生理的食塩水+CuSO4(0.47g/L)を用いる。図11および図12に、比較例の共振回路90のコイル92を表面コイルとして用いた撮像結果を示す。ここでは、撮像は、マルチスライスマルチエコー法(multi-Slice Multi-Echo:MSME)のパルスシークエンスを用いて行った。磁束密度は11.7Tであり、共鳴周波数は500MHzである。
 図11(a)~図11(f)および図12(a)~図12(f)はファントムを上から12分割にスライスしたそれぞれの像である。磁気共鳴装置としてブルカー社(Bruker)製のAVANCE 500WBを用いて、ファントムの左側にコイル92を置いて撮像を行った。図11および図12において白い部分は電磁波が強い箇所を示しており、右方向に行くほど共振回路90から離れる。
 図13および図14に、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いた撮像結果を示す。ここでは、撮像は、マルチスライスマルチエコー(multi-Slice Multi-Echo:MSME)のパルスシークエンスを用いて行った。磁束密度11.7Tであり、共鳴周波数は500MHzである。
 図13(a)~図13(f)および図14(a)~図14(f)は、ファントムを上から12分割にスライスしたそれぞれの像である。磁気共鳴装置としてブルカー社(Bruker)製のAVANCE 500WBを用いて、ファントムの左側にコイル22を置いて撮像を行った。図11、図12と図13、図14との比較から理解されるように、比較例の共振回路90と比べて、本実施形態の共振回路10では、左右・上下方向で共振回路10からより離れた場所でも強い電磁波が得られている。
 図15を参照して、比較例の共振回路90を用いて得られた図12(a)に示した像の中心に沿った電磁波の強度分布を説明する。図15(a)に深さ方向(図12(a)の右方向)に沿って電磁波の強度の変化を示し、図15(b)に、深さDaにおける幅方向に沿った電磁波の強度の変化を示す。図15(a)および図15(b)から理解されるように、照射電磁波が強すぎても弱すぎても、強い電磁波が得られない。
 図16を参照して、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いて得られた図13(f)に示した像の中心に沿った電磁波の強度分布を説明する。図16(a)に深さ方向の電磁波の強度の変化を示し、図16(b)に深さDbにおける幅方向の電磁波の強度の変化を示す。図15と図16との比較から理解されるように、共振回路10のコイル22を表面コイルとして用いることにより、広くかつ深い範囲に電磁波を照射していることが理解される。共振回路10により、測定領域の深さおよび幅は共振回路90と比べて2倍程度に向上している。
 図17(a)に、比較例の共振回路90を用いてBruker AVANCE 500WBにてFLASH(Fast Low-angle Shot)シークエンスでマウスの頭部を撮像した図を示す。図17(a)に示すように、共振回路90のコイル92を表面コイルとして用いた場合、コイル92に近い頭皮が強調される一方で、左右方向および深さ方向で感度が急激に低下する。
 図17(b)に、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いてBruker AVANCE 500WBにてFLASHシークエンスでマウスの頭部を撮像した図を示す。図17(b)に示すように、共振回路10のコイル22を表面コイルとして用いた場合、マウスの頭部のほぼ全体を高感度に撮像できる。
 なお、共振回路10のコイル22はサンプルの形状に合わせて変形されてもよい。例えば、図18(a)に示すように、側面から見て、コイル22はサンプルの凸部(例えば、マウスの頭部)と整合するように変形されてもよい。また、図18(b)に示すように、正面から見て、コイル22はサンプルの凸部(例えば、マウスの頭部)と整合するように変形されてもよい。このように、コイル22をサンプルの形状に合わせることで照射する電磁波の均一度を向上させ、画像の感度ムラを小さくすることができる。
 以下に、図19~図21を参照して、磁気共鳴装置の表面コイルとして、本実施形態の共振回路10または比較例の共振回路を用いて同一のマウスを測定した測定結果を説明する。ここでは、本実施形態の共振回路10のコイル22は3ターンであり、比較例の共振回路のコイルは2ターンである。なお、ここでも、本実施形態の共振回路10は伝送線路30としてλ/4同軸ケーブルを有しているのに対して、比較例の共振回路は伝送線路を有していない。
 図19(a)に、比較例の共振回路を用いてマウスの腰部の横断面を撮像した図を示し、図19(b)に、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いてマウスの腰部の横断面を撮像した図を示す。図19(a)と図19(b)との比較から理解されるように、比較例の共振回路を用いると、十分な感度の画像が得られない。
 なお、比較例の共振回路を用いた場合、ある程度の感度で脊髄を観察する場合、電磁波の照射強度を増加させる必要があるが、この場合、脊髄付近は比較的観察しやくなる一方で、表面近傍を適切に観察できない。これに対して、本実施形態の比較回路10を用いると、腰の表面から脊髄にかけた広い範囲にわたって十分な感度の画像を得ることができる。
 図20は比較例の共振回路を用いてマウスの脊髄付近の血管を撮像した図であり、図20(a)、図20(b)および図20(c)は矢状面、横断面および冠状面をそれぞれ示す。図21は本実施形態の共振回路10を用いてマウスの脊髄付近の血管を撮像した図であり、図21(a)、図21(b)および図21(c)は矢状面、横断面および冠状面をそれぞれ示す。
 比較例の共振回路を用いた場合、脊髄の血管よりも離れた画像右側の血管(図20(a)~図20(c)における矢印部分)は比較的充分に観察できるのに対して脊髄周囲の血管は非常に見えにくい。これに対して、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いると、脊髄周囲だけでなく、更に深い箇所に存在している、腹大動脈やその分枝した血管、および、下大静脈等の太い静脈も観察できる。
 また、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いると、細胞レベルの観察を行うことができる。図22に、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いて撮像された、マウスの膝窩リンパ節のMRI像を示す。図22に示すように、矢印先端で囲まれた領域に、標識免疫細胞が単一細胞レベルで観察される。このように、本実施形態の共振回路10を用いることにより、単一細胞レベルで観察を行うことができる。
 なお、上述した説明では、1つの共振回路が磁気共鳴装置に用いられており、また、共振回路に1つのコイルが設けられていたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。磁気共鳴装置の多チャンネル化を実現するために、複数の共振回路が磁気共鳴装置に用いられてもよく、あるいは、1つの共振回路に複数のコイルが設けられてもよい。このように、磁気共鳴装置に複数のコイルが設けられることにより、人の頭部全体や腹部全体を対象とした測定を好適に行うことができる。
 なお、上述した説明では、共振回路10は伝送線路30を備えていたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。例えば、周波数500MHz以上で共振する共振回路10は、伝送線路30を備えることなく内径10mm以上で3ターン以上のコイル22を有してもよい。例えば、コイル22内に複数のキャパシタ24を配置することにより、共振回路10は、伝送線路30を備えることなく、周波数500MHz以上で共振し、内径10mm以上で3ターン以上のコイル22を有することができる。このような共振回路10では、コイル22の径を比較的大きくすることができるため、例えば、マウスの脳、脊髄および心臓などを撮像することができる。また、周波数500MHz以上で共振する共振回路10は径(内径)10cm以上で1ターン以上のコイル22を有してもよい。
 なお、上述した説明では、共振回路10は水素原子核からの電磁波を受信しており、共振回路は磁気共鳴イメージング(MRI)装置に用いられたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。共振回路10は水素原子以外の原子核からの電磁波を送信または受信してもよい。
 本発明によれば、磁気共鳴法において感度の改善された共振回路を提供することができる。このような共振回路は小動物または人の局部を対象とした磁気共鳴法に好適に用いられる。また、本発明による共振回路のコイルを複数同時に用いて磁気共鳴装置の多チャンネル化を実現することにより、人の頭部全体や腹部全体を対象とした測定を好適に行うことができる。

Claims (14)

  1.  磁気共鳴装置に用いられる共振回路であって、
     前記共振回路は、所定の周波数を有する電磁波のサンプルへの送信およびサンプルからの前記電磁波の受信の少なくとも一方を行い、
     前記共振回路は、
     コイル、および、前記コイルに電気的に接続された少なくとも1つのキャパシタを有するLC回路と、
     前記LC回路に電気的に接続された伝送線路と
    を備え、
     前記LC回路の前記コイルおよび前記キャパシタは、前記所定の周波数とは異なる周波数で共振するように構成されており、
     前記LC回路および前記伝送線路は、前記所定の周波数で共振するように構成されている、共振回路。
  2.  前記LC回路の前記コイルおよび前記キャパシタは、前記所定の周波数よりも低い周波数で共振するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の共振回路。
  3.  前記伝送線路は、前記電磁波をTEMモードで伝送する、請求項1または2に記載の共振回路。
  4. [規則91に基づく訂正 04.07.2012] 
     前記伝送線路は、前記LC回路と電気的に接続された第1導線および第2導線を有し、
     前記第1導線および前記第2導線は、前記所定の周波数に対応する波長のほぼ1/4の長さを有しており、
     前記第1導線および前記第2導線は互いに短絡していない、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  5.  前記伝送線路は同軸ケーブルを含む、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  6.  前記伝送線路は、前記LC回路からみてインピーダンスがほぼゼロになるように構成されている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  7.  前記コイルは、第1配線および第2配線を有し、
     前記少なくとも1つのキャパシタは、前記第1配線および前記第2配線と接続されたキャパシタを有する、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  8.  前記コイルは複数のターンを有する、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  9.  前記複数のターンは異なる径を有している、請求項8に記載の共振回路。
  10.  前記コイルは3以上のターンを有する、請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  11.  前記コイルは10mm以上の内径を有する、請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  12.  前記所定の周波数は500MHz以上である、請求項1から11のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  13.  前記コイルは、前記サンプルに整合する形状を有している、請求項1から12のいずれかに記載の共振回路。
  14.  磁気共鳴装置に用いられる共振回路であって、
     前記共振回路は、所定の周波数を有する電磁波のサンプルへの送信およびサンプルからの前記電磁波の受信の少なくとも一方を行い、
     前記所定の周波数は500MHz以上であり、
     前記共振回路は、3以上のターンを有するコイルを有し、前記コイルの内径は10mm以上である、共振回路。
