Abstract

Die elektrodynamische Maschine (1) hat eine zumindest einen Stator (3) umfassende Aktiveinheit (2) und eine eine Längsachse (7) aufweisende Welle (6). Die Aktiveinheit (2) und zumindest ein Teil der Welle (6) sind in einem Gehäuse (8) angeordnet. Zwischen dem Gehäuse (8) und der Aktiveinheit (2) ist ein zusätzlicher Mantel (15) vorgesehen, in dem der Stator (3) gehalten ist. Der Mantel (15) hat in Richtung der Längsachse (7) gesehen zwei axiale Stirnseiten und ist an den beiden axialen Stirnseiten mit jeweils einem tangentialen Kontaktrand (16, 17) versehen, wobei der Mantel (15) zumindest in Umfangsrichtung ausschließlich mittels der beiden Kontaktränder (16, 17) an dem Gehäuse (8) abgestützt ist.
