Abstract

A presente invenção insere-se no campo da tecnologia verde, por meio da produção de biogás, a partir de biomassa vegetal, em reatores operados em processo semicontínuo ou contínuo. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de produção de biogás compreendendo as etapas de: (a) pré-tratamento de biomassa vegetal através de explosão a vapor; (b) hidrólise do material tratado na etapa (a) por bactérias hidrolí- ticas, com ou sem a adição de enzimas celulases, em conjunto ou não com enzimas xilanases; e (c) digestão anaeróbia do material hidrolisado na etapa (b); em que as etapas (a), (b) e (c) são realizadas em reatores separados e o produto da etapa (c) é o biogás. A presente invenção refere-se ainda a um sistema para a realização do processo de produção de biogás também objeto da invenção, o qual compreende: (i) um primeiro reator para o pré-tratamento de biomassa vegetal através de explosão a vapor; (ii) um segundo reator para a hidrólise do material tratado na e- tapa (i) por bactérias hidrolíticas, com ou sem a adição de enzimas celulases, em conjunto ou não com enzimas xilanases; e (iii) um terceiro reator para a digestão anaeróbia do material hidrolisado na etapa (ii).
