Abstract

The invention relates to the field of seismology and is intended for predicting earthquakes. The magnitude of a future earthquake is determined on the basis of seismic data sets from a source of seismic waves, namely distant earthquakes, and the time window of a medium-term prediction, as well as the start of a short-term prediction and the onset time of the earthquake are established on the basis of the response of the aquifer in a groundwater well to the effect of lunar-solar tides.
