Abstract

 電力管理システムは、電力供給手段と、電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える。電力管理システムは、測定手段及び通信手段を制御する制御部を備える。測定手段及び通信手段の電源として、電力供給手段が利用される。制御部は、電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定する。

Description

電力管理システム及び電力管理方法
 本発明は、太陽電池に代表される電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える電力管理システム及び電力管理方法に関する。
 従来、太陽電池の発電量を最大化するために、太陽電池の動作電力点を変化させる技術が知られている。このような技術は、MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)法と称される(例えば、特許文献1)。
 また、太陽電池と電力系統との間の連系を制御するシステム(以下、EMS:Energy Management System)も知られている。このようなEMSは、太陽電池によって発電された電力を電力系統側に出力する制御(逆潮流制御)などを行う。
 ここで、太陽電池の発電量は、天候によって影響を受けるため、太陽電池の発電量を予測するために、測定手段によって測定される情報が利用される。なお、測定手段は、例えば、日射量を測定する日射計、気温を測定する気温計、太陽電池の温度を測定する熱電対などである。このようなケースにおいて、測定手段は、太陽電池の近傍に配置されることが好ましいため、測定手段によって測定された情報をEMSに送信する通信手段が利用される。
 ところで、太陽電池に代表される電力供給手段の設置場所として、自由に電源を確保できないケースが考えられる。例えば、太陽電池を砂漠に設置するケースが考えられる。
 発明者らは、このようなケースにおいて、測定手段や通信手段の電源として、太陽電池に代表される電力供給手段を利用することに想到した。
 一方で、上述したように、太陽電池に代表される自らが発電する電力供給手段の発電量は、天候によって影響を受ける。従って、測定手段や通信手段の電源として太陽電池に代表される電力供給手段を利用する場合には、測定手段や通信手段に安定的に電力を供給することができない。

 第1の特徴に係る電力管理システム(電力管理システム100)は、電力供給手段(例えば、太陽電池10)と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段(測定手段20)と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段(通信手段43)とを備える。電力管理システムは、前記測定手段及び前記通信手段を制御する制御部(制御部42)を備える。前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として、前記電力供給手段が利用される。前記制御部は、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定する。前記制御部は、前記供給電力量と前記第1電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替え、前記供給電力量と前記第2電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替える。

 第2の特徴に係る電力管理システムは、電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える。電力管理システムは、前記測定手段及び前記通信手段を制御する制御部を備える。前記制御部は、前記測定手段の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報、或いは、前記通信手段の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報を送信するように、前記通信手段を制御する。
 第3の特徴に係る電力管理方法は、電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える電力管理システムで用いる方法である。前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として、前記電力供給手段が利用される。電力管理方法は、前記電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定するステップと、前記供給電力量と前記第1電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替え、前記供給電力量と前記第2電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるステップとを備える。

 以下において、本発明の実施形態に係る電力管理システムについて、図面を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下の図面の記載において、同一又は類似の部分には、同一又は類似の符号を付している。
 ただし、図面は模式的なものであり、各寸法の比率などは現実のものとは異なることに留意すべきである。従って、具体的な寸法などは以下の説明を参酌して判断すべきである。また、図面相互間においても互いの寸法の関係や比率が異なる部分が含まれていることは勿論である。
[実施形態の概要]
 実施形態に係る電力管理システムは、電力供給手段と、電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える。電力管理システムは、測定手段及び通信手段を制御する制御部を備える。測定手段及び通信手段の電源として、電力供給手段が利用される。制御部は、電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定する。
 実施形態では、制御部は、電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、第1電力閾値及び第2電力閾値を設定する。言い換えると、供給電力量と第1電力閾値との比較結果に応じて、測定手段の動作状態が切り替わる。また、供給電力量と第2電力閾値との比較結果に応じて、通信手段の動作状態が切り替わる。
 従って、測定手段や通信手段の電源として太陽電池を利用する場合に、測定手段や通信手段の動作を適切に制御することができる。
 なお、本発明における電力供給手段は、太陽電池、風力発電装置、水力発電装置などの自らで発電を行なえる手段である。実施形態では、電力供給手段として太陽電池を例示する。
 [第1実施形態]
 (電力管理システムの構成)
 以下において、第1実施形態に係る電力管理システムについて、図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、第1実施形態に係る電力管理システム100を示す図である。
 図1に示すように、電力管理システム100は、複数の太陽電池10と、測定手段20と、変換部30と、複数の接続箱40と、複数のPCS50と、AC集電盤60と、分離装置70と、計測処理装置80と、通信網110と、サーバ120とを有する。
 複数の太陽電池10(図1では、PV)は、第1グループに属する太陽電池群10(太陽電池10A~太陽電池10X)と、第2グループに属する太陽電池群10(太陽電池10A~太陽電池10X)と、…第nグループに属する太陽電池群10(太陽電池10A~太陽電池10X)とを有する。
 なお、太陽電池10は、電力を供給する電力供給手段の一例である。具体的には、太陽電池10は、太陽光などの光に応じて電力を発電する。
 測定手段20は、センシングデバイス、測定ブロック、測定器などの測定器類である。第1実施形態では、測定手段20は、例えば、太陽電池10の発電環境を測定するセンサなどである。測定手段20は、太陽電池10の近傍に設けられており、例えば、日射計20Aと、気温計20Bと、熱電対20Cとを含む。日射計20Aは、太陽電池10に照射される日射量を測定する。気温計20Bは、太陽電池10の近傍の気温を測定する。熱電対20Cは、太陽電池10の温度を測定する。
 なお、測定手段20は、日射計20A、気温計20B及び熱電対20Cのいずれか一つであってもよい。或いは、測定手段20は、日射計20A、気温計20B及び熱電対20C以外の測定器であってもよい。
 なお、測定手段20の電源として、太陽電池10が利用される。図1に示すケースでは、測定手段20の電源として、太陽電池群10が利用される。
 変換部30は、測定手段20で測定された情報を変換する。具体的には、変換部30は、測定手段20から出力されるアナログ信号をサンプリングして、アナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換する。
 第1実施形態では、変換部30は、接続箱40に接続されており、測定手段20で測定された情報を接続箱40に出力する。
 複数の接続箱40のそれぞれは、太陽電池10のグループのそれぞれに対応している。具体的には、複数の接続箱40は、太陽電池群10に対応する接続箱40と、太陽電池群10に対応する接続箱40と、…太陽電池群10に対応する接続箱40とを有する。
 各接続箱40に収容される回路群は、接続箱40に接続されている複数の太陽電池10から延びる電力線を集線する。また、各接続箱40に収容される回路群は、接続箱40に接続されている複数の太陽電池10の出力(出力電圧や出力電流)を個別に検出する。
 複数の接続箱40は、無線或いは有線で互いに接続される。各接続箱40に収容される回路群で検出された太陽電池10の出力(出力電圧や出力電流)は、複数の接続箱40に収容される回路群の間で互いに交換される。
 第1実施形態では、接続箱40に収容される回路群は、上述したように、変換部30に接続されており、測定手段20で測定された情報を変換部30から取得する。また、接続箱40に収容される回路群は、無線或いは有線で計測処理装置80に接続されており、測定手段20で測定された情報を計測処理装置80に送信する。第1実施形態では、接続箱40と計測処理装置80との間の通信は、電力線を利用するPLC(Power Line Communications)によって行われる。
 なお、接続箱40に収容される回路群の詳細については後述する(図2を参照)。
 ここで、太陽電池10、測定手段20、変換部30及び接続箱40は、例えば、屋外に設けられることに留意すべきである。
 複数のPCS50のそれぞれは、複数の接続箱40のそれぞれに対応している。具体的には、複数のPCS50は、接続箱40に対応するPCS50と、接続箱40に対応するPCS50と、…接続箱40に対応するPCS50とを有する。
 各PCS50は、直流電力を交流電力に変換する装置(Power Conditioning System)である。具体的には、PCS50は、太陽電池10から供給される直流電力を交流電力に変換して、交流電力を電力系統側に供給する。
 なお、PCS50は、交流電力を直流電力に変換する機能を有していてもよい。例えば、PCS50は、電力系統側から供給される交流電力を直流電流に変換して、直流電力を蓄電池(不図示)に供給してもよい。
 AC集電盤60は、複数のPCS50から延びる電力線を集線する。AC集電盤60は、複数のPCS50によって変換された交流電力を電力系統側に供給する。
 分離装置70は、電力線を流れる電流に重畳された信号を分離する。分離装置70は、無線或いは有線で計測処理装置80と接続される。分離装置70は、電力線を流れる電流から分離された信号を計測処理装置80に送信する。
 第1実施形態では、分離装置70は、接続箱40及びPCS50と電力線を介して接続される。分離装置70は、接続箱40によって電流に重畳された信号(すなわち、測定手段20で測定された情報)を分離する。
 計測処理装置80は、分離装置70からの信号およびPCS50からの信号を受け取る装置であり、例えば、通信網110を介してサーバ120に対して、測定手段20で測定された情報を送信する。なお、計測処理装置80は、複数のPCS50を含んでいてもよい。或いは、計測処理装置80は、複数のPCS50及びAC集電盤60を含んでいてもよい。なお、計測処理装置80を複数の太陽電池10と電力系統との間の連系を制御する装置(Energy Management System)とし、屋内の負荷にも接続されて、接続された負荷を制御するようにしてもよい。 ここで、PCS50、AC集電盤60、分離装置70及び計測処理装置80は、例えば、屋内に設けられることに留意すべきである。
 通信網110は、例えば、インターネットなどのネットワークである。サーバ120は、例えば、各施設に設けられた太陽電池の発電量を予測する機能を有する。或いは、サーバ120は、各施設に設けられた太陽電池から出力される電力量(逆潮流量)を制御する。
 (接続箱の構成)
 以下において、第1実施形態に係る接続箱について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図2は、第1実施形態に係る接続箱40に収容される回路群を示す図である。ここでは、計測処理装置80と通信を行う回路群を収容する接続箱40(第1実施形態では、接続箱40)について説明することに留意すべきである。
 図2に示すように、接続箱40は、DC/DCコンバータ41と、制御部42と、通信手段43とを有する。図2に示すように、太陽電池10から供給される電力は、DC/DCコンバータ41及びPCS50に供給されることに留意すべきである。
 DC/DCコンバータ41は、太陽電池10から供給される電力を変圧する回路である。DC/DCコンバータ41によって変圧された電力は、測定手段20(以下、変換部30を含む)、制御部42及び通信手段43に供給される。
 制御部42は、測定手段20及び通信手段43を制御する。具体的には、制御部42は、太陽電池10から供給される電力量に基づいて、測定手段20の動作状態及び通信手段43の動作状態を制御する。
 第1に、制御部42は、太陽電池10から供給される供給電力量を検出する。第1実施形態では、制御部42は、供給電力量として、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量を検出する。
 第2に、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値及び通信手段43の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定する。
 例えば、測定手段20の動作状態としては、例えば、測定手段20の動作を停止した状態(OFF状態)及び測定手段20が動作している状態(ON状態)が考えられる。言い換えると、第1電力閾値は、測定手段20の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作開始電力閾値であってもよく、測定手段20の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作停止電力閾値であってもよい。なお、第1動作開始電力閾値及び第1動作停止電力閾値は互いに異なる値であってもよい。
 或いは、測定手段20の動作状態としては、例えば、測定手段20の測定周期が長い状態(延長状態)及び測定手段20の測定周期が長い状態(短縮状態)が考えられる。言い換えると、第1電力閾値は、測定手段20の測定周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第1延長電力閾値であってもよく、測定手段20の測定周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第1短縮電力閾値であってもよい。なお、第1延長電力閾値及び第1短縮電力閾値は互いに異なる値であってもよい。
 例えば、通信手段43の動作状態としては、例えば、通信手段43の動作を停止した状態(OFF状態)及び通信手段43が動作している状態(ON状態)が考えられる。言い換えると、第2電力閾値は、通信手段43の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作開始電力閾値であってもよく、通信手段43の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作停止電力閾値であってもよい。なお、第2動作開始電力閾値及び第2動作停止電力閾値は互いに異なる値であってもよい。
 或いは、通信手段43の動作状態としては、例えば、通信手段43の送信周期が長い状態(延長状態)及び通信手段43の送信周期が短い状態(短縮状態)が考えられる。言い換えると、第2電力閾値は、通信手段43の送信周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第2延長電力閾値であってもよく、通信手段43の送信周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第2短縮電力閾値であってもよい。なお、第2延長電力閾値及び第2短縮電力閾値は互いに異なる値であってもよい。
 ここで、通信手段43の消費電力は、測定手段20の消費電力よりも大きいことが一般的である。
 従って、制御部42は、第1動作開始電力閾値として、第2動作開始電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、第1動作停止電力閾値として、第2動作停止電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定することが好ましい。或いは、制御部42は、第1延長電力閾値として、第2延長電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、第1短縮電力閾値として、第2短縮電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定することが好ましい。
 第3に、制御部42は、供給電力量(第1実施形態では、リアルタイムの発電量)と第1電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、測定手段20の動作状態を切り替える。
 例えば、制御部42は、供給電力量が第1動作開始電力閾値を超える場合に、測定手段20の動作状態をON状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第1動作停止電力閾値を下回る場合に、測定手段20の動作状態をOFF状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第1短縮電力閾値を超える場合に、測定手段20の動作状態を短縮状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第1延長電力閾値を下回る場合に、測定手段20の動作状態を延長状態に切り替える。
 また、制御部42は、供給電力量が第2動作開始電力閾値を超える場合に、通信手段43の動作状態をON状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第2動作停止電力閾値を下回る場合に、通信手段43の動作状態をOFF状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第2短縮電力閾値を超える場合に、通信手段43の動作状態を短縮状態に切り替える。或いは、制御部42は、供給電力量が第2延長電力閾値を下回る場合に、通信手段43の動作状態を延長状態に切り替える。
 通信手段43は、通信デバイス、通信ブロック、通信機などの通信機類である。具体的には、通信手段43は、測定手段20によって測定された情報を計測処理装置80に送信する。上述したように、接続箱40と計測処理装置80との間の通信はPLCによって行われる場合には、通信手段43は、PLCアダプタなどである。
 (測定手段の制御例)
 以下において、第1実施形態に係る測定手段の制御例について説明する。図3は、第1実施形態に係る測定手段20を制御するための回路を示す図である。なお、本図面では「太陽電池10」と図示したが、「太陽電池10」には安定した電圧を供給するための回路となる電源部を含むものとする。
 図3に示すように、制御部42は、Nchトランジスタのゲート及びPchトランジスタのゲートの双方に接続されており、Nchトランジスタのゲート電圧及びPchトランジスタのゲート電圧を同時に制御する。抵抗R1及び抵抗R2の抵抗値は互いに異なっている(例えば、R2≧R1)。
 このようなケースにおいて、Nchトランジスタのゲート電圧及びPchトランジスタのゲート電圧が閾値よりも大きい場合には、NchトランジスタがONであり、PchトランジスタがOFFである。従って、抵抗R1を介して流れる電流が測定手段20に供給される。すなわち、抵抗R1の抵抗値が小さいため、大きい電流が測定手段20に供給される。
 一方で、Nchトランジスタのゲート電圧及びPchトランジスタのゲート電圧が閾値よりも小さい場合には、NchトランジスタがOFFであり、PchトランジスタがONである。従って、抵抗R2を介して流れる電流が測定手段20に供給される。すなわち、抵抗R2の抵抗値が大きい、小さい電流が測定手段20に供給される。
 このように、適切な抵抗値を有する抵抗R1及び抵抗R2を配置することによって、測定手段20を制御することが可能である。
 具体的には、測定手段20の動作状態としては、上述したように、ON状態、OFF、延長状態、短縮状態などが考えられる。いずれの動作状態においても、測定手段20が動作していない期間が存在する。
 このように、測定手段20が動作していない期間であっても、制御部42は、Nchトランジスタのゲート電圧及びPchトランジスタのゲート電圧を制御することによって、所定閾値よりも小さい電流(微小電流)を測定手段20に供給する。これによって、測定手段20の故障を防ぐことができる。
 (動作状態の制御例)
 以下において、第1実施形態に係る動作状態の制御例について説明する。図4は、第1実施形態に係る動作状態の制御例を示す図である。
 ここでは、測定手段20の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。また、通信手段43の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。なお、閾値Aは、第2動作開始電力閾値及び第2動作停止電力閾値であり、閾値Bは、第1動作開始電力閾値及び第1動作停止電力閾値である。
 図4に示すケースでは、供給電力量として、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量が用いられている。
 図4に示すように、時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Bを超えるため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Aを超えるため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Aを下回るため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を停止する。時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Bを下回るため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を停止する。
 (作用及び効果)
 第1実施形態では、制御部42は、太陽電池10から供給される供給電力量(発電量)に基づいて、第1電力閾値及び第2電力閾値を設定する。言い換えると、供給電力量(発電量)と第1電力閾値との比較結果に応じて、測定手段20の動作状態が切り替わる。また、供給電力量(発電量)と第2電力閾値との比較結果に応じて、通信手段43の動作状態が切り替わる。
 従って、測定手段20や通信手段43の電源として太陽電池10を利用する場合に、測定手段20や通信手段43の動作を適切に制御することができる。
 詳細には、供給電力量(発電量)が小さくなった場合に、測定手段20の動作を停止する制御が可能であり、通信手段43の動作を停止する制御が可能である。同様に、供給電力量(発電量)が小さくなった場合に、測定手段20の測定周期を延長する制御が可能であり、通信手段43の送信周期を延長する制御が可能である。
 第1実施形態では、制御部42は、第1動作開始電力閾値として、第2動作開始電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、第1動作停止電力閾値として、第2動作停止電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定する。
 言い換えると、測定手段20の消費電力よりも大きい電力を消費する通信手段43が測定手段20よりも後に動作を開始し、通信手段43が測定手段20よりも先に動作を停止する。従って、大きい電力を消費する通信手段43の動作を安定化することができる。
 第1実施形態では、制御部42は、第1延長電力閾値として、第2延長電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、第1短縮電力閾値として、第2短縮電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定する。
 言い換えると、測定手段20の消費電力よりも大きい電力を消費する通信手段43が測定手段20よりも後に短縮状態を開始し、通信手段43が測定手段20よりも先に短縮状態を停止する。従って、大きい電力を消費する通信手段43の動作を安定化することができる。
 [変更例1]
 以下において、第1実施形態の変更例1について説明する。以下においては、第1実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
 変更例1では、太陽電池によって発電される電力を蓄積する蓄電池がさらに設けられるケースについて例示する。
 具体的には、図5に示すように、接続箱40は、図2に示す構成に加えて、蓄電池44を有する。蓄電池44は、太陽電池10によって発電された電力を蓄積する。
 (動作状態の制御例)
 以下において、変更例1に係る動作状態の制御例について説明する。図6は、変更例1に係る動作状態の制御例を示す図である。
 ここでは、測定手段20の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。また、通信手段43の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。なお、閾値Aは、第2動作開始電力閾値及び第2動作停止電力閾値であり、閾値Bは、第1動作開始電力閾値及び第1動作停止電力閾値である。
 図6に示すケースでは、供給電力量として、蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量が用いられている。
 図6に示すように、時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Bを超えるため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Aを超えるため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Aを下回るため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を停止する。時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Bを下回るため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を停止する。
 (作用及び効果)
 上述したように、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量に代えて、蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量を用いても、第1実施形態と同様の効果が得られる。
 [変更例2]
 以下において、第1実施形態の変更例2について説明する。以下においては、変更例1に対する相違点について主として説明する。
 変更例1では、供給電力量として、蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量が用いられる。これに対して、変更例2では、供給電力量として、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量の双方が用いられる。
 (動作状態の制御例)
 以下において、変更例2に係る動作状態の制御例について説明する。図7は、変更例2に係る動作状態の制御例を示す図である。
 ここでは、測定手段20の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。また、通信手段43の動作状態として、ON状態及びOFF状態が存在するケースについて例示する。なお、閾値Aは、第2動作開始電力閾値及び第2動作停止電力閾値であり、閾値Bは、第1動作開始電力閾値及び第1動作停止電力閾値である。
 図7に示すケースでは、供給電力量として、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量が用いられる。詳細には、第1電力閾値は、蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量と比較される。これに対して、第2電力閾値は、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量と比較される。
 図7に示すように、時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Bを超えるため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Aを超えるため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を開始する。時刻tにおいて、発電量が閾値Aを下回るため、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作を停止する。時刻tにおいて、蓄電量が閾値Bを下回るため、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作を停止する。
 (作用及び効果)
 上述したように、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量の双方を用いても、第1実施形態と同様の効果が得られる。
 変更例2では、制御部42は、第1電力閾値と蓄電量との比較結果に基づいて、測定手段20の動作状態を切り替え、制御部42は、第2電力閾値と発電量との比較結果に基づいて、通信手段43の動作状態を切り替える。
 このように、測定手段20の消費電力よりも大きい電力を消費する通信手段43の動作状態は、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量に基づいて制御される。従って、電力が安定した状態で通信手段43が動作するため、従って、大きい電力を消費する通信手段43の動作を安定化することができる。
 [変更例3]
 以下において、第1実施形態の変更例3について説明する。以下においては、第1実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
 変更例3では、測定手段によって測定された情報を格納するメモリがさらに設けられるケースについて例示する。
 具体的には、図8に示すように、接続箱40は、図2に示す構成に加えて、メモリ45を有する。メモリ45は、測定手段20によって測定された情報を格納する。
 例えば、メモリ45は、測定手段20が動作しており、通信手段43が動作していない期間(例えば、夜間)などにおいて、測定手段20によって測定された情報を格納する。なお、通信手段43は、通信手段43の動作が行われる際に、メモリ45に格納された情報を計測処理装置80に送信する。
 従って、リアルタイムに情報を計測処理装置80に送信することができない期間において測定手段20によって測定された情報を計測処理装置80に伝達することが可能である。
 [変更例4]
 以下において、第1実施形態の変更例4について説明する。以下においては、第1実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
 変更例4では、測定手段及び通信手段の電源として利用可能な補助的太陽電池がさらに設けられるケースについて例示する。
 具体的には、図9に示すように、測定手段20及び通信手段43の電源として利用可能な補助的太陽電池200が設けられている。補助的太陽電池200は、測定手段20及び通信手段43に接続されており、PCS50には接続されていない。言い換えると、補助的太陽電池200は、測定手段20及び通信手段43の電源として専用で利用される。
 なお、補助的太陽電池200の発電能力は、太陽電池10の発電能力よりも低くてもよい。すなわち、補助的太陽電池200は、太陽電池10よりも小型であってもよい。
 (作用及び効果)
 変更例4では、測定手段20及び通信手段43の電源として専用で利用する補助的太陽電池200が設けられる。従って、PCS50に供給すべき電力量に左右されずに、測定手段20及び通信手段43に対して安定的に電力を供給することができる。
 [変更例5]
 以下において、第1実施形態の変更例5について説明する。以下においては、第1実施形態に対する相違点について主として説明する。
 変更例5では、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報(以下、第1状態フラグ)を計測処理装置80に送信するように通信手段43を制御する。或いは、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報(以下、第2状態フラグ)を計測処理装置80に送信するように通信手段43を制御する。
 例えば、第1状態フラグは、1ビットで構成される。このようなケースでは、測定手段20がON状態からOFF状態に切り替わる場合に、“0”がセットされた第1状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。一方で、測定手段20がOFF状態からON状態に切り替わる場合に、“1”がセットされた第1状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。或いは、測定手段20が短縮状態から延長状態に切り替わる場合に、“0”がセットされた第1状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。一方で、測定手段20が延長状態から短縮状態に切り替わる場合に、“1”がセットされた第1状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。
 例えば、第2状態フラグは、1ビットで構成される。このようなケースでは、通信手段43がON状態からOFF状態に切り替わる場合に、“0”がセットされた第2状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。一方で、通信手段43がOFF状態からON状態に切り替わる場合に、“1”がセットされた第2状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。或いは、通信手段43が短縮状態から延長状態に切り替わる場合に、“0”がセットされた第2状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。一方で、通信手段43が延長状態から短縮状態に切り替わった場合に、“1”がセットされた第2状態フラグが計測処理装置80に送信される。
 なお、制御部42は、第1状態フラグのみを送信するように通信手段43を制御してもよい。制御部42は、第2状態フラグのみを送信するように通信手段43を制御してもよい。制御部42は、第1状態フラグ及び第2状態フラグの双方を送信するように通信手段43を制御してもよい。
 また、第1状態フラグを送信するタイミングは、測定手段20の状態が切り替わるタイミングよりも後であってもよい。或いは、第1状態フラグを送信するタイミングは、測定手段20の状態が切り替わるタイミングよりも前であってもよい。
 同様に、第2状態フラグを送信するタイミングは、通信手段43の状態が切り替わるタイミングよりも後であってもよい。或いは、第2状態フラグを送信するタイミングは、通信手段43の状態が切り替わるタイミングよりも前であってもよい。
 但し、通信手段43がON状態からOFF状態に切り変わる場合には、ON状態からOFF状態に切り変わるタイミングよりも前に第2状態フラグが送信されることが好ましい。また、通信手段43がOFF状態からON状態に切り変わる場合には、OFF状態からON状態に切り変わるタイミングよりも後に第2状態フラグが送信されることが好ましい。
 (作用及び効果)
 変更例5では、制御部42は、測定手段20の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報(第1状態フラグ)を計測処理装置80に送信するように通信手段43を制御する。或いは、制御部42は、通信手段43の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報(第2状態フラグ)を計測処理装置80に送信するように通信手段43を制御する。
 従って、計測処理装置80は、屋外に設けられた測定手段20や通信手段43(接続箱40)で異常が生じたか否かを判断することが可能である。詳細には、予定された時刻の情報が測定手段20によって測定されていない場合には、測定手段20に異常が生じたと判断することができる。また、予定された時刻に情報が受信されなかった場合に、通信手段43(接続箱40)に異常が生じたと判断することができる。或いは、予定された時刻に情報が受信されなかった場合に、有線や無線などの通信線に異常が生じたと判断することができる。
 [その他の実施形態]
 本発明は上述した実施形態によって説明したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面は、この発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなろう。
 実施形態では、計測処理装置80と通信を行う回路群を収容する接続箱40は、接続箱40のみであるケースについて例示した。しかしながら、実施形態は、これに限定されるものではない。接続箱40以外の接続箱40が計測処理装置80と通信を行う回路群を収容していてもよい。
 実施形態では特に触れていないが、供給電力量として、太陽電池10によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び蓄電池44に蓄積される蓄電量の合計が用いられてもよい。
 また、上述した実施形態では、所定閾値を下回る場合に、測定手段20や通信手段43の動作を停止したり、測定周期や送信周期を延長したりすることで、消費電力を抑える場合について説明したが、図3に開示された回路を用いることで、測定手段20や通信手段43に供給する電流を小さくするようにしてもよい。
 なお、日本国特許出願第2011-067987号(2011年3月25日出願)の全内容が、参照により、本願明細書に組み込まれている。
 本発明によれば、測定手段や通信手段の電源として電力供給手段を利用する場合に、測定手段や通信手段の動作を適切に制御することを可能とする電力管理システムを提供することができる。
 

Claims (20)

  1.  電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える電力管理システムであって、
     前記測定手段及び前記通信手段を制御する制御部を備え、
     前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として、前記電力供給手段が利用されており、
     前記制御部は、前記電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定し、
     前記制御部は、前記供給電力量と前記第1電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替え、前記供給電力量と前記第2電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えることを特徴とする電力管理システム。
  2.  前記電力供給手段として、太陽電池が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  3.  前記第2電力閾値が前記第1電力閾値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  4.  前記第1電力閾値は、前記測定手段の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作開始電力閾値及び前記測定手段の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作停止電力閾値であり、
     前記第2電力閾値は、前記通信手段の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作開始電力閾値及び前記通信手段の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作停止電力閾値であり、
     前記制御部は、
     前記第1動作開始電力閾値として、前記第2動作開始電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、
     前記第1動作停止電力閾値として、前記第2動作停止電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  5.  前記制御部は、前記供給電力量として、前記電力供給手段によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  6.  前記電力供給手段によって発電される電力を蓄積する蓄電池をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、前記供給電力量として、前記蓄電池に蓄積される蓄電量を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  7.  前記電力供給手段によって発電される電力を蓄積する蓄電池をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、前記供給電力量として、前記電力供給手段によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び前記蓄電池に蓄積される蓄電量を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  8.  前記第1電力閾値は、前記測定手段の測定周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第1延長電力閾値及び前記測定手段の測定周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第1短縮電力閾値であり、
     前記第2電力閾値は、前記通信手段の送信周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第2延長電力閾値及び前記通信手段の送信周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第2短縮電力閾値であり、
     前記制御部は、
     前記第1延長電力閾値として、前記第2延長電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定し、
     前記第1短縮電力閾値として、前記第2短縮電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  9.  前記制御部は、前記測定手段が動作しない期間において、所定閾値よりも小さい電流を前記測定手段に供給することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電力管理システム。
  10.  前記制御部は、前記測定手段が動作しない期間において、所定閾値よりも小さい電流を前記測定手段に供給することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電力管理システム。
  11.  前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として利用可能な補助的太陽電池をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、前記供給電力量として、前記補助的太陽電池から供給される電力量を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電力管理システム。
  12.  前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として利用可能な補助的太陽電池をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、前記供給電力量として、前記補助的太陽電池から供給される電力量を用いることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電力管理システム。
  13.  電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える電力管理システムであって、
     前記測定手段及び前記通信手段を制御する制御部を備え、
     前記制御部は、前記測定手段の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報、或いは、前記通信手段の動作状態の切り替わりを示す情報を送信するように、前記通信手段を制御することを特徴とする電力管理システム。
  14.  電力供給手段と、前記電力供給手段の発電環境を測定する測定手段と、前記測定手段によって測定された情報を送信する通信手段とを備える電力管理システムで用いる電力管理方法であって、
     前記測定手段及び前記通信手段の電源として、前記電力供給手段が利用されており、
     前記電力供給手段から供給される供給電力量に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第1電力閾値、及び、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるか否かの判定に用いる第2電力閾値を設定するステップと、
     前記供給電力量と前記第1電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記測定手段の動作状態を切り替え、前記供給電力量と前記第2電力閾値との比較結果に基づいて、前記通信手段の動作状態を切り替えるステップとを備えることを特徴とする電力管理方法。
  15.  前記電力供給手段として、太陽電池が設けられることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電力管理方法。
  16.  前記第2電力閾値が前記第1電力閾値よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電力管理方法。
  17.  前記第1電力閾値は、前記測定手段の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作開始電力閾値及び前記測定手段の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第1動作停止電力閾値であり、
     前記第2電力閾値は、前記通信手段の動作を開始するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作開始電力閾値及び前記通信手段の動作を停止するか否かの判定に用いる第2動作停止電力閾値であり、
     前記第1動作開始電力閾値として、前記第2動作開始電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定するステップと、
     前記第1動作停止電力閾値として、前記第2動作停止電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定するステップとを備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電力管理方法。
  18.  前記電力供給手段によって発電される電力を蓄積する蓄電池が設けられており、
     前記供給電力量として、前記蓄電池に蓄積される蓄電量を用いるステップを備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電力管理方法。
  19.  前記電力供給手段によって発電される電力を蓄積する蓄電池が設けられており、
     前記供給電力量として、前記電力供給手段によって発電されるリアルタイムの発電量及び前記蓄電池に蓄積される蓄電量を用いるステップを備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の電力管理方法。
  20.  前記第1電力閾値は、前記測定手段の測定周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第1延長電力閾値及び前記測定手段の測定周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第1短縮電力閾値であり、
     前記第2電力閾値は、前記通信手段の送信周期を延長するか否かの判定に用いる第2延長電力閾値及び前記通信手段の送信周期を短縮するか否かの判定に用いる第2短縮電力閾値であり、
     前記第1延長電力閾値として、前記第2延長電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定するステップと、
     前記第1短縮電力閾値として、前記第2短縮電力閾値よりも低い閾値を設定するステップとを備えることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の電力管理方法。
