Abstract

L'axe lent en plan de la première plaque λ/4 forme un angle sensiblement de 45° par rapport à l'axe d'absorption du premier polariseur. L'axe lent en plan de la seconde plaque λ/4 est sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe lent en plan de la première plaque λ/4. L'axe d'absorption du second polariseur est sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe d'absorption du premier polariseur. L'axe lent en plan de la première couche biréfringente de second type est sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe d'absorption du premier polariseur. L'axe lent en plan de la seconde couche biréfringente de second type est sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe d'absorption du second polariseur. Les molécules de cristaux liquides dans une couche de cristaux liquides sont orientées sensiblement de façon verticale à une surface de substrat. Ainsi, un affichage noir est réalisé.
