Abstract

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing fenofibrate as an active ingredient for the prevention of sepsis, wherein the fenofibrate has been used as a hyperlipidemia therapeutic agent. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention is useful for the prevention of sepsis by suppressing the secretion of cytokine by sepsis and remarkably increasing survival rates.
