Abstract

Method and apparatus (10) by means of which it is possible to make an underpass (11) of a railway line (12) with two or more tracks (13, 14), without having to interrupt, at the same time, the circulation of trains (T) on all the tracks of the railway line and without having to remove the tracks, even temporarily. The apparatus (10) comprises a frame (30), provided with front arms (33, 35), which is initially rested on only one pair of vertical structures (16, 17) disposed on one side of the railway line (12), and then thrust gradually under the railway line (12) until it rests on a second pair of vertical structures (18, 19) disposed on the other side of the railway line (12).
