Abstract

L'invention comprend : - un dispositif de traitement sans fil portable (1) pour envoyer, à un point d'accès sans fil (2), des premiers signaux RF contenant des données de commande destinées à commander un ou plusieurs appareils (4a, 4b) comprenant des récepteurs IR respectifs; - un point d'accès sans fil (2) pour recevoir lesdits premiers signaux RF et générer à partir de ceux-ci des seconds signaux RF contenant des données de commande et les envoyer à un émetteur-récepteur RF-IR; et - un émetteur-récepteur RF-IR (3) pour recevoir lesdits seconds signaux RF, générer des signaux d'instruction IR à partir de ceux-ci et envoyer lesdits signaux d'instruction IR au récepteur IR d'un ou plusieurs des appareils (4a, 4b) de manière à les commander. Le point d'accès sans fil (2) est un dispositif informatique gestionnaire ayant accès à une base de données de fabricant de codes IR mis à jour à distance (5) pour télécharger des codes IR mis à jour et pour les utiliser par inclusion de ceux-ci dans lesdits seconds signaux RF.
