Abstract
The invention relates to a lighting device of the "increased safety" ignition protection type which comprises at least one fluorescent lamp (2) and at least one plug-on apparatus for being plugged onto one end of the at least one fluorescent lamp (2), wherein the plug-on apparatus has a longitudinal axis (L) and comprises a first sleeve (12), said plug-on apparatus being characterized in that the first sleeve (12) has a first region (16) with a first diameter (d) and has a second region (18) which is arranged next to the first region (16) in the axial direction relative to the longitudinal axis (L) and has a second diameter (D), wherein the first diameter (d) is smaller than the second diameter (D) at least in a state in which the sleeve (12) is plugged onto the end of the fluorescent lamp (2), wherein the extent of the second region (18) of the sleeve (12) in the axial direction relative to the longitudinal axis (L) is defined such that one region of a filament of the fluorescent lamp (2) is surrounded.
