L'invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de commuter entre des configurations de sous-trame d'une liaison terrestre dans un système de duplexage par répartition dans le temps. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : sélectionner et déterminer par le côté réseau une configuration de sous-trame cible d'une liaison terrestre selon des facteurs influençant la configuration de sous-trame cible de la liaison terrestre, et la notifier à un nœud relais (RN) ; commuter par le nœud relais depuis la configuration de sous-trame initiale couramment utilisée de la liaison terrestre vers la configuration de sous-trame cible de la liaison terrestre selon la configuration de sous-trame cible de la liaison terrestre sélectionnée et déterminée par le côté réseau. Grâce à la présente invention, le problème de sélection et de commutation vers une configuration de sous-trame cible appropriée pour la configuration de sous-trame de la liaison terrestre est résolu.
