Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système d'échappement de véhicule pour un moteur possédant une pluralité de chambres de combustion. Ledit système comprend un premier dispositif de traitement d'émission, un second dispositif de traitement d'émission, et un boîtier définissant un premier passage d'échappement en communication fluidique avec les chambres de combustion et contenant ledit premier dispositif de traitement d'émission. Un second passage d'échappement parallèle se trouve en communication fluidique avec les chambres de combustion et contient ledit second dispositif de traitement d'émission. Les premier et second passages possèdent une paroi commune présentant une forme de serpentin telle que la zone transversale des passages varie dans une direction du flux d'échappement. Le premier dispositif de traitement d'émission est positionné à un emplacement de zone transversale accrue dans le premier passage, et le second dispositif de traitement d'émission est positionné à un emplacement décalé axialement d'une zone transversale dans le second passage.
