Abstract
The invention relates to an arrangement for deicing a surface region (24) of an aircraft (10c) by irradiating the surface region (24) by means of laser radiation, wherein said arrangement uses laser radiation (30) of a wavelength of less than 900 nm, which is polarized (34) parallel to the plane of incidence of the radiation (30). Thus the efficiency of the energy conversion can be improved, and therefore smaller and lighter deicing systems can be used.
