[0051] Referring back to the figures, a trash can 5 is provided and may have a rectangular shape or another shape. It has an upper cover 1 that may be lifted or rotated such as to expose the interior space of the trash can 5. The trash can 5 can be regarded as an outer housing that may include a container and one or more garbage bags.
[0052] The interior space of the trash can include a container 9. The container 9 can store closed garbage bags and can support an open garbage bag that is used to contain garbage. The container 9 has rails 14 on which the closed garbage bags can be hung and includes anchoring elements 8a and 8b that can support an open garbage bag.
[0053] The rear anchoring elements 82 can be integrated with a front end of the rails 14 (for example- the rails can end by an upward projection of a curved upper end that may be used to support and hold an open garbage bag. Additionally or alternatively, the rails 14 can be separated from the rear anchoring elements. The number of the anchoring elements can differ from the number of rails. The number and shape of the rails can differ from two.
[0054] The various figures illustrate four anchoring elements that are arranged in two pairs- a pair of front anchoring elements 8a and a pair of rear anchoring elements 8b. These anchoring elements are illustrated as being shaped as curved hooks, and are illustrated as being arranged to form an imaginary rectangle. It is noted that the number of anchoring elements can differ from four and that the anchoring elements can form an imaginary shape (for example a trapezoid) that differs from an imaginary rectangle.
[0055] When the garbage bag is opened and is supported by the anchoring elements 8a and 8b is may touch or be proximate to the sidewalls 9a and 9b of the container 9. These sidewalls can include one or more openings (such as openings 7) that prevent a formation of vacuum along the entire sidewalls of the container. These openings are illustrated as having a rectangular shape and having a height of about one third of the height of the sidewalls of the containers. It is noted that the number of openings per sidewall can be two, can be one or can exceed two, and that the shape of the openings
can differ from a rectangular shape. The size of the openings can be smaller or bigger than those illustrated in the figures.
[0056] New garbage bags can be inserted into the rails by the following stages:
[0057] Exposing the rails by lifting the upper cover 1 of the trash can or by moving the container 9 to an open position - in which the rear end of the container 9 is distant from the rear end of the trash can 5.
[0058] Threading the new garbage bags on the rails 14 - inserting the rails through the garbage bag openings.
[0059] Placing the garbage can in a closed position- closing the upper cover 1 and additionally or alternatively inserting the container 9 into the garbage can 5.
[0060] A garbage bag can be opened (for use) by the following stages:
[0061] Exposing the rails by lifting the upper cover 1 of the trash can or by moving the container 9 to an open position - in which the rear end of the container 9 is distant from the rear end of the trash can 5.
[0062] Taking a garbage bags from the rails (the front most garbage bag) and placing the garbage bag on the anchoring elements 8a and 8b - thereby providing an open garbage bag that is supported by anchoring elements 8a and 8b.
[0063] Garbage can be inserted into the open garbage can by the following stages:
[0064] Exposing the open garbage bag by lifting the upper cover 1 of the trash can or by moving the container 9 to an open position - in which the rear end of the container 9 is distant from the rear end of the trash can 5.
[0065] Inserting the garbage into the open garbage bag.
[0066] A garbage bag can be removed (after being used) by the following stages:
[0067] Exposing the open garbage bag by lifting the upper cover 1 of the trash can or by moving the container 9 to an open position - in which the rear end of the container 9 is distant from the rear end of the trash can 5.
[0068] Removing the garbage bag from the anchoring elements.
[0069] It is noted that the removal of a used garbage bag can be followed by taking a baggage bag from the rails and placing it on the anchoring elements while the trash can is in an open position.
[0070] The container 9 can loosely move within the garbage can 5 although is can move on rails (not shown) or other intermediate mechanical elements that may interface between the container and the garbage can. Figures 13 and 14 illustrate the
container as being supported by wheels 22 (for example- two wheels per each sidewall).
[0071] The container 9 can be arranged to exit in its entirety the space defined by the trash can 5 but can partially located within such space even when the trash can 5 is in an open position. The container may slide in and out of the garbage can 5 but this is no necessarily so.
