Description

NECK PROTECTOR THAT CAN BE ASSEMBLED IN THE HEADREST PARTS
OF CAR SEATS
TECHNICAL AREA
The present invention is about a nect protector that can be assembled in the headrest parts of driver's and passenger's seats of motor vehicles to use during a first aid intervention when necessary.
PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE
The headrest part of seats of vehicles (automobile, bus, truck, etc.) has been designed to facilitate people's getting support and resting by leaning their heads and necks during long journeys after long periods of time. However, although haedrest parts of vehicle seats have been developed with many different designs, they have never achieved to meet desired needs and led people to find different solutions. For this reason, individually people have felt the necessity of carrying various separate apparatuses and tools such as pillows and neck-rests.
Due to the fact that the vehicle use has increased and become an essential part of life, unfortunately, accidents have become indispensable as well. Many vehicle accidents result in various injuries, even deaths. Although vehicle producing firms use latest technology, they are unable to prevent accidents and injuries. In cases faced as a result of these accidents, the first aid provided by people becomes very important. However, people's being insufficiently knowledgeable about first aid, behaving wrongly, and attempting to take people out of vehicles hastily, insensibly and carelessly and to take them hospital may lead to permanent illnesses and impairments continuing lifetime. The main reason for this is not taking people's necks through which all the nerves pass under protection when being taken out of vehicles and treating them insensibly and carelessly. That people usually ignore the procedure of taking the injured' s neck under protection, which is the first thing performed by ambulance health teams, or do not keep the necessary equipment in hand leads to the inability of taking people's necks under protection.
In concluson, all the above-mentioned problems have made it necessary to make an invention in the related area.
A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is related to a neck protector that can be assembled in the headrest parts of vehicles, removes all the above-mentioned disadvantages and also provides some additional advantages to the related technical area.
The aim of the invention is to present a neck protector that can be easily disassembled from the headrest parts of vehicle seats and helps to take people's necks under protection by encompassing their necks during a vehicle accident and to take them to hospital safely. Another aim of this invention is to present a neck protector that can be assembled in a way that it will suit to headrest parts of vehicle seats, not damage the ergonomy and structure of headrest parts, and give an impression that as if there is no additional part by becoming integrated with it.
The present invention devised to achieve the mentioned main aim is an invention that can be assembled in the headrest parts of vehicle seats such as automobile, bus and lorry and was designed in accordance with the related standards to take people's necks under protection during first aid interventions, and its feature is that it includes a support section protecting neck, side arms and back arm connected with the support section and helping to wrap the head protector around the neckrest, and footing surfaces connected with these mentioned arms and helping the head protector to stay fixed on headrests.
A feature of a preferred structuring of the invention is that its length can change according to seat headrest size and it includes side arms and back arm.
Another feature of a preferred stmcturing of the invention is that its footing surfaces were produced from hook and loop.
Another feature of a preferred structuring of the invention is that its footing surfaces can be produced from button, clip or hook and loop.
Another feature of a preferred stracturing of the invention is that headrests assembled in vehicle seats include a hole where the mentioned head protector can settle in.
Another feature of a preferred structuring of the invention is that headrests assembled in vehicle seats include footing surfaces were the head protector can fasten on.
Another feature of a preferred structuring of the invention is that footing surfaces assembled in the headrests of vehicle seats are produced from hook and loop, button, clip or snap fastener. The structural and characteristic properties and all advantages of the invention will be understood more clearly thanks to the figures given below and the written explanation made by referring to these figures, and for this reason, it is necessary to make the evaluation by considering these figures and the detailed explanation as well.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed explanation, the invented head protector is explained just to make the matter understood better through examples which are not likely to produce any restrciting effects. According to this, in the following presentation and pictures, it has been assumed that with the invention it is meant a head protector assembled in the headrest parts of vehicle seats to use in cases of emergency. However, with various changes, the invention can be used for different purposes.
In Figure 1, the overall view of the invented head protector can be seen. According to this, the invented head protector, in its braodest sense, is composed of a support section taking neck area under protection (10), side arms connected with the mentioned support section (10) and helping to wrap it around headrests of vehicle seats (20, 21), and back arm (22). The invention is composed of two touching surfaces, namely an inner surface present on the head protector and being in touch with the headrest of a seat (30) and an outher surface touching people's neck and head areas (40). The mentioned support section (10) is produced from sponge material in accordance with the related standards to take people's neck area under protection and prevent any likely damage to this area. The side arms (20, 21) connected with the mentioned support section (10) wrap the headrest part by extending horizontally from the support section (10). The side arms (20, 21) extending opposite one another in an angle of 180° are of equal length. The mentioned back arm (22) extends vertically with an angle of 90° from the support section (10) and reaches the back part of seat headrest. The tips of side arms (20, 21) and back arm (22) combine with one another on the back part of seat headrest at the same point so as to come over one another.
There is a footing surface (221) connected with the mentioned back arm (22). The footing surface (221) was situated on the outer surface of the head protector (40) on the tip of the back arm (22). Similarly, there are sticking surfaces (201, 211) connected with the side arms (20, 21). The footing surfaces (201, 211) were situated on the tips of the side arms (20, 21) and the inner surface of the head protector (30). When the mentioned side arms (20, 21) and the back arm (22) gather on a point on the back part of the seat headrest, the footing surfaces (201, 211, 221) come together and helps the head protector stay fixed on the headrest of vehicle seat. Fixing procedure is performed through sticking the footing surfaces (201, 211) connected with the side arms (20, 21) on the footing surface (221) connected with the back arm (22).
Alternatively, instead of sponge present in the support section (10) of the head protector, a different kind of material can be used as a protective material wrapped around neck. Also by ergonomically changing the structure of the support section (10), a new structure can be produced to use in normal times during journeys as a support to people's neck and head areas so as to have them relaxed as well. The coating material constituting the outer surface (40) of the head protector can change according to the manufacturing structure of seats such as fabric or leather. The footing surfaces (201, 211, 221) present on the arms of the head protector (20, 21, 22) can be produced from different materials such as hook and loop or button.
The protection coverage of the invention was specified in the attached demands and can never be limited to those mentioned in this detailed presentation with the aim of exemplifying. For it is evident that a person specialized in technique can put forward similar constructs under the light of those mentioned above by sticking to the main theme of the invention.
