Abstract

본 발명은 디지털 방송 시스템에서 방송 신호를 송수신하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 의한 방송 신호를 송신하는 방법은, 메인 데이터를 이용하여 메인 신호를 생성하는 단계, 복수의 부가 데이터를 이용하여, 메인 신호보다 낮은 전력을 갖는 부가 신호를 생성하는 단계, 부가 신호 및 프레임 헤더를 이용하여 부가 신호 프레임을 생성하는 단계 및 메인 신호 및 부가 신호 프레임을 이용하여 방송 신호를 생성하는 단계를 포함하고, 프레임 헤더는 부가 신호 프레임으로부터 복수의 부가 데이터를 선택적으로 추출하는데 사용된다. 본 발명에 따르면 기존의 디지털 방송시스템과 호환성을 유지하면서 부가데이터를 효율적으로 전송할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
