Abstract
A warming moxibustion rod comprises a head (1-6), a connecting component (7-12), an outer tube (13), an inner tube (14), a means (20) for pushing and positioning a moxa stick, and a cover (19). The means (20) includes an elastic positioning sheet (25) which is abutted against an inner wall of the inner tube (14) to locate the moxa stick clipped by a clip (22). The warming moxibustion rod is simple in structure, it is difficult for the moxa stick to fall off the clip (22), and it is convenient to replace the moxa stick.
Description
WARMING MOXIBUSTION ROD
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a moxibustion device, and more particularly to a warming moxibustion rod which accomodates an ignited moxa stick, and the heat and smell transmitted from the ignited moxa stick is used to cure diseases and accelerates blood circle.
Description of the Prior Art
A conventional warming moxibustion rod, having a structure shown in FIGs 1-2, is commonly used (see CN-A-101439001).
As shown in FIG. 2, the conventional warming moxibustion rod comprises a head (101-106), a connecting component (201-205, 3), an outer tube 4, an inner tube 5, a device (601,602,701-710, 8) for pushing and positioning a moxa stick, and a cover 9, wherein a lower end of the moxa stick is clipped by a clip 602, and the upper end of the moxa stick is positioned in the head. The upper end of the moxa stick is fired to generate heat and specific smell. The heat and the smell is transmitted to skins or acupoints of body through holes on the head in order to cure various diseases. During the burning of the moxa stick, the moxa stick clipped by the clip 602 is constantly pushed upward to always keep the upper end of the moxa stick being in the head.
In the above conventional warming moxibustion rod, however, the device for pushing and positioning the moxa stick is complex in structure, both the failure rate and the cost is high. Furthermore, it is possible that the moxa stick falls out the clip, and it is inconvenient to replace the moxa stick.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the invention is to provide a warming moxibustion rod which can provide a simple structure by which the failure rate and the cost is reduced.
According to an aspect of the present invention, a warming moxibustion rod comprises a head, a connecting component, an outer tube, an inner tube, a means for pushing and positioning a moxa stick, and a cover, wherein the means includes: a clip for clipping the moxa stick, which has a central throughhole; a front rod; a middle rod, the upper end of which is connected to the clip, and which has a central throughhole comprising a first throughhole with a first diameter and a second throughhole with a second diameter, and the second diameter is larger than the first diameter; a spring; a rear rod; an elastic positioning piece; and a driving button, wherein the driving button is connected to the middle rod, the spring is housed in the second throughhole, the front rod passes through the throughhole of the clip, the first throughhole and the throughhole of the spring in turn, and is connected to the upper end of the rear rod, the elastic positioning piece is connected to the middle rod, and abuts against the inner wall of the inner tube to position the middle rod and the clip.
In the warming moxibustion rod of the above construction, the middle rod may be pushed downward until the rear rod abuts against the cover, the spring is then compressed, the front rod is pushed upward, the expanded portion pushes the moxa stick out of the clip. Further, the warming moxibustion rod of the above construction is simpler, less cost and less failure.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the elastic positioning piece has a central throughhole through which the driving button may pass, and is connected to the middle rod via the driving button.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the elastic positioning pieces are symmetrically mounted on the both sides of the middle rod.
According to another aspect of the present invention, a barb for fixing the moxa stick is mounted on the inner surface of the clip. Obviously, it is difficult that the moxa stick falls out the clip.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the front rod is threadedly connected with the rear rod.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the elastic positioning piece is made of metal material.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the elastic positioning piece is round in shape.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the warming moxibustion rod also includes a magnetic roller ball connected with the cover.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the front rod has an expanded portion at the upper end.

Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment
One preferred embodiment of a warming moxibustion rod of the invention will now be described in detail with reference to FIGs. 3-5. FIG. 3 is a front elevational view of a warming moxibustion rod according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is an exploded view of the warming moxibustion rod in FIG. 3, and FIG. 5 is an exploded view of a means for pushing and positioning a moxa stick in FIG. 4.
As shown in FIGs. 3-5, the warming moxibustion rod of this embodiment comprises: a head 1-6, a connecting component 7-12, an outer tube 13, an inner tube 14, a means 20 for pushing and positioning a moxa stick, and a cover 19. In present invention, only the means 20 for pushing and positioning the moxa stick is improved, the details of other parts are for example disclosed in CN-A-101439001, CN-A- 101632620, CN- A- 101664366, CN-A- 101664365, which are incorporated herein by reference.
Generally, a magnetic ring 9 and a bearing 10 are mounted in a casing 8. A clamp 11 is used to fix the outer race of the bearing 10 on the inner wall of the casing 8. The inner
race of the bearing 10 is fixed to a hollow connector 12 by a hollow screw 7 which passes through the magnetic ring 9. The hollow connector 12 is connected to the upper end of the outer tube 13.
A magnetic ring 2 is mounted on the top of a sleeve 4 by a retainer ring 3 and a hollow screw cap 1. A magnetic ring 5 is fixed on the inner wall of the lower end of the sleeve 4 by a clamp 6. The assembled connecting component may be inserted into the sleeve 4 and abut against the bottom surface of the magnetic ring 5, and is fixed in the sleeve 4 through the magnetic force between the magnetic rings 5, 9. The head may rotate relative to the outer tube 13 by the bearing 10. As shown in FIG. 3, bayonets 17 for locking a driving button 24 are formed at the upper portion and the bottom of the guiding groove 16.
The means 20 for pushing and positioning the moxa stick of this embodiment will be explained in detail hereinafter.
As shown in FIG. 5, the means 20 includes: a clip 22 for clipping a moxa stick, which has a central throughhole; a front rod 21, which has an expanded portion at the upper end; a middle rod 23, the upper end of which is connected to the clip 22, and which has a central throughhole comprising a first throughhole 30 with a first diameter d and a second throughhole 29 with a second diameter D, and the second diameter D is larger than the first diameter d; a spring 27; a rear rod 28; an elastic positioning piece 25; and a driving button 24, wherein the driving button 24 is connected to the middle rod 23, the spring 27 is housed in the second throughhole 29, the front rod 21 passes through the throughhole of the clip 22, the first throughhole 30 and the throughhole of the spring 27 in turn, and is connected to the upper end of the rear rod 28, the elastic positioning piece 25 with a central throughhole is connected to the middle rod 23 via the driving button 24, and abuts against the inner wall of the inner tube 14 to position the middle rod 23 and the clip 22. The driving button 24 passes through the central throughhole of the elastic positioning piece 25, and is connected to the middle rod 23 at a connection point 26.
Perfectly, the clip 22 is threadedly connected to the upper end of the middle rod 23. Since the diameter of the first throughhole 30 is smaller than that of the second throughhole 29, a shoulder is formed between them. The top end of the spring 27 abuts against the shoulder, so that the spring 27 can't enter the first throughhole 30. The bottom
of the spring 27 abuts against the upper end of the rear rod 28. Perfectly, a protruding shoulder inserted into the central throughhole of the spring 27 is formed at the upper end of the rear rod 28.
During usage of the warming moxibustion rod, the middle rod 23, the clip 22 and the moxa stick clipped by the clip 22 may be pushed downward or upward through the driving button 24 along the guiding grooves 15, 16 of the inner tube 14 and the outer tube 13, so that the top end of the moxa stick may be maintained in the head. Furthermore, the middle rod 23, the clip 22 and the moxa stick are positioned through the friction force between the elastic positioning piece 25 and the inner wall of the inner tube 14. In addition, the middle rod 23 may be pushed downward through the driving button 24 until the rear rod 28 abuts against the cover 19, the spring 27 is then compressed, the front rod 21 is pushed upward, the expanded portion pushes the moxa stick out of the clip 22. Obviously, it is more convenient to replace the moxa stick.
Perfectly, a barb (not shown) for fixing the moxa stick is mounted on the inner surface of the clip 22. Obviously, it is difficult that the moxa stick falls out the clip 22. Perfectly, the front rod 21 is threadedly connected with the rear rod 28. Perfectly, the elastic positioning piece 25 is made of metal material, such as stainless steel. The shape of the elastic positioning piece 25 may be round, square etc.. The thickness of the elastic positioning piece 25 is perfectly selected from the range of l-5mm.
As shown in FIGs.3-4, the warming moxibustion rod further includes a magnetic roller ball 18 perfectly. The magnetic roller ball 18 is connected with the cover 19. The cover 19 has a throughhole which accommodates a portion of the roller ball 18. The roller ball 18 may be used to massage skins and acupoints. Alternatively, the roller ball 18 may be omitted and the outer tube 13 is sealed by a cover 19 without a throughhole.
Perfectly, two or more elastic positioning pieces 25 are symmetrically mounted on the both sides of the middle rod 23, and the above-mentioned elastic positioning pieces 25 fixed by the driving button 24 may be selectively omitted or retained.
The warming moxibustion rod of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and the material, shape, dimensions, etc. of the moxibustion rod are not limited. The moxa stick mentioned in the present invention is made of wormwood or other well-known materials. It is understood that various modifications may be made by
those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.
Claims
1. A warming moxibustion rod comprises a head (1-6), a connecting component (7-12), an outer tube (13), an inner tube (14), a means (20) for pushing and positioning a moxa stick, and a cover (19), characterized in that the means (20) includes:
a clip (22) for clipping a moxa stick, which has a central throughhole;
a front rod (21);
a middle rod (23), the upper end of which is connected to the clip (22), and which has a central throughhole (29,30) comprising a first throughhole (30)with a first diameter and a second throughhole (29) with a second diameter, and the second diameter is larger than the first diameter;
a spring (27);
a rear rod(28);
an elastic positioning piece (25); and
a driving button (24), which is connected to the middle rod(23);
wherein the spring (27) is housed in the second throughhole (29), the front rod (21) passes through the throughhole of the clip (22), the first throughhole (30) and the throughhole of the spring (27) in turn, and is connected to the upper end of the rear rod (28), the elastic positioning piece (25) is connected to the middle rod (23), and abuts against the inner wall of the inner tube (14) to position the middle rod (23) and the clip (22).
2. The warming moxibustion rod according to claim 1, characterized in that the elastic positioning piece (25) has a central throughhole through which the driving button (24) may pass, and is connected to the middle rod (23) via the driving button (24).
3. The warming moxibustion rod according to claim 1, characterized in that the elastic positioning pieces (25) are symmetrically mounted on the both sides of the middle rod (23).
4. The warming moxibustion rod according to any preceding claims 1-3, characterized in that a barb for fixing the moxa stick is mounted on the inner surface of the clip (22).
5. The warming moxibustion rod according to any preceding claims 1-3, characterized in that the front rod (21) is threadedly connected with the rear rod (28).
6. The warming moxibustion rod according to any preceding claims 1-3, characterized in that the elastic positioning piece (25) is made of metal material.

8. The warming moxibustion rod according to any preceding claims 1-3, characterized in that the warming moxibustion rod also includes a magnetic roller ball (18) connected with the cover (1 ).
9. The warming moxibustion rod according to any preceding claims 1-3, characterized in that the front rod (21) has an expanded portion at the upper end.
