Abstract
본 발명은 양전자 방출 단층 촬영(Positron Emission Tomography, "PET") 장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 피검사체의 크기에 따라 검출수단의 직경을 변경시킬 수 있는 PET 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 PET 장치는 피검사체를 수용하기 위한 개구부가 내부에 형성된 본체와, 개구부의 원주 방향으로 상기 수용된 피검사체를 둘러 싸도록 위치하는 검출수단을 포함한다. 검출수단은 피검사체로부터 방출되는 방사선을 검출할 수 있다. 또한, PET 장치는 검출수단을 구동하는 구동수단을 포함한다. 검출수단은 개구부의 원주방향으로 배열되는 제1 그룹의 검출헤드들과, 제1 그룹의 검출헤드들 사이에 각각 배치되는 제2 그룹의 검출헤드들을 포함한다. 제1 그룹의 검출헤드들은 구동수단에 의해 검출수단의 반경 방향으로 이동 가능하다.
