Abstract

Cette invention concerne la purification et/ou la récupération d'éthanol à partir d'un produit d'éthanol brut obtenu par hydrogénation de l'acide acétique. Les procédés de séparation et de purification d'un mélange d'éthanol brut sont utilisés pour récupérer l'éthanol et éliminer les impuretés. En particulier, les extrémités légères sont séparées dans une colonne d'extraction d'acétaldéhyde fonctionnant à une pression supérieure à la pression atmosphérique pour récupérer l'acétaldéhyde susceptible d'être renvoyé vers le réacteur et pour réduire les concentrations en acétaldéhyde dans un courant d'acétate d'éthyle.
